Thanks for the tips i have a mill on order. Sharing your knowledge is what its all about. You seem to be a fine fellow God bless you and your family keep the videos coming i need all the help i can get
Morning Todd, Great tips indeed. I've been playing with my Wood-Mizer LX250 Twin Rail. It's one of my best friends and has paid for itself already. Hopefully, life is treating Jerriath and yourself with health and happiness. God bless y'all 🙏👍🏽👍🏽
You and I talked about removing that rope that's unreal the difference it made I have pushed that saw and if you couldn't do it like that with a rope that is awesome
I like the way you think my friend.new sub.. my mill is supposed to come next week. They call and say thay cant get the engines.. supply chain issues as usual these days.. grrrrrr!;dont get me goin!! Lol.. thanks again .all great tips that lead to other ideas. Ill be watching
i ordered mine without a rope at all! hand push only. and as for my lube system, I hear good things of diesel! Personally I use a small mix of water, with dawn dishsoap, and a even smaller amount of Pinesol cleaner if I am running pitchy wood
Thx for the tips bud... I'm in the market of buying a mill and I'm the kinda guy that likes to have spare parts on hand... what parts would you recommend that I keep on hand?
I'm listening to you about the 5 tips. I have this mill but electric motor since 0ctober 2019. Still don"t have electricity run to it. Anyway I stopped the video where you are talking about the weather. I know it. South Georgia is miserable, and like you said, not really the heat but the humidity. And the bugs. Part of my land is swamp. Looking forward to milling but getting power to it is $$$. That silver bar on the rail where t de rollers ride on it...I can't get them level (can't get them to match up with the next one on the next rail) any suggestions??? Now, back to the video. Ok, great video. Thanks for sharing the knowledge. when i start milling I will see how it goes but taking that rope off and pushing to seems to be a good idea.
You are concerned about your logstops weld breaking, yet you aren't using your forklift correctly. There is absolutely no need to roll a 1,000 pound log off your forks & bang it onto the bed & logstops of your mill, and then blame Woodmizer. Gently, gently big guy! That's my tip for you.
I forget who it was but they used ATF on their blade and tracks to keep them lubed. One guy was using windshield wiper fluid on his blade. But I can totally understand why you use diesel on your blade it makes more since than ATF. Diesel ain't cheap but it's cheaper than ATF that's for sure... I remember 40 some years ago my uncle got off road diesel for the farm. Back then it was less than half the price of regular diesel... I've been off the farm for a good 53 years now. As soon as I was old enough to get out of there I was GONE only went back a couple times a year to see my grandmother she was the light of my life. When everyone said that I nothing but a messed up bad boy, she told them that I wasn't a bad boy and that God had a purpose for my life. She was right. I'm living prof that you can not run so far or so fast that the Spirit of God can not reach you when the time is right. Okay I'll stop rambling I'm heading down another ribbit hole... The older I get the more I do that. The doctors say it's from brain damage because I've had so many hard blows to my head. The last one cracked the front left side of my skull open and my brain swelled. BLAST I DID IT AGAIN!!!! LOL.... So much to say and so many stories I'd love to share but another time maybe,,,, Be blessed my friend in Jesus name... BBE..
@@ReapWhatYouSeauxLeJeune I cut alot of Douglas Fir, I've been using pinsol with water about a cup to 3gals works great smells good and inexpensive, keep cutting great channel 👍

I put a straight edge on the blade set between two bed rails and measure both side. Level by adjusting the bolts on the back of the rollers
