LOL, you are so sweet! Please do not ever feel sorry. I know life happens. Oh my goodness your words are so kind!! Thank you so much dear friend :D I absolutely love what your doing with this journal! Ive never thought about the cardstock inside the envelopes, what a great idea! I agree, you should always do what you want when it comes to crafting. :D Thank you so much for sharing such a great idea with us. HUGS!!
From what I understand the birds live on the ground for a couple of days until they learn to fly. I was watching Bondi Vet to learn that. I think you did the right thing. :) The multi flips are much fun! Thank you for sharing. Hugs! 😘💜💜🤗
Hi Gayle: This idea is so much fun because every one you make will be very unique. Junk mail envelopes come in all shapes, sizes, paper quality, textures, etc. Glad you're feeling better. Donna From The Jersey Shore
Gayle, I admit it, you boggled my brain this time with all the envelopes. You are a genius! I don't know how you figured it out. It looks beautiful so far, can't wait to see the rest!
I love it Gayle! I felt exactly the same way when I saw it on Dawn's channel. (TheBookVandalShop) I just had to make it. Was so excited to see Robin make it, as well. I love that we all make the "same" project, but they are all so different and wonderful. Thanks for sharing! Kristi
Gayle I really love the natural way that you work, It is a little bit like me, as i get very excited too, please don't change your style it is so inspiring. So glad that i have found you to watch. Take care Sara G Western Australia x
It is so good to hear the excitement in your voice! Wasn't sure what the heck you were doing in the beginning but I'm hooked! Can't wait to see part 2. Hugs..
WOW Gayle I fell asleep watching Robin do this!! this morning I finished it and right after I commented I noticed you had to come in and they're too. I've watched your video twice today! I even shared it twice. LOL 😅😂🤣 I always knew all of craft ideas you had are the best! This morning we both got up wanting to do this. I forced myself to finish the lil projects on my desk. This will be one of our future challenges, thanks again my sweet friend! 💕😘💞
I love this multi-flip envelope folder. I just tossed some junk mail. But I don’t think I emptied that trash yet. LOL. I love hearing your stories. The mom bird may just find the baby and feed it wherever it is. I am sure this happens a lot to bird families. Oh, I love my Kraft-tex. I need to make something else too.
Oh Gayle I love these! I am starting an new journal and I think this is how I am going to do the cover. Thank you for the inspiration I needed it. Hugs, Amy
Gayle could you imagine doing this idea with blue fern papers! 😍. Make som elf the envelopes & the envelopes mix them with some colored/kraft ones. Oh how you inspire us! Off to gather my supplies. Thank you for another great video.
Oh this IS fun! It's a 3 alarm hair on fire!! What a fun idea for something different and a great way to use envelopes. I so get your baby bird story, we had one a couple summers ago in our backyard, he must have fallen from a nest-couldn't fly, hopped around the yard all day. Then I noticed it looked like he couldn't close his beak/mouth. Sure enough, we looked with binoculars and he had something stuck between his beak! Hubby put on gloves and we were able to catch him, Tom gently held him while I used a small stick and got whatever it was out of his beak. Set him down near a saucer of water and he drank his little heart out! He stayed a few days and took shelter under a bush. It felt good to be able to help him, poor little guy. big hugs :-)
This really looks like a fun project! The crafters out there (including you!) that think of these kinds of projects are brilliant. I'm so thankful you all share your ideas with us!
Good morning Gayle. I happened onto Robin's flappity/flaps journal while in GA last week. I thought it was really cool idea too. I am excited to see you doing it and how you add your magic touch. I got so tickled when you were trying to get your folder creased just to find it had a wad of paper in it. That is the kind of stuff I do all the time. It is always good when our RUclips super stars goof up, it gives the rest of us a little hope. lol I just loved those cards and tags from Natashia. I am excited to see the finished product. On to part II. Hugs Gayle!
Just loved watching this Journal being made, love all the flaps and pockets also. It's going to be a fab piece once it's finished hope we get to see you complete it all Gayle thank you for sharing this fab idea.
Hi Gayle, I have just sat with you for the past few hours and made my own version of this right along with you. Time to get up and move off to bed now while I let all my glue dry. I love this flipping envelope thing too. From Sharon(grannyscrap) x
I felt the same way after watching Robin's video. She can just bring it all together so easily (just like you). Anyway I watched her video and the two others she referenced where she got the idea. The other two ladies made theirs a bit different, and they were very nice, but I have to say Robin's techniques are the way that I wish to make mine.
I really admire this file folder flip pocket piece. I keep telling myself I need to make some of them. The papers you've chosen are just beautiful and are a true inspiration... I think I will just have to start one today. I have so many 12x12 papers pads, I think I could use one of them instead of hoarding them. Thank you Gayle for fanning the creative embers. Blessings, Angela
Love this idea! Now I'm excited to try it too, love learning new paper making things! Sorry about the baby bird, my husband found a little one in the grass of the back yard this weekend. He'd mowed, but it's wet so he left it 'tall', good thing or baby wouldn't have been able to hide. Momma was on a branch over 10 ft up, lowest one on tree, yabbering away it.
