I feel like this one is not so much innocence, but an unholy combination of an specific type of terminal awootism and needing very explicit and specific explanations to understand things. And since people confuse this problem with "innocence", they try unnecessarily roundabout ways of explaining it to be "tactful", but her awootism keeps making her go for the literal interpretation and doesn't understand it. It is VERY likely she actually has heard these yab terms many times in real life, but her awootism prevented her from ever understanding what people meant.
