  • In Stage 5 we may have learnt what the different types of radiation are, but often what radiation is in the chemical context is misunderstood. In this video we will be discussing what radiation is, what the different types of radiation are, how we can express radioactive decay using nuclear reaction equations, and also explore the band of stability.
    📚Syllabus
    ● Model the atom's discrete energy levels including electron configuration
    ● Investigate energy levels in atoms and ions through:
    - Collecting primary data from a flame test using different ionic solutions of metals
    - Examining spectral evidence for the Bohr Model
    What are the different types of radiation? What is radiation? How do we express nuclear reactions?

    How dare you spead misinformation, at 3:22 , you explain the fact that radium goes through alpha decay yet it stays radium?? Radon is rn

      Yes that’s a mistake. Should be Rn instead of Ra
