It’s nice to be able to see the features of temple you created. It’s weathering and aging well. Thank you.
Thanks J!!
Lovely project. I'm sure it was one of the highlights of the show!
Quite remarkable development over such short time. Really a gem in your collection already.
Thanks so much!!!
Nice video Nigel keep up the good work
With all your clippings from pruning I bet you could make a great compost bin for Lauras garden.
Lots of compost from this!!!
I said it before and i'll say it again, i love how this temple is like a Greatest Hits of all the famous Angkor temples. Very impressive how much it has progresses this year
Thanks so much, I might make another!!!
Looks awesome nigel. Already looking like it's years old. Roots growing so fast.
Thanks Chris, I'm already thinking about making another temple!!
Yes you looked like you really enjoyed making that one.
Thanks!
Thanks so much, I'll buy a fine cup of coffee today!!!!!!
Takes you right into the deepest darkest part of a jungle...So very ancient looking...I think I heard a some Howler monkey's off in the distance...Man that looks heavy...Must be a beast to transport and move...The algae/moss on the stonework really adds some depth and authenticity to the setting...Really nice...Thanks for sharing...
Thanks, yes it takes me into the jungle, every time I look at it!!!
Really cool to see this planting develop knowing where it started. It already looks awesome
Спасбо за видео
It took so long to make, and well worth the wait!
Thanks Marysol, you could say, I'm HEAVY into bonsai, lol!!
армоничная работа.Очень приятно наблюдать и любоваться Вашими работами.
Absolutely lovely!!! I had a brief moment of "maybe I could do sth similar" but then I realized you are watering it three times a day and my current lifestyle would kill it in a week...
Cây buông rễ nhìn rất cổ xưa. Đẹp lắm bạn❤
Hi Nigel! Before Ta Prohm, the Chinese penjing was my favourite. But this one is simply stunning! Looking forward to seing it develop. :)
Thanks so much, I appreciate the comment!!!!
I like the kitten and sounds of nature ... and of course.. 😊big cut coming up ... looking 👍 👌 😎
Thanks so much, more to come!!
I kind of hole this kitten will stay and be a little bonsai helper 🧡, and just to say, I’m comming back to see serissa again. The cureture of canopy and trunk is perfect, little flowers are super cute, it’s probably it’s peak ❤️❤️
Thanks so much, it's beginning to grow already!!
Those kittens are cute. Make good companions
They sure do, they love to purr!!!
Very nice🎉🎉🎉
Not gonna lie this bonsai makes me happy and envy the same time it's one of your best Nigel cant believe it's around a year old keep it up makes us happy 😊
Thanks Norbert, it's already one of my favorites!!!
Love the kittens , and the rooster , too- is he ok!
Thanks Donna, yes the rooster is doing well, some aren't the best at crowing!!
Getting this tree ready for the show takes some planning ahead of time. With your expertise, this will be a show stopper.
Thanks Tom!!!
It's nice to be able to see the structure again!
An interesting note...Every video for the last two weeks has me start it over when I first select it. As if I've already watched it. And it only does it for your videos, no other channels.
Maybe it's giving you double views from me! Lol
Thanks, it looks like it growing some good branches in now, I think it will be a really nice tree in the future!!! I'm not sure why the video is doing that?
I love this creation. Love the species. I really enjoy growing Ficus Natalensis. Various subspecies but all leaves reduce considerably with defoliation and ramification.
Thanks so much, so many roots in one year!!!
@TheBonsaiZone . They are well known for their prolific root growth. This also makes them very popular as root stock to graft ficus but daveyii Nana and willow leaf ficus which have smaller leaves. Natalensis is native to the province I live in and are very impressive in nature here. They often found growing in the nooks of other tree species which they eventually strangle and take over.
Have you considered taking a chunky cutting of the Burt davyii ficus and letting it grow big enough to replace the natal ficus so that the leaf size matches?
I would think over time dealing with difference in leaf size would get old.
💜💜
👍👌👌
Just missed the premiere Nigel😮
Thanks Angel!!!
😀
Darnit I was busy elsewhere and just missed it!
From where you got this temple??
He crafted the temple himself. A few years ago he made sculptures out of clay and made cement molds of them and cemented them all together. Very detailed work, I can't imagine doing it myself. Nigel is gifted with this sort of thing.
@@DeciduousSnurb it's very detailed work.
You will end up with a whole bunch of cats, if you are not carefull, Nigel! 😅
Btw: I currenty have 7 cats in two bedroom appartment - 3 of them adopted, 4 are foster kittens still waiting for new homes. Cat distribution system works in mysterious ways... 😉
Thanks, luckily the kittens are both male and the momma is getting fixed!! Yes, I have a friend with about 20 farm cats!!
Hi Nigel! What are your thoughts on repotting a ficus benjamina too little this late in the year? I’m in zone 8a. Currently 90°-ish and 65° lows at night. Or even just slip potting it?
I find if I repot the tree in fall just before you bring it in for the winter, the tree thinks it's spring because of the warm temperatures indoors and they grow and recover really well. In a warmer climate, as long as you keep the tree above 70 F, it should recover well. Just keep it warm at night and in good light in the daytime. Don't let it dry out!!!
@@TheBonsaiZone thanks, Nigel. Love the content!
The long naked branch at 23:10 kinda bothers me lol
It's really a nice looking presentation, but won't it be more realistic for temple like this, top of the temple should be the highest point and some parts close to the top are visible and highest point of all tree are little lower than the visible top of the temple. Just my thoughts, the presentation is still lovely ❤
LoL I'm glad you realized you have too many cats. Bonsai over cats any day for me... 🤭
What happened to the other two kittens?
They have been adopted already!!!
28:47 you do?
Cause "quite" is an understatement.
Thanks Pim!!
