+Eldand Ny'is Can I ask you a question? Seriously, now. Why does it have to be one or the other, Marvel or DC? I'm just curious, cause it is very flawed thinking. In any facet of life, the monopolizing of anything is flawed thinking, wouldn't you agree?
+meg You must be new to the concept behind the Marvel vs. DC Fanboy Wars. Now, this is coming from someone who is a fan of Both Marvel and DC. Both these companies have a lot of pros and cons in terms of their quality in Comics, Movies, and TV shows. Unfortunately, until DC and Warner Bros get their Identity crisis fixed up and learn to not copy the Marvel formula as they fucked up big-time with Batman v. Superman (which would've been good had they didn't so much future plot lines), I'm gonna be supporting Marvel for a while.
Thomas Fredrickson I don't think Warner Bros/ DC fucked up. And frankly, no movie is without sin, go watch CinemaSins to find out Marvel's. I just came back from watching Civil War and wasn't that impressed. The airport fight sequence that many are raving about, in my opinion, got away from itself and got cartoony. I still enjoyed the movie overall, don't get me wrong. I support both Marvel and DC. And any other studio bringing out a good super hero movie. That you relegate yourself to one side is typical, I suppose. Just remember, even Marvel sees the bigger picture, which is why they are teaming up with Sony. Best of luck.
Saw it last night, i thought it was pretty damn dope. SPIDEY WAS GODDAMN AMAZING Black Panther KICKED ALL TYPES OF ASS but I have to admit. It ran rather long. also you really felt for both #TeamCap and #TeamIronMan so it was hard to choose. And I would watch it again but because of the length of this film even though I know they had to make it this long I'd give this a Matinee like Korey G
I'm so glad the Russo brothers are directing Infinity War. This movie and Winter Soldier are easily two of my favorite MCU movies, and yeah, this movie may have a couple of problems, but they're not big enough to stop me from enjoying the movie.
+Francisco Navarro What makes it even better, in recent news, the writers for Infinity Wars are going to go for the same thing they went for with Kumo. They state they want to make him badass, but also sympathetic.
+AshXXMayftw Once Infinity War (or whatever the new titles ar) comes out. I doubt Tony will work well against Thanos, now that "his" team has split. First off, I say "his" team because Iron Man has proven to me that he is not wise and dedicated enough to be a good leader; unlike Cap. Second; while Tony's tech is strong, Thanos has the INFINITY GAUNTLET! An artifact that can allow him to travel through time, warp reality and tear apart the very cosmos with a wave of his hand. Compared to that, Stark's nothing more than a weak-bodied nerd (no offense meant to Spidey.) The only hope is for the Avengers to STAND UNITED. But how can that happen, after so much unwarranted betrayal
When Corey said Tony was too easily swayed, it's because of his PTSD. The first Iron Man he had it from being kidnapped and almost killed by terrorists USING HIS weapons to massacre innocents. After the first Avengers it was the attack from Loki and Thanos. So yeah that made him very persuadable...I love how that made a lot of sense in the 3rd Iron Man you see his PTSD evolve.
exactly!! what a douche. i mean he makes it as if he really likes the movie, then...givin it a matinee...wtf!! i so get korey's face after hearing goodwin said that. but after sayin that he likes guardians as his top mcu flick..guess he likes his super hero movies to be without any real meat to it n just pure lite fun fantasy entertainment. CW just aint his cuppa tea then.
This movie was absolutely excellent. Black Panther was so badass. And Spidey and Ant-Man were so perfect as the comic relief. Something that really got on my nerves in Age of Ultron was the way so much of the dialogue ended in a punchline. Here they relegated most of the levity duty to those two. With a bit of help from Tony Stark of course. Actually I really want to see a Spidey/Ironman buddy movie now. They were great together.
How did Goodwin give this a matinee instead of a full price when he only had like 2 relatively small issues with the movie? What the hell? It seems like he's being overly harsh just to be different.
It's his opinion. If he feels like the movie is a matinee, then that's what he feels about the movie. Not everyone is going to think that civil war is the greatest film of all time. Simple as that.
