Great little pack. The only thing I would add is some 8" white zip ties. Those things are easy to see in the bush and have about 5,000 uses.

Nice system. Keeping that CCW close with a full range of survival items right on your body is great. Very versatile.

Wendal great pack well thought out. Not sure if you noticed your Bic lighter is in the holder backwards. Rotate it so the fuel tab is on the other side. Then after you light it you can slide the orange slit over the fuel tab and keep the flame going.

Nice gear. Would replace the wire saw with a lightweight Opinel woodsaw. Those things hardly weigh anything and are a bit more useful

Great overview of a well thought out kit. I like what you said about not being a stand alone kit/bag… but an addition to your pack or the other pack/bag your hiking or traveling with. 👍

Hill People Gear designed and the Kit Bag over 10 years ago. I will only support originators when possible, and in this case I own three Hill People Kit Bags. They're also made in the USA.

Just ordered a custom bag of my design from Bastion, Borris made it in one day of payment and shipped it after sending pics to be sure it’s what I wanted. Charged $25 over normal price and has excellent CS. Tried to buy a HPG before finding Bastion via @prepared wanderer and they are still on backorder for month now for a standard CP from HPG. So there is that… thanks again PW for the heads up on Bastion.

This is a very great kit. I love the simplicity. Luke with TheOutdoorGearReview is a big fan of the Helikon-Tex Numbat. The only other items I might add is some sort of back-up water filter straw (HydroBlue Sidekick) & boo-boo kit with bleed stop (ITS, LTC, Refuge, or a D.I.Y.) in the case where you don't have your main pack.

Love the Live Fire! clever idea. Also, I have terrible luck with lighters - they never work for me. Maybe I need to get a protector.

Great video! I may have missed it and do not see the size of the pack on ETSY? Looking both for the size of the pack and will it fit a large 2X+ guy, even with a jacket?
    Thanks

Nice bag! I read before you commented that you were selling your chest rig because you realized they weren’t for you.. I guess you went back to them?
I also saw your vid you made on the Helikon Tex Numbat. Seems you really liked it. In this vid you mentioned the Bastion is on par with Hill People Gear’s chest rigs, but just curious… how does the Helikon Tex Numbat stack up?
