@@TheJaetaylor I am from the UK, but can see that Saudi Arabia have no motivation other than to diversify their economy from oil. They are trying to take control of Professional golf to make money, no other reason. It is a business investment for them and once they have splashed the cash to take full control in the following years with no guard rails or push back, they will begin making changes that suits them and Saudi Arabia. They do not care about the history or traditions of golf and will only "grow the game" in the future if it suits them. I wouldn't be surprised if in 10 years times (IF PIF succeed in their hostile takeover), most the top players and events will have to be based in the middle east. My comment is simple. Hypocrite. His comment " I want to play against the best in the world." Well, they ain't on the LIV tour. And like he needs the money. No, never will I care about Jon Rahm or what he does again. Sorry, Hypocrite.
No CEO would pass up more money. As corporations like Honda and Wells Fargo don’t want to spend more money on the PGA. Even through they get on PGA telecasts and say it’s all about local charities, really? They look at it as good will advertising. Look at the pay out for the winners of the Grant Thorton tournament 500,000 each ! Chump change. Compared to 500,000,000 for signing his and literally doing nothing. A pledge to show up and play golf.
Why doesn’t the LIV Tour and PGA Tour just play team events against each other? The game is all about competition, and the PGA could be more aggressive on the money side IF our government would allow companies to start freaking drilling for oil again! Stop bankrupting our nation and economy on this idea that electric products are going to save everyone. We still need oil to make batteries and to make and maintain the machines that make these batteries. These companies could easily bust our country’s economy and morale, if our stupid government would stop playing selfish games!
Every single male golfer has dreamed of winning the Masters or the Open but not a single one has ever dreamed of winning a LIV tourney, and they never will. It's a joke.
Well, Rahm has the opportunity to do both. There is no way that the PGA Tour will have much of a future, keeping the LIV guys out. The Saudis will just keep poaching top players until the tour dies. I’ve been a golf fan for 40 years, and I don’t like watching LIV, but I also don’t watch anything but the majors anymore, because I just don’t like the product much anymore. But, it’s ridiculous to think that guys should stay with the PGA for less money, and more work.

Forget additive; that is the very definition of subtraction. It is a diluted product!!! There is a fundamental fault with the competition that LIV Golf is creating, and for a second put aside the problematic Saudi strings to the venture. At its heart, golf has been appreciated for many decades for being the purest rendition of meritocracy, where spots weren't given and you could only make what you earned on the course after making the cut which made for intriguing storylines which made it multifaceted and exciting. LIV Golf is the antithesis of this spirit. It offers astronomical signing bonuses and no-cut guaranteed paydays to players most fans would not pay to see and there is nothing on the line for most of the rich players, no legacy building, no storied tournaments no prestige. No reason for these guys to be playing aside from the chance to line their pockets even more so no matter how they finish. It is a glorified exhibition, a televised member-guest, and nothing more.
You're all sadly and pathetically missing the point! Let's be honest. Jon Rahm went to LIV STRICTLY FOR THE 600 MILLION. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR ALL PRO GOLFERS IS MONEY! Don't believe any of that nonsense about loving the game and titles being the most important. You can always judge people by their actions. Rahm and other golf stars chose the LIV money over anything the PGA Tour had to offer - history, titles, fame, legacy, or loyalty. I'm happy for Rahm. How could anyone in their right mind turn down 600m! Money is the most important thing in this world for 99% of the people. They all have a price, a number, they will accept. More PGA stars will leave for LIV, I'm sure of it. This might be the end of the PGA Tour as we know it. That will be a deserving fate because of their greed that Michelson pointed out, and because they have tried to monopolize pro golf. From the beginning, LIV has had a right to exist and recruit players, who of their own free will join it. Also, all of that talk about Saudi money being blood money because of the Saudi human rights violations and political murders is hypocritical nonsense. Look at the war crimes and murder the USA is supporting with Israel's murderous genocide of Palestinian civilians in Gaza, for one clear example. USA money is blood money too. We live in a world where many corporations and companies make billions of dollars off of war and murder, or off of polluting the planet with smog and chemicals. So, all of the golf tours and professional sports are full of blood money. I don't like LIV's format or their loud music, but with all of that Saudi money involved it is here to stay. I do think we will soon see a merger of the two tours, because that will be the only way the PGA tour survives.