+Laynasia Wesley in a review he should explain why he feels its a matinee though and based on how he reviewed the film it really comes across like he was rating it higher than a matinee
I listened to the review before seeing the movie so I was paying attention to the looping scenes and I have to call Korey G out on that. There's only 3 scenes about signing the accords: the initial discussion, Cap deciding not to sign and Cap considering signing until Tony had to take it a step too far. As for "he won't stop," that was almost entirely Black Widow and only in relation to Cap. It wasn't enough to even get me tipsy.
Right. I had to call Goodwin out on this too. I felt like those scenes (didn't know it was only 3) were necessary because think about it. A TEAM of heroes are in disagreement with one another (not just Cap vs Tony but basically a split down the middle for them all). That couldn't be accomplished with just one scene. With multiple scenes, I felt that it showed us just how hard it was to make such decisions and made the climax of the movie that much better.
"He won't stop" was said three times. Three. Not "like fifteen". Three. I had Korey G's criticisms in mind when I watched this and he's full of crap. There's nitpicking and then there's making shit up.
+Brandon I'm sure he did, he said at least the 80s, that's why the others are like "how old is this kid?" I'm going to see the movie again today, if I was wrong, I will humbly back down my statement!
Heh. Just saw the film. That bit from 18:33-18:49 where Martin and Goodwin say that Spider-Man was great, but they felt that another character stole the show from him ... I totally agree with them. I was going in there, and I couldn't wait to see Spider-Man, but then THAT happened, and oh my God, it was amazing!!!
In all fairness, most of the death & destruction wasn't the Avengers fault. New York was them saving lives and fighting off an alien invasion. That doesn't happen without casualties. The Triskelion was them fighting the Nazi-like Hydra (who were going to assassinate a large number of people before they were stopped.) BTW, the bulk of the damage was limited to SHIELD Headquarters. Sekovia was all Tony Stark. (Hell, he was going to sacrifice the people in the city until Captain America talked him out of it.) You can add some damage a mind-controlled Hulk caused in Seoul, but mostly you can blame Stark. HE's the one who needs to be "put in check."
So it's The Avengers fault shield had the Tesseract? Is it his fault Hydra infiltrated shield? IS it anyone's fault that Thanos is looking for the gems and Earth happens to have one? Earth being Invaded had 0 to do with the heros. Even Ultron was and accident born from earth trying to protect itself. So yes. It's a huge plot hole.
***** I don't think ure using the term plothole incorrectly. Hillary clinton didnt cause benghazi but she is still held accountable. Homie, if a goddamn city fell out of the sky bc of the scarlet witch, and ny was almost destroyed bc of thor's brother and hawk eye, and ultron was created bc of stark and banner, and black widow released govt secrets and Captain america and falcon crashed helicarriers into cities, and hulk rampaged across africa and ultrons son was all of a sudden just on the team, the very least that would happen is the govt would ask them to sign a piece of paper.
Man I totally agree with Goodwin. Great film, but way too much of it was going in circles, the plot was established well quite quickly. But it dwells on it without adding tension or any real substance.
That's exactly my issue. I like the film but after they established the registration, there was no real build up for me. I kept waiting for a massive earth sharing plot point and never got one.
Kenton Morales Honestly I don't really care what genre the film is in, IMO The Dark Knight is an amazing movie. That said, I'm not so well-versed in comic book lore, but.. isn't Batman considered a superhero?
Guy Simchony i agree. Dark knight was amazing. Probably the best of all time. but it was like a DECADE ago. Rises was hot garbage. fun fact: captain america is the first and only comic book movie trilogy to get better with each sequel!
just saw the movie and this is my ish!! I'll do a review but this why I like korey, he knows what he's talking about. Goodwins just complaining just to be difficult this movie beyond any other marvel movie!!
11:25 yeah, but let's remember that when he decided to move his company away from weapons it was because someone else was using it with full intention of harming others, but the whole Ultron incident was started from his own actions. He feels more responsible because his really is to blame no matter how just his intentions were.
After seeing the movie with 3 friends, it made me think of these 3 friends having their divided feelings. I liked it more than both of them, they basically just said Spiderman and Ant-Man were good. They were the highlights but certainly not all that made it great. The more I think about the movie, the more I like it.
