Snyder treated this Superman with an arc In Man of Steel he isn’t the Superman we know and love but that’s part of the narrative he’s a rookie when zods army comes to earth and still manages to save the planet, and the planet is divided some believe Superman is a beacon of hope and the others believe he’s just an alien that doesn’t belong here and Clark struggles with this in BVS. His arc is a lot like Jesus some believe he was son of god a savior and some believed he wasn’t and they crucified him, In BVS he sacrifices himself to save the planet and in his death people realized what he stood for doing the right thing. And in his absence the planet has gone to shit. And When he’s finally resurrected he becomes the Superman we know and love
Cavill's Superman felt more human than Christopher Reeve, I can't take Superman seriously if he's always all happy go Lucky and smiling at the camera every goddamn time.

It would have been nice to se a ripped Gordon in a wife beater fighting aliens with a shotgun or him getting his shirt ripeed off in the fight. Just a few seconds of "Damn! He's ripped!"
I think I read somewhere the JK Simmons is just a gym rat anyways, and this wasn't even for the movie as much it's just his everyday kind of thing. Look at him in something like Whiplash, and you can see how ripped the dude is even there.
Its mostly for the ass kicking he does in the TV show Counterpart on Starz, everyone should check it out, its great.
Dude was always in shape. There's that great deleted scene from Spider-Man 2 where JJJ puts on the discarded Spiderman suit and other than his head, he didn't look silly.

I feel they should have spent more time building their universe with other movies of individual heroes that would be in the Justice League movie before trying to make a justice league movie where half of its members have had no time on the big screen. Instead of making that Batman V Superman movie, they could have even made a movie about the origins of the Justice League members, where 20 or so minutes would be spend on each one.

I agree but you can see what they wanted to do BVS and get along with the team up movies. If they did each origin story first people would be complaining about we’ve already seen so many origins and DC is so behind. We know Aqua Man is coming and Hopefully The Batman and either Cyborg or the Flash will follow soon after.

The "interrogation" scene Black Widow had with Loki in The Avengers movie made me scratch my head on how lame it was; I understand why they did it - you have a generic non-super human with no meta powers who they need to utilise somehow because #feminism so they show her cool, super abilities to draw out information from the enemy. LAME. It was so obvious and phoned-in, that it's always my go-to argument against my friends and hubby on how LAME EACH FRANCHISE CAN BE WITH THEIR LAME FORCED MOMENTS and their LAME-ASS NON-THREATENING VILLAINS (Loki, that Transformers' wannabe Thanos; that hipster clone Luther).
The only villain that has ever made me scared for any heroes was the Terminator and Alien.
It doesn't help that he gets taken out by his own Parademons- the same creatures that even Batman was able to fend off on his own. And before that when Superman was kicking his ass up and down all by himself.

Superman assumes the Clark Kent personality because he wants to succeed in his own merits without having to use his powers. In many instances it’s been noted that the Clark Kent persona is his true self in the same way the Batman persona is Bruce’s true self.

I hate the fact that they are doing a justice league movie without green lantern and Martian man hunter I understand they are not popular to mainstream people to me it is impossible to talk about the justice league without those two.characters. Another thing I have to mention is steppenwolf is a weak villain.
robert ross was hoping for green lantern to pop in somewhere. They even shown green lanterns in the flashback.
One thing that made it lame. The villain could just spawn next to the box like he was in nuketown or something. The Amazonian army stood no chance neither did the water people.

He has enough resources to upgrade his suit to match any super powers. He pretty much on an even playing field in Batman Beyond.
Poor writing and timeline management seem to be the reasons for most of these faults. The Batman that helped found the Justice League shouldn't of been the one from Frank Miller's books. He should've been closer to his prime. The only way I see to fix this is either more piss poor writing, or doing something interesting like bringing in Terry McGinnes as the new Batman with that sick Batman Beyond suit. Even that would be out of the proper timeline though, so I doubt it'll happen.
As for Steppenwolf...he's truly just a warm-up for Darkseid. I highly doubt anyone gives a shit about or wanted to see Steppenwolf in live action. I'm really baffled as to why they chose him for a film of this magnitude. They basically made a blatant choice to handicap themselves. If they felt it was too soon for that powerhouse to step into the show, they could've just used the armies of Apokolips on Earth while using the rest of the time to introduce Darkseid on his homeworld and fill in some backstory about him, his world, and his goals. That probably would've helped the average viewer a lot.

