My German cousins turned me on to this album when I was staying with them in 1975, and we went to his concert in Wiesbaden. "Ich bin David Qualey," he began, and played. This beautiful solo guitar got me through some lonely times with the universal language of music. We played this in the car (CD my husband burned from the album) just two days ago, so I came here looking. Thank you!
Hi! I heard this music live around the same time in Hannover, where David played upstairs and Werner Lämmerhirt downstairs. Davids wife and their dog attended, too. These two super-gitarrists impressed me deeply, I had never heard something even remotely similar!
Classic American Guitar at its best! Saw David back in the early 90s in Stuttgart, Germany at MAXIM Club. Rare narrative quality and technical perfection meets "Down-to-earth-humility". Thank you for sharing.
Qualey was my first Inspiration to play Guitar. Grate ! and wonderful !!!
Thanks to David Qualey an Stockfisch-Records for Production .They also produced Werner Lämmerhirt "10.000 miles from home "
Wonderful compositions and wonderful played, bravo!
I saw Alexander Swete play "Santa Cruz" in 1995, I still remember this moment.