The movie was incredible. I'm with Korey, it topped Winter Soldier and is better than sex.. Alot of sex. I'm gonna see it again. But.. I didn't care for Spider man. But, I loved giant Ant Man. Think about what would you do if you were in Steve's position. Someone doesn't grasp the concept that causalities are a part of war and its gonna happen, and someone tells you that you have to sign away your rights. If the world was threatened, does Ross really think that people are gonna call the government, and a corrupt government at that, to protect them. Hell no. They're gonna call ones the people can trust
I had low expectations going in since a lot of super hero movies, especially from Marvel, seem to have a very samey feel. While the fights are great, the characters are still realized and great.... I nearly fell asleep like twice. This movie is so damn long. I mean LONG. It gets to the point, for me, that when a fight does pick up, I just wanted it to hurry up and be over so the movie could just progress "I get it, bucky is cool, capt. is cool. Move on please." I mean everything in the movie works for what it is, but for me when you finally uncover the ending it just put a sour taste in my mouth. Just imagining this guys plan put on paper and how everything fell in line juuuuust perfectly. I mean, one slip up here or there and the whole plot wouldnt have even happened. Spiderman was amazing, yes. Stay until after AAAALLL THE credits to see more. . . and with that i think that was the only real issues with the movie. I saw it Matinee and i think it fights nice there.
Loved Civil War!!! Loved the Empire strikes Back reference lol Black Panther killed it, Spidey killed it :) need to watch it couple more times to digest all the action. #TeamPanther
It's not about just one kid that died that pushes Tony to agree with the accord. The point of that is the casualties aren't just numbers, they're real people with life.
+KING JAY UNO He wasn't saying that Homecoming will destroy it, but in terms of getting Spiderman right, Marvel did a much better job than either other attempts, and I agree with him. Every time Spiderman was on the screen, I had a bit smile on my face, because that's who Peter Parker/Spiderman is.
1:33 "#FuckKorey" haha Also, when Martin dresses up as a character, he really commits. He hardly ever, if ever, does it halfway. Respect for his dedication.
+Lerkero Oh please edit that last sentence out. We don't need another "He's da best spiderman" argument. Leave it there, and you know what's coming just saying
My List. Best to less best. 1. Avengers 2. Civil War 3. Winter Soldier 4. Iron Man 5. Guardians of Galaxy 6. Ant Man 7. Captain America 8. Thor 9. Age of Ultron 10. Incredible Hulk 11. Iron Man 2 12. Dark World 13. Iron Man 3
Looking at these clips it looks like there are short of characters, where is HUlk?, Thor? Do they suppose to be in the Civil War comics fighting? who else is missing?
+mew10521 Thor is in Asgard dealing with shit in the other realms. Hulk is taking time off because he's not sure he can handle being an Avenger, when he rages and causes destruction. In the Comic, they created a robot clone of Thor in his presence.
I strenuously object with you in the Adidas jacket sir! This film was perfection!Long time sub here and i have always enjoyed the channel and the reviews!By the way the film was not long to long !actually it was not long enough.I would soak up another hour more perfection of film making that i was so gracefully blessed with yesterday on screen! This was an incredible enjoyment and i was mind blown.Movie makers take notice!
I'm looking forward to seeing this movie but I'm disappointed that Marvel couldn't afford Tobey Maguire to reprise his role as Peter Parker/ Spider-Man. One of the reasons why I wanted Tobey back is because the tower which Venom, Spidey and Sandman fought on at the end of Spider-Man 3 was the Stark tower under construction. In Spider-Man 2, Mr. Jameson is looking for a great name for Doctor Octavius, one suggestion from Hoffman is the moniker Doctor Strange, about which Jameson is sarcastically excited, adding that the name has already been taken
But those Spider-Man movies aren't a part of the MCU. So that would be kind of weird referencing that particular scene. Also Tom Holland did a amazing job. I can not see Tobey Maguire pulling the same stunts and making those great jokes.