Just saw JusticeLeauge I went into this film w/ literally NO EXPECTATIONS & NO EXCITEMENT/HYPE, due to critics/reviews & the last few DC films Batman V Superman and Suicide Squad literally made me Angry & are crap films to me. Honestly I think that helped a bit cause honestly I didn't mind the film all that much. Of course there were a few scenes that made me go hmm 🤔😐like all the Crap CGI & some stupid plot points but if I’m keeping it 💯 I wasn’t Mind blowingly bored like I was in BvS & Suicide Squad so that’s a Plus to me. & I did enjoy seeing everyone team up in live action. I was on the verge of giving it a High DoubleToasted/ Spill Rental. But there was that moment where they said “my fav quote” from a certain someone so I gave it a bump to matinee and all in all it wasnt great but it was fine/alright to me.
JaxBlade I had expectations but other than that I felt the same way. Some dumb parts some good parts but it was fun.
JaxBlade suicide squad was way better then Bateman vs Superman which was boring an ruined Doomsday epic bomb Harley Quinn was fucking bad ass!!! Yes both of them had horrible cg but welcome to D.C.

Overall, this movie felt like it was saved by Joss Whedon. I'd hate to wonder what mess was planned originally.

Ooooh. I'm glad people are liking Cavill's Superman in this movie...for once.
It's an okay film. No offense to the hardcore D.C. fans and those that just enjoyed the film but there really are missed opportunities and some mistakes that actually carried over from the previous films. The CG villain is weak.Batman, after being hang up with his dead parents is now hang up with the loss of Superman. People prepare for Flashpoint reset button if this don't go well.

Yay, it didn't suck! I will still wait for that extended edition though. Enough of this practice of having the audience pay to watch a semi-complete version in theaters, only to release a 'director's cut' edition (that it is 'supposed' to explain a lot of things that didn't make sense) a few months later and have people pay again.

Like honestly it couldve made more sense for Ares to be the villain for justice league because they set him up in the wonder woman movie. I never thought I’d be so overjoyed to see Superman return in a film, but him coming back in this film was fucking awesome! Overall, the film was pretty good - a little OTT with some of the humor and some shoddy CGI, but when it works, it totally works.

on a side note, i enjoyed JL for what it was. went in with super low expectations and was happy with it. definitely felt choppy at the beginning so can't wait for a director's (...directors'?) cut. definitely a high matinee

that thing you mention about they focussing in just the one family..i don't know if you catched this, but the whole city was supposed to be mostly abandoned. they explained how it had been a nuclear powerplant explotion there leaving the whole area off limits to regular civilans..only squaters seem to be there since they had not option..so is not a Avengers saving New york type situation. maybe they felt that basically 1 family was representing of the human factor since mostly they were all like homeless persons. in fact supes saved a building full. but then nothing else was shown in regards to bystanders..all the other building were empty i think
I enjoyed JL but one thing that I did notice after it ended was that I obviously felt that the movie was short (although that didn't make it bad)
The Red Guy I know a bad movie when I see one. This was terrible. I was so outraged with this film. I wanted to kick WBs ass and then pull out the animated series and the JL animated films. This is how you are supposed to do it. Why can't you put this in live action better!! I hated it.
Every time Superman was on screen I just kept staring at his upper lip. It is so noticeable that its CG to get rid of the stache.

I love this movie. It was a great time happy to see my childhood hero come to life. It's a great movie have minor issues editing issues in the beginning parts of the plot was a bit messy. But all the heroes are great and fun

This version of the Flash seems more like Wally West and Less like Barry Allen, which is the only version of the Flash I actually like. And by the way, I agree with Martin as well.

Stephenwolf is a precursor to darkseid and apocalypse. He’s not going the real threat. There’s more coming most likely. It sounds like this movie needed to be like 2:20 or so, not 1:55 or so. From what every reviewer is saying, it would actually benefit from adding back some missing character development or plot moving scenes. I guess I’ll form my own opinion when I see it tomorrow
