  • In this video, I explain the planning and cutting of the bed, and the trimming and welding of the buckets to fit in the bed. This is a re-edit. I still have no idea what I am doing...

did you think about primer paint and clear buildup once finished didn't see you gap the bucket for that... any time I installed them used a paint stick as a shim so lights would fit after painting...

@@GetDirty2407 brother ive been building mini truck low riders, and hot rods since i was in high school in the early 90s 1 thing i can honestly say the only opinion that matters when it comes to your ride is yours. Screw what anybody else thinks its not there ride. People always gonna have something to say about it and how they would have done it differently. Your response to that needs to be cool then go do it to yours. I always have respect for anyone willing to build their car themselves. In 94 I started in the my old mans garage that was 20 x 20 working off jack stands. I feel in love with cars now in my back yard i have a 5000sqft shop with a 6000 and 9000 lb lift a metal working area and anything I could need still doing what i enjoy and how i want it done. Just keep building brother

That will look great when its done. Great idea!

Very good. Those runs & sags on the bed rail would be a good candidate for scraping w/ razor blade, followed by primer, guide coat &block sanding. I liked how you used primer to outline the profile of the bucket. Seemed to work well

I found everything on ebay. Look up "cadillac taillight buckets" and "s10 taillights filler" either on ebay or a search engine (google).
I was fortunate enough to also get the taillights, trim, and wiring harness from ebay as well. But that is something you could get from a scrapyard.
Make sure you order the same year range, as there's 89-93, and 94-99.
      I chose the 94-99.