+d300wallace It's a missed opportunity; Marvel has always been passionate about being fateful to the comic books as much as possible. I understand that this is an adaptation and changes have to be made but I read that Peter Parker was an older science teacher in the Civil War comics. It would have been nice to see that on the big screen. However, I read that that if Marvel had brought Tobey back then Miles Morales would star in Spider-Man: Homecoming which received a mixed reaction.
am I the only one who gave Goodwin the deathstare after he gave his review??? all this discussion of it, made me beyond ecstatic to see It. and all this time, when it was brought up I was like oh ok cool. now after coleman said everything I was like YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!! then Goodwin gave his review and I was greatly displeased for a brief moment
I love when Corey Goodwin says "I agree with most of you points BUT" and then Martin looked at him like he was about to go "Boy dontchu say nothing bad to this now!"
What a PHENOMENAL MOVIE.....WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE. Civil War has become my all-time favorite MCU Movie---heck, my favorite COMIC BOOK MOVIE EVER!!!!!!! SIMPLY AMAZING!!!
The movie doesn't start slow. The movie is perfectly paced. Problem is where so damn excited for the airport scene, you wait desperately through the dialogue to get to the big clash. 2nd viewing feels much better paced.
High Matinee for me. ***POSSIBLE SPOILERS*** - - - - I just don't feel like any character is in danger. Even when Black Widow and Hawkeye are fighting she asks him "we are still friends right?", that alone lets you know that they are not going to hurt each other or nothing big is going to happen. Sometimes it felt like another typical marvel movie with great action. Besides, i felt that Black panthers motivations where rushed, like " hey this is my father who i look up to" 30 seconds later he is dead.
+thething75191 That comes down to your own expectations being let down. I never expected a bloodlust fight even though it is civil war. I just thought the movie was less about killing and more about the opposing of ideologies. But even then, there is bloodlust in final act. Bordering better than sex for me
+idkyobro That's the problem, i had no exptectations of a bloodlust fight, i went into the movie knowing that they wouldn't hurt each other, taking all of the suspense away. Like i've said, good movie but typical marvel stuff
+SuperKillerMthfDude Lets put it this way: *SPOILERS* - - If Rhodes can survive falling from the freaking sky inside an metal suit then nobody can die. That's my complain, i kind of stop worrying about people getting killed in a marvel movie.
Spoilers for the movie: One of my favorite aspects was that the big lofty superhero royal rumble was at the middle of the movie as a sort of a climax point, meanwhile the actual final battle is a small and more personal bout inbetween the central characters that is really about the characters themselves more then it is about just the action and visuals. So the exact opposite of what BVS did. What a coincidence!
What was it Anthony Mackie said about Batman v Superman at the Winter Soldier press conference? Oh yeah, "punks step up to get beat DOWN!" Truer words were never spoken...
Goodwin loss all kinds of cred saying GOTG was better than Civil War. I liked GOTG as well, but it's no Civil War, not by a long shot. GOTG is a cartoon compared to Civil War. That's not a bad thing, cause they are more of your family friendly MCU section where as what the Russo's are doing is more of the adult side of the MCU.
Oh is it time y'all ready ok here we go...THIS MOVIE WAS AWESOME omg the political aspect the action the acting Black Panther and Spiderman were just fucking perfect Chadwick and Tom take a bow 8/10 really enjoyed it
irondrumwork09 The why the fuck doesnt he just shape shift to look like a human as well. Rather than simply wearing human clothes over his robot skin ?
I love how black panther wasn't on either side. He was just after Bucky. Other than that he didn't give a shit.
Every had their own separate reason for being on a "side"
yea
Right on.
yep. because at that point he had nothing to do with the avengers initiative
I mean...he was supporting the Sokovia Accords with his father
I can only dream to one day look as cool as Martin looks in that Cap costume.
+baylaust lol
Zemo in this movie did more damage to the Avengers than any other villain in the MCU
+CaptainTalon448 guess he used the superpower of thnking things through
what kind of damage did he actually do to The Avengers?
Richard Hanks physically=zero
emotionally=
A nuke
and he didn't lay a single punch on them
CaptainTalon448 true that.
Martin's outfit is still better than the 90's Captain America outfit.
+mob2uz lol
The movie was not long enough for me... I wanted it to go on for a few more days
Ikr!!
I don't think I ever wanted a movie to continue so much!
I watched it 3 times and dun think it's enough...
Right!
That Spiderman moment would have been SOOOOO much more impacting if they had kept it a secret
Marvel:"On your left."