I love this project… you knew I would! I cannot wait to start mine and do it with you today… hopefully. This is so fun! Thanks for sharing it with us! 🤗🌸🤗
I wanted you to know that it is so wonderful to hear the excitement and laughter back in your voice again and it is so contiguous, I love it. I have a major test today and very nervous! I will be listening to you again while while they do their magic!
This looks like great fun Gayle. I've been really enjoying making "architectural" paper projects recently, like Envelope Folders and Pocket Folders made with larger book pages and lots of interlocking envelopes...lots of flip flap as you say. We get to use up book pages and make a bit of space (no doubt for more stuff) 😁😁 Thanks for sharing your lovely project....I think I'll have a go at this one too. Hugs, stay well, joie 💜🌿
Oh, Joie, you’ll have so much fun with this! I could barely wait to get to my craft room each day to work on it! So much fun! Hugs to you, dear one! ❤️
What a fun project. I have the grandkids today and you are making an envelope flip and they are playing UNO Flip. My eyes were seeing a lot of flippin' going on! lol This is one video I would have to definitely watch while trying to make the project. Have a great day Gayle!
Well I am sorting my junk mail envelopes now and had a thought which you probably know. The marks on the sides of a circle punch are to show you where the center of the circle is. You can use this to decide where to punch when you can’t turn it upside down. You are doing such a beautiful job. Love to watch you collage.
In addition to watching crafting, I am also interested in true crime. Strange combo I know but why I mention it is that I watch a RUclips channel by Gray Hughes and he is a little insensitive but I just love the way he handles criticism. He reminds the viewers it is HIS channel and he will do his show the way he wants. He encourages people to move on as there might be channels they like more. So if people complain to you, suggest maybe they start their own channel and do things exactly the way they want. You obviously are doing something right with so manny followers and the most embracing RUclips family I have found. Be you my friend, just the way you are! And this cover is simply so-cute. Wouldn’t it be so cute to alter it a bit and have it be the center of a signature? Hugs to you and your subbies. Veronica💕
Loved this watched her do it also can't wait to try it. Right now I'm cleaning my craft room . New windows coming so have to move stuff from windows. What a chore
Even though I was totally confused in the beginning , I absolutely love this. What a fantastic idea ! Thank you Gayle , I always enjoy your inspirations! Hello from Greece!🙋😊
Thanks so much for the mention Gayle. I was inspired by 2 other Yt gals which I mention in my video. I'm glad it set your hair on fire! I do watch your channel and was inspired with your faux front envelopes a while back! xoox
Thanks so much, Robin! I haven’t been so excited to try something in a long time! I know I didn’t quite follow directions totally, but sure had fun with it! And I love how it turned out! Thanks for the inspiration, dear Robin! Oh, and btw, I did put the other gals links in the description box too! I always try hard to give credit where it’s due!! Hugs to you! ❤️
This is a hug project but it looks like fun I think once you get past the gluing of the flip flop envelopes its down hill from there. I hope your little birdie pulls through I have been in that situation and it rattles your nerves. Thanks for sharing I will be looking forward to you finishing it.
Whoooa Nellie! Putting everything else aside and starting on this super fun project! Can’t wait to see your finished product! Hugs and blessings, 🤗❤️🇨🇦
Hi Gayle, I've watch several videos on this project and the person who started this is, TheBookVandal. I too got so excited that I said I must do one too or two or three!! Lol!! I think this is such an awesome idea! I'm so glad to watch your take oo this envelope floppy file. I hope to do one soon. Unfortunately I haven't been feeling good from my kidneys but as soon as I feel better I will. It's always so much fun to hear your enthusiasm. Lol!!! GOD Bless and be safe
The 'stack of letters' IS fun! When I did one I glued the flaps on the top cover so that I didn't have anything go on the back/inside of the journal. It was so neat to do that I'm going to do many more.
I started mine yesterday but I even made it harder putting 6 envelopes on each side and my base is 2 string closure envelopes that I put together with a 1 inch spine. Now I have a lot of decorating to do and inking and adding lace. So So fun.
I saw Robin’s video and just loved the whole idea too! I think she only used two envelopes a side (I may be remembering wrong) but I like your use of three because I do love the flips and flops. That tag on the front is gorgeous! I went to NaTasha’s shop and came away poorer 😝😂 she has many beautiful items right now. Enjoy that project and we’ll look forward to the next part.