I always felt that those that said that it isn't about the money especially when Jack Nicklaus said it was somewhat disingenuous as he had to make a living at it.
You are wrong. In your world money is king, in others it is not. So for you to say with certainty that money is the first consideration for every single human being on the planet is laughable.
@@jimpowell2296 no. What you said was laughable and 100% completely wrong. You needed money to buy whatever device you’re using to type that ridiculous comment. Whatever clothes you wear, how did you get them? You had to buy them with what? MONEY. That car you drive, money. Don’t have a car and ride a bike, money bought that, don’t have either of those and use public transportation? Guess what? You need money for that. That food you eat, money bought that. Money rules the world. Stop living in La La land lmfao.
@@jimpowell2296 Yeah and the first decision you made while getting your job was? It's pointless to have this conversation with folks like you. You're honestly going to sit there and tell me that if you weren't able to make a living at your job you'd happily stay there knowing full well you can't pay your bills?
@@gosenal you went to the extreme in your response. Let’s say you are married with two kids, get a lucrative job offer in Los Angeles. You have a 2nd offer in a smaller city in say Idaho or Montana. LA pays $90,000 a year and the other is $72,000 a year. The trade off for the safety of yourself and family is $18,000. Your kids go to a school where they can actually be taught correctly and in safety. Over ten years you lose $180,000 dollars. Having your kids in the environment of safety while learning is important is it not? You and your wife’s peace of mind is important is it not?
Please respond to me.
@@jimpowell2296 Your hypothetical proves my point exactly it's about the money. If you can't feed yourself, your family, pay the bills there's no point in taking the job.
welcome Jon, now you are playing with the best players...good luck with your new team...
I used to respect Rahm but he lied when he said he wasn't playing golf just for the money. You ruined your legacy, Jon, by going to that Arab funded country club league. I'll never watch LIV so have a nice life.
💯‼️
You have never lied in your life? The man can change his mind like we are all entitled to. Get over it
Buh bye, we don't need you to watch LMAO
Lmao you’re an idiot. The guy was stabbed in the back by the pga tour leadership and he made a decision for himself. Don’t watch the pga tour who takes money from Saudi all the time. You’re an idiot. Guarantee you’re over the age of 50 just drinks the koolaid the golf channel tells you
He didn't ruin your stupidity
My only other comment, is of course for the vast majority of LIV players it's ALL about the money. However how many tens or even hundreds of millions extra, do you require to live??? Especially when all that extra dough is tainted in RED. Yes, no matter how much they'll deny it,... it's truly BLOOD money!!!🤑
Una interesante entrevista
Love this guy! Congratulations to you Sir.
PGA Tour should have treated its players better.
Oh no nobody has any integrity men's pro golf is ruined
True
Why is it that it seems like McAfee does all of his interviews after he rolls out of bed drunk all the time? Not a fan lol.
I Got a name for Jon’s team “ The Camel Jockeys “
Muy interesante y divertido
So weird to me that Americans are celebrating Professional Golf being subjected to a hostile takeover from Saudi Arabia. Once America loses control, Saudi Arabia will never give it back. Be careful what you wish for guys 😂
That's what most americans don't get. It's a world game, it ain't an American game. LIV get that and are taking the opportunity to grow the game with the next generation in mind
The Saudi's are certainly no savours of golf as some are making them out to be. The PGA has many issues to fix, but some people may regret cheering on Saudi Arabia taking over so many of the great sporting intuitions.
GUYS... Im driving over a Bridge..... I'm pretty sure I saw Jay Monohan, pull over, get out of his car along with his passenger Keith Pelly, they stood on the railing, held hands, looked knowingly into each other's eyes, nodded and took the leap. As they descended the last word, I could hear from both of them, was...., "Noooormannnn".
As a Irish golfer under age , living in America, PGA Tour is the Premier League equivalent to The English Football League, Jon Just joined The MLS , Liv is a joke , went to Bedimester , it’s xxxx golf , sports is xxxxx by the Saudi , like Mane and Ronaldo playing in empty stadiums it’s Life less !! Just like The Saudi Pro League no history no culture in the sport , they have to ban them from Majors now!!
Go Devils!
Inspiration??
Saudia Arabia mistreats woman??
Its all about the $$$
AJ is a lot better when he just states blankly into the screen.
rorys wife: 400 million? You putz!