DC:".........."
That will happen when the movie get more money than Batman v Superman
ZING!

Couldn't have said it better myself Corey 😂
A better Avengers movie than Ultron
+Average Human Haha, I actually agree on that.
Both movies are good
indeed
SO
WHO
WON!!!!!!!!!!!!????????
+Bethany Lopez disney?
It might be just me, but I was engaged the entire movie. It didn't feel long to me at all. (That's What She Said)
+Sung Ra The movie did feel long to me butt it was great nonetheless.
no it definitely wasn't just you. Time flew by while I was watching it.

this is why i love these fools
When Corey said Tony was too easily swayed, it's because of his PTSD. The first Iron Man he had it from being kidnapped and almost killed by terrorists USING HIS weapons to massacre innocents. Wait, isn't Static a DC character?... get the hell outta here!
"Remember that really old movie The Empire Strikes Back?" -- Spider-Man

+A GriffinTV he never said the year.

this movie was way better than Guardians of the Galaxy
you deserve so much more subs guys

just saw the movie and this is my ish!! I'll do a review but this why I like korey, he knows what he's talking about. Goodwins just complaining just to be difficult this movie beyond any other marvel movie!!
agreed
+SeccondC Reviews right? the "he wont stop" line was only said three times and the accords signing conversations gradually added layers.
This review is absolutely hilarious!
It gets to the point, for me, that when a fight does pick up, I just wanted it to hurry up and be over so the movie could just progress "I get it, bucky is cool, capt. is cool. Move on please."
I mean everything in the movie works for what it is, but for me when you finally uncover the ending it just put a sour taste in my mouth.
Already 1 dislike. Damn you, Snyder.
+feyzal92 Looks like Goyer added one too.
6 years later and that still gets me... "We 'bout to get bank". LMAO
Discovered your channel today. Watched this one and the X-Men Apocalypse ones so far. You guys are great. Keep it up!
This movie was phenomenal! Those 2 dudes are trippin!
Rex amillion Goodwin is fucking stupid, a matinee? Rofl..
Man WTF do Goodwin be talking about?
The salt levels on Korey are reaching new heights. lol
Everytime I listen to the goddamn podcast, they post the vid like 30 mins later. I gotta learn patience.
OH MAN, that Macy's catalog joke fuckin killed me. Some of these reviews you guys do leave me wanting so much more.
Good shit
Loved Civil War!!! Loved the Empire strikes Back reference lol Black Panther killed it, Spidey killed it :) need to watch it couple more times to digest all the action. #TeamPanther
Dat head nod when captn gets some :p
+ian lee that*
MARTHA!!!!!
WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME!!!
Debating if fighting the crowds was worth it and this comes on. Perfect timing. Thanks.
LMAO at the Captain Planet initiative. Ray and Goodwin are killing it.
Of all the amazing and memorable things this movie did, my favorite is still the fact that they made cinematic Spider-Man perfect. Finally.
I just came back from seeing this movie. Better than sex is an understatement for me.
how about..... Gift From God
It's not about just one kid that died that pushes Tony to agree with the accord. The point of that is the casualties aren't just numbers, they're real people with life.
Spider-Man 1 and 2 were still pretty awesome. I wouldn't jump to conclusions that Homecoming will eclipse it
+KING JAY UNO He wasn't saying that Homecoming will destroy it, but in terms of getting Spiderman right, Marvel did a much better job than either other attempts, and I agree with him. Every time Spiderman was on the screen, I had a bit smile on my face, because that's who Peter Parker/Spiderman is.
1:33
"#FuckKorey"
haha
Also, when Martin dresses up as a character, he really commits. He hardly ever, if ever, does it halfway. Respect for his dedication.
24:32 - 24:58 I can watch that all day and never stop laughing.
We've been waiting for this...
Spider-Man did mention Star Wars stuff during the battle so I think the Stormtrooper outfit works.
Toby Mcquire Spiderman has nothing on Tom Hollins.
+Lerkero Oh please edit that last sentence out. We don't need another "He's da best spiderman" argument. Leave it there, and you know what's coming just saying
so sure zemo would lead an anti avengers in the future...for the fanboys here: aka the Masters of Evil.