It's natural for most baby birds (fledglings) to be out of their nests and on the ground for a few days. With all the dangers lurking, I have no idea how the species have survived. It's best to leave them, but if you must, place it in a safe spot nearby as the parents still need to feed it. I'm sure the parents of your fledging will hear his call and continue to care for him. Thanks for sharing today's fun project. I've wanted to make one and you've inspired me to give it a try. And I'm sure you already know this, but if you turn the punch upside down when you need to enlarge your half-circle (if it fits), you can see where you've already punched.
Hi Gayle! I love what you did, and love that you don’t do it exactly like the person you were inspired by, isn’t that what it’s all about? 🤪😂I’m sure you did the right thing with the bird, once we had 5 baby sparrows on the ground, Clint got them back up to their nests and we found out Momma was kicking them out. We couldn’t really do anything about them, we have cats everywhere outside, so all we could do, is just not think about it. I don’t think wildlife officers would do anything special with them, unless it was an eagle or something dangerous, you know? We got a new kitten a few weeks ago, about a week after Jazzy Lynn passed, our boy kitten was so heart broken when she passed, so yes, we got a kitten for our cat 😂😂🤪. She’s adorable and he’s so happy, she has been a balm for our hearts. Maybe I misunderstood, people get upset about ripping paper? I love that sound, I’m a weirdo, what can I say? 😂😂🤪! I’ve been reading too much and not watching as many videos as I should, oh plus taking online watercolor and drawing classes, so I guess I really have been busy 😂😂😜, along with daily videos, no wonder I’m not watching as many videos as I had been! Bwahahahaha. Can’t wait to see part two! Big big hugs~Chelle
Hugs Chelle! Your watercolor eye was amazing!!! You’re a great student!! Excited about your new family member! They do fill up your heart, don’t they? Give Clint an affectionate punch in the arm for me! 😉😘❤️
Hello. I watched robins video also. I made one last night. Love what you did putting inserts in first. Love watching you. Have fun!!!
Gayle - your giddy excitement and enthusiasm is infectious and COMPLETELY ADORABLE! Thanks so much for sharing. Can't wait to try making this!
It's 2023 and I am just viewing this great video! I will be trying my hand at these flippy/ floppy envelopes tomorrow! Thanks for sharing❤❤❤
Oh ya. Love Robins work and have watched her make a couple of these. Just love them. Have fun creating

Hi Gayle, Thanks for sharing this flippy flappy cover, it's really cool. Loved it. Nature is tough, you did all that you could for the birdy. xx
Oh cool another flippy piece to make. I have enjoyed making pieces that have lots of flips. So thanks for another to try. I can’t wait. 😊
Yes!! Exciting indeed. Perfect idea for a BD Card I want to make for my daughter.
Awesome beyond words, Gayle! This is more like a puzzle to construct! 👍👍👍👌
Both you and Robin are very talented people!
Hi Gayle: This idea is so much fun because every one you make will be very unique. Junk mail envelopes come in all shapes, sizes, paper quality, textures, etc. Glad you're feeling better. Donna From The Jersey Shore
Yes! Lovely cover and what a great idea with all the flippy envelopes on the cover. Loving it! 🙌💕🌈
Gorgeous project Gayle! 🌺🦋 I absolutely adore the page with the lace print 😍🌺
So exciting and beyond beautiful. Can't wait for next session.

Loving this! Such pretty mix of sizes, colours and textures!
Such a fun and amazing project. Can’t wait to see the results. Thank you for sharing 🤗
Gayle, if crafting was a sport you’d be a black belt ninja crafter.
...or a gold medalist in the Olympics❤❤❤

Such a great journal! I have been saving junk mail envelopes for awhile and now I have a guide on how to use them!
Loved this idea too..looks like so much fun! Love how yours is turning out. Xx
Hope you feel better soon! ❤️
This does look like fun, on my to do list, I’ve been keeping junk mail envelopes. Love all the layering of envelopes. On to video #2 on this. 👍🌻🌻🌻
The 'stack of letters' IS fun! When I did one I glued the flaps on the top cover so that I didn't have anything go on the back/inside of the journal. It was so neat to do that I'm going to do many more.
This idea is.much fun but your funnier listening, the note in the envelope n the rest, sooo.funnu gayle Alanna xx
Loving this, can't wait for next one
This is great! I’m gonna have to try this! Thanks for sharing!
I started mine yesterday but I even made it harder putting 6 envelopes on each side and my base is 2 string closure envelopes that I put together with a 1 inch spine. Now I have a lot of decorating to do and inking and adding lace. So So fun.
Loving this creation
This looks like so much fun! Def going on my journaling to-do list!
This is so much fun, I love it. Looking forward to seeing part two
Dang, I should not add another project to my To Do list, but I will. Lol !! TFS
Love love it Gayle 🙏🏻🤗❣️

Great idea - lacy file folder made the perfect base - tune in tomorrow - Hugs.
Love it. Can’t wait to see the rest decorated.
What a lovely project - I can't wait to try this on myself
