Thank you ! These videos help out alot. If you search 660 you can find every bit of info you need . But info on a 661 seems more limited. Keep up the good work :)
Thank you for the thorough video. My saw was running fine. Stopped on me right in the middle of a cut and i couldn't get it restarted. I bought a kit which came with the coil, solenoid, and micron filter. Still will not start , going crazy, i have the ms 661c
Did you get it fixed.have simaler issue?????? Plus my coil is 2 prong 3702 they don't have any I just spent 130 dollars on new coil it only has 1 prong ? They said no return on electronics
Good video Sir! It's good to know there's an alternate route to take if your dealer isn't the best. The guys at my dealer are good guys, but they sure have a hell of a time getting anything I ask them about. Have a great weekend!
great video i have a 661 and it has a carb on it like yours does and i put a new coil on and new spark plug and still no spark is it because of that solenoid is bad would that cause it to not spark anyone out there let me know thank you have a great day and God Bless
Great videos for the 661 bud! Do you think this would work for my 661, it starts fine when it's cold within a few pulls, but once it's hot it won't start unless I hold the throttle wide open then pull the starter cord. Thanks
thank you sir. yeah sounds like solenoid. check my new video on the coil. there is a kit you can get with solenoid coil and new fuel filter for pretty reasonable money or covered.
@@Redbull661 Hey, just to let you know it was actually the pre filter that wraps around the outside of the HD2 filter that was restricting the air and stopping if from starting! 🙄 So I watched your videos and brought the maxflow air filter and the coil kit upgrade and now it runs great! Couldn't of done it without your videos so 🍻 bud.
Hi mate, Have you got any idea why the full throttle rpm is variable on a my 2016 MS661, starts fine, air filter clean, new fuel, have calibrated after watching your videos also. Just doesn't run smooth at full throttle, seems to die a bit and pick up consistently. Thanks
Thanks for the video, , ,, Really, spend the $8,000 for the Stihl tool, or save a thousand and buy the Snap-On for 7 K. I've been thinkin on opening up the M-tronic carb, and opening up the fuel supply holes, so that the carb thinks it feeding the 'proper' amount, when in reality, extra fuel is being pumped to the engine, I think it would greatly reduce the high temper/lean issues that go along with the M-Tronic set up.

STIHL 💪💪💪
Great video. I'd like to see what it takes to get that intake boot out. Once the carb is out. It shouldn't be too hard from there.

Can you do a video of a timing advance on a stihl with the key built into the flywheel
Nice.. good job thank you for the knowledge
Would this apply to 362c as well?
the white solenoid is the new solenoid across the board for all the mtronics as far as I know. Unsure of the 201 though. Never had one of those apart.

Is there any reason to swap them if saw is running fine?
no. would change to the new orange fuel filter. Smaller micron. Cheap insurance.