Will you guys review Ratchet and Clank?
My List. Best to less best.
1. Avengers
2. Civil War

Thank fuck for Korey... his comments and reactions to Goodwin and Martin were SPOT ON. Civil War is PERFECT.
Great video. Don't know how I never came across you guys until now, but I'm remedying that immediately.
SUBSCRIBED!
that batman vs superman joke made me laugh love korey
i feel like its too hated
+bigace89s is it fuck it was really bad
My nephew and his gf finally went to saw Captain America 3 another day. They loved it!!!
Saw it last friday. Mexico always has these movies more than week earlier.
Awesome
***** Unfortunately not, and in Mexico games are fucking expensive. Over on steam the games are super cheap though.
Good for you
lawofgravity1979 Thanks, I'm actually in a border city so I can cross over whenever I feel like watching a Marvel movie early
+Kempes SFA England get's all these movies first though.
This was an incredible enjoyment and i was mind blown.Movie makers take notice!
martin schooled korey on this one
DAMN!!!! Took you folks long enough. Seriously though, I loved the review and I am even more excited to see this! Especially for Black Panther :D
Have you ever played Spider-Man 2 for PlayStation 2? The webhead quipped a lot more there than he did in the movies.
However, I read that that if Marvel had brought Tobey back then Miles Morales would star in Spider-Man: Homecoming which received a mixed reaction.
am I the only one who gave Goodwin the deathstare after he gave his review??? all this discussion of it, made me beyond ecstatic to see It. and all this time, when it was brought up I was like oh ok cool. now after coleman said everything I was like YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!! then Goodwin gave his review and I was greatly displeased for a brief moment
nope he is officially wack
Nice intro, good insightful conversation, amazing group chemistry. I can't WAIT to see your next video :)
I agree. There was nothing wrong with the discussion scenes I LOVE this movie.

I just don't feel like any character is in danger.
Bordering better than sex for me
Did you need to see them playing catch in the back yard to get that he loved his dad?
+idkyobro That's the problem, i had no exptectations of a bloodlust fight, i went into the movie knowing that they wouldn't hurt each other, taking all of the suspense away. Like i've said, good movie but typical marvel stuff
thething75191 will have to disagree with you completely on that one.
+SuperKillerMthfDude Lets put it this way: *SPOILERS*

If Rhodes can survive falling from the freaking sky inside an metal suit then nobody can die.
Marisa tomei aunt may.......more like aunt bae!!
+darryl onacloud Tony references this many times
Still my #3 top Marvel film
That last bit was uncalled for
The winter soldier remains top on my list still
What was it Anthony Mackie said about Batman v Superman at the Winter Soldier press conference? Oh yeah, "punks step up to get beat DOWN!"
Truer words were never spoken...
Forgive me if I'm wrong chaps but wasn't this uploaded earlier in the week or something? I swear I've seen this before
Oh is it time y'all ready ok here we go...THIS MOVIE WAS AWESOME omg the political aspect the action the acting Black Panther and Spiderman were just fucking perfect Chadwick and Tom take a bow 8/10 really enjoyed it
Am team cap all the way n this movie is the best movie so far this year
Watched a couple reviews. Great stuff guys, very hilarious. Subbed.
Lol I never noticed that most of them don't have a secret identity. Lol blew my mind
Well if Tony and Steve didn’t like each other in the first Avengers, what makes you think they’re gonna come together in CW?!!! The irony is so 👏🏾
21:34
I fucking died.
Why the fuck does The Vision need to wear clothes in this ?
LOL
+Nirai Paku too fit in... Duh
irondrumwork09 The why the fuck doesnt he just shape shift to look like a human as well. Rather than simply wearing human clothes over his robot skin ?
Nirai Paku who says he can do that??? They didn't establish that shit... Duhh
irondrumwork09
marvel.wikia.com/wiki/Vision_(Jonas)_(Earth-616) Do your homework next time moron
I love these guys
this feels like the most complete live action Spider-Man. we finally get to see the strength of him.
+LeAndre McCoy And the TRUE personality of a high school kid making his way in the world of superheroes.
Did you see the Raimi Spider-man? He'd have pimp slapped Holland to the curb.
Civil War was outstanding.
