      It went to -75 with the chill factor..Nov. 89.
      Crazy fucking cold and having to do a 15 min PT with an Alky DS.
      We were in sweats..he in BDU.
      HE couldn't take the cold...
      My Vietnam Veteran Buddies.( I was 35 when I joined)
      Told me to volunteer for every and anything...
      "When it gets shitty, you get coffee!"
      I was given a plaque with my two teammates getting one as well, for hanging new lockers in the Post Commander's Gym...and I ate like a king working chow....LOVED EVERY MINUTE.

      @@NoWayOut55 It was good times, I didn't know it then tho. I used to get all the packaged coffee from the MRE packs, I would get them from the trash. lol. In the afternoon I would drink a bunch of coffee. There was a kind of feminine dude in our platoon, the drill sergeants would make him yell his weapon number over and over again, 681. The dude didnt quit, he made it. I wouldnt mind going back their to tour the place again.

      Mr Judge lol glad you took time out of your day to right me a book, And I assumed you didnt make it past boot and got chaptered is because you stated you WERE a private in 2019, it’s 2020 a year would get you at least PFC therefore still being a private but since you WERE I can make that assumption,. Okay I can rephrase that sentence to make it less specific and personal, no one in my entire company took more than TEN minutes changing into OCPs so again I can say you were “that guy” lmao Good job writing a book though about crying how the military treats people like crap, I dont disagree, everyone knows what they signing for so why complain?       @@adenarenas7939 They already dropped it in favor of a new thing called “The First 100 Yards”.
      Supposed to be the first event the recruits go through together to help build teamwork, while building trust in their NCO’s. The supposed reasoning behind the removal was that Shark Attacks were never an actual regulated part of the Army, they were instead created during a Draft period where the Drills needed to quickly weed out those who wouldn’t make it. But with our current All Volunteer Army, it’s not as much of a necessity.

    WOW, takes me back to my days of Service in the 70s. I didn't know how treasured those memories would become until years later. So many brothers I had and we saw no color only ourselves as soldiers. To this day my service to my country stands among my best accomplishments. And now my son wants to join. "Oh Drill Sargent, leave him alone"

    I still remember most of it. Lots good memories, and bad ones. My foot got broke. Now, I'm about to leave Kuwait and still remember things my SDS told me nearly 2 years later. And this was one of his favorite cadences.

But I remember driving to OK, and came to the base, its acres upon acres and miles. And we went into this building. And I remember this vividly because my dad almost got arrested for almost pushing a bike out of the way when we were about to park
