Great job! I'm lucky enough to see it in person and watch it change throughout the season. Can't wait to see it next spring as it gets bigger and better!
I absolutely LOVE your rock garden, Iza! All the different colors, kinds, shapes & sizes of sedums and semps are gorgeous! I've had 'Autumn Joy' for over 25 years! It comes up in different places now; but, it surprises me every year. That's fun! I had planned to try to get all of my different kinds of sempervivums set out before now. Boohoo! My disabilities wouldn't allow me to do that this fall. I love your rocks facing in the same direction. I hadn't heard about that. The barberry and euonymous shrubs fit into the area so nicely! The variegation on the latter two is a very nice touch. It looks just great, Iza! This is the first time I've seen your exterior plants. I must check out the one of you building your rockery! What a great job! 💜
I would love to see how this has overwintered. I would like to plan a cold hardy succulent garden with sedums. You have given me inspiration. Thanks so much.
@@izabelaszydlowska3940 I will look forward to that. I am in central Saskatchewan, Canada so anything I plant has to be really hardy. We had some snowflakes today but they did not stay.
@@brendarutz6667 I'm in Connecticut US Zone 6. Sempervivums and most sedums are very hardy in terms of temperature. However, I have noticed that they are more likely to die from excessive moisture than cold. What helps is amending your native soil with cactus/succulent and pearlite mix. In my little raised rock bed, I don't have any native soil and that's where the plants do the best when it rains. Also, eastern sun exposure for your rock garden would be ideal. Anyway, I will make an update video and try to mention these things :)
CrazyCactusCollector - thank you so much!! I have been in arrears on my videos... Yes, the opuntia is the crown jewel of that garden, even if it's not the first thing you see!

Looks amazing Iza. I love all the colors and shapes grown in. Thanks for sharing 😊👍.
Thank you so much Ruthie!!

Margie thank you so much! I think this little garden on the side of the house is my favorite part of my overall garden.
You'll need to add a couple of little garden stools or a bench from which to admire your handiwork! So, so pretty. 💜