They should have left the golf ball alone haha
Jon, you already have enough money, what you will do earning this, PGA tour was better
rubbish . Pga tour was greedy and self absorbed.
The fans hate LIV. Nobody is watching. I hope Rahmbo comes in with a brief to fix the lack of product market fit and customer-centricity. That's where he'll earn the $$s
Americans hate LIV, rest of the world loves it because we actually get to see the best play in person, it’s a real world tour, not a national golf league like the pga tour.
So sad to watch Tiger, Rory and the remaining clinging on to their sinking ship🤦.
Good luck on the new Tiger Rory league. Party of 2 😬
Yeah I’ll never watch LIV
Brooks said the same family thing when he went lol when u have to be professional and can’t say now it doesn’t matter how I play I have $ so who cares now I can just have fun
The best product and the best golf....OOPS....
Q the fake news. John rahm is a stud and I only wish he joined last year. The pga tour and jay m are a joke. Snooze fest watching every tourney since tiger left. LIV is where it’s at. Let’s go spieth!!!!
Have you watched any LIV events? The production value is trash. How are they any different or better than the PGA Tour when it comes to watching on TV?
Nothing money can't buy, even loyalty to a tour that built you up. And you can tell he lied when he said his team never presented the opportunity to go to LIV, strategy always was, raise his stock and ask for even MORE money. He should have been pressed more when he stumbled over that lie.
Good laugh ❤
Funny how all the douchey golfers end up in the “Bone Saw Redemption “ Tour.
Two sellouts, McAfee to bleeping Disney/ESPN, Rahm to the Saudis/LIV golf. Say it aint so. Sad.
Los Quixotes.
Army Navy game as the backdrop...smh. Pretty sure this interview could have waited until Monday.
Thank God,it wasn't in New York City, with the skyline, where the world trade towers were.
Buen video

The death of the pga
Finau going next

Dude really got $550 million. 😳
Great
If you have to explain why you went to LIV for anything other than the money then you should have went and not accepted any money.
Every single male golfer has dreamed of winning the Masters or the Open but not a single one has ever dreamed of winning a LIV tourney, and they never will. It's a joke.
Buh bye....... we don't need ya LMAO
He will be playing the Masters for life, US Open for 10 years, PGA and Open for 5 years. Besides, PGAT and LIV will be merging anyways.
@@kennethgee1155 🙌🤛👏👍
Well, Rahm has the opportunity to do both. There is no way that the PGA Tour will have much of a future, keeping the LIV guys out. The Saudis will just keep poaching top players until the tour dies. I’ve been a golf fan for 40 years, and I don’t like watching LIV, but I also don’t watch anything but the majors anymore, because I just don’t like the product much anymore. But, it’s ridiculous to think that guys should stay with the PGA for less money, and more work.
And how many LIV players, were on winning side of Ryder Cup ,from LIV tour?none.
Blame Moynihan for this
Jon hypocrite rahm
Look at him - how pathetic can a person be. Sad listening to his remarks. Thought he had character but no. Goodbye and good luck to you Jon. Jon who?!?
Your exemplary negativity and prejudice are what's wrecking the PGA Tour and its goons, but you're too blind to see that, and the rest of us LOVE that LMAO
@@TheOtherKinehe’s an idiot pga tour puppet that’s why
@@TheOtherKine My guess is that you suffer from the same condition as Rahmpoo - Irritable bowel syndrome, a lack of coincidence and amnesia. Jon Rahm used to say this -"It's not all about money you know. I like that the PGA is a meritocracy with a rich history and legacy. You want to have a career that you can be proud of." Look at him now - his parents must be so proud!!!
@@TheOtherKine This has become a sideshow with the worst type of actors. Now fans’ attention will be divided between an entity that doesn’t know what it’s doing and doesn’t offer much in the way of competition yet does boast some marquee names against the traditional power with true competition and true consequences that could lose the very stars needed to pull people in.
@@Bobby-rq5eg I'm not a HATER like you, no. LMAO
PGA will look after themselves and shaft people to suit. Rambo is a class act and obviously has common sense. Good on you bro……💥🏌🏻
Sell out. His family was already set up more than enough lol it wasn’t for that. Just another money grab. Thought he was better than that. Sounds like the rest of the dogs listening to orders on what to say.
Team Rollback 🤣🤣🤣
