I came back here to tell you brother that I watched your video took notes and implemented your instructions to the letter. Before I had a lot of apprehension of the process. But after following your instructions my application was approved in less than 24 hours. I was shocked… I expected at a minimum 48 hrs. This creates a discrepancy between the Business formation documents and the Bank Statement. How important is the matching of the address in the Bank Statement and the address in the certificate of incorporation for Amazon when registering an LLC entity account? Am I correct in understanding that non-US residents have now lost the option to use Mercury bank for conducting business on Amazon?

For the address of the LLC I only have the bank statement and no utility bill. Ive contacted support and they told me to change my place of business to Argentina. Hey Dan, amazing video, and I joined your group! I believe this is correct, and open to your input on starting the account one way, but changing the legal entity later. When you set up your new Amazon account, from your steps it looks like you can use a single-member LLC disregarded for your business name. On the tax interview, it would be in an individual name (not a business). But if I started the account in my own personal name or a DBA, and wanted to change to the same single-member LLC disregarded later, that appears to be an issue. This comes up when I click on legal entity it goes right to the tax interview. Again, later on, if I wanted to make a change from my personal name to an LLC name, It appears on the tax interview, I could NOT use a single-member LLC disregarded because when I answer the first question, I would answer an individual (not a business). Does this sound correct, or am I missing something? I know if I set up the LLC would need to be taxed as an S corp or C corp to answer the question that it is a business, leading to the W-9. That would change the legal entity. Separately, it appears you can change the store name to your LLC, which is not always a good idea I know vs. your brand name of your product if private label). This comes up a lot when non-resident sellers want to change from a foreign entity to a U.S. entity on Amazon. Thanks for your input!!
Hi Dan, based on the initial explanation, does this mean that even if I live in a country outside the U.S., as long as I've established a U.S. company through some company registration agency, then I can use that U.S. company as my Business Information, while still using my actual residential address (non-U.S. region) as my Primary Contact Information? There's no requirement for these two to be consistent, meaning I could pass my residential address verification through a utility bill from a non-U.S. region, rather than using my U.S. company address, correct?

Hey Van, you would reference the countries shown in the vid for North America, where SA is shown, that would indicate you could technically sign up as an individual or with a company based locally or abroad (I also know a seller who successfully signed up with a PTY LTD) HOWEVER my recommendation would be to do so with a company such as a US LLC in this case, especially from SA to avoid any hurdles and for other advantages. For example, SA has very limited support in terms of currency accounts such as OFX, WorldFirst etc. I recommend you watch the linked Setup Video for more on this.

I think that I will go the LLC route (was on the fence for months) my concern was your comment on registering as an individual is not recommended if not living in the country you wish to do business in. But as you said, to be on the safe side, I’ll go the LLC route 👍🏻

Hey Jay, yes I believe this is possible although I haven't done it that way. However the reverse is not true, I don't think you can sell on "Individual" plan with a company

Does the name listed on our GS1 barcode info have to match down to the comma? We left off the comma after the company name and LLC part when listing on the GS1. Thanks

Hey Dan, amazing video, and I joined your group! I believe this is correct, and open to your input on starting the account one way, but changing the legal entity later.
When you set up your new Amazon account, from your steps it looks like you can use a single-member LLC disregarded for your business name. On the tax interview, it would be in an individual name (not a business). But if I started the account in my own personal name or a DBA, and wanted to change to the same single-member LLC disregarded later, that appears to be an issue.
This comes up when I click on legal entity it goes right to the tax interview.
Again, later on, if I wanted to make a change from my personal name to an LLC name, It appears on the tax interview, I could NOT use a single-member LLC disregarded because when I answer the first question, I would answer an individual (not a business). Does this sound correct, or am I missing something?
I know if I set up the LLC would need to be taxed as an S corp or C corp to answer the question that it is a business, leading to the W-9. That would change the legal entity.
Separately, it appears you can change the store name to your LLC, which is not always a good idea I know vs. your brand name of your product if private label).
This comes up a lot when non-resident sellers want to change from a foreign entity to a U.S. entity on Amazon. Thanks for your input!!
Hi Dan, based on the initial explanation, does this mean that even if I live in a country outside the U.S., as long as I've established a U.S. company through some company registration agency, then I can use that U.S. company as my Business Information, while still using my actual residential address (non-U.S. region) as my Primary Contact Information? There's no requirement for these two to be consistent, meaning I could pass my residential address verification through a utility bill from a non-U.S. region, rather than using my U.S. company address, correct?
Do they ask you for a credit card in the individual plan setup? Im trying to setup the individual plan but I got to a screen after I added my bank and it says add credit card for monthly subscription Fees and a 1 dollar card verification. Does this sound like I am signing up for the professional or individual plan Dan let me know thanks.

Can I use local banks debit cards instead of credit cards? I mean i am located in China and they won’t gives me their credit cards but I can get their debit cards, so can I use a debit card for an individual account? Please share if someone knows this

Do I need an LLC to register? and if I’m understanding you correctly, are you saying that if I’m not living in the US then LLC is my only option and that registering as an individual is not an option?
Hey Van, you would reference the countries shown in the vid for North America, where SA is shown, that would indicate you could technically sign up as an individual or with a company based locally or abroad (I also know a seller who successfully signed up with a PTY LTD) HOWEVER my recommendation would be to do so with a company such as a US LLC in this case, especially from SA to avoid any hurdles and for other advantages. For example, SA has very limited support in terms of currency accounts such as OFX, WorldFirst etc. I recommend you watch the linked Setup Video for more on this.

I think that I will go the LLC route (was on the fence for months) my concern was your comment on registering as an individual is not recommended if not living in the country you wish to do business in. But as you said, to be on the safe side, I’ll go the LLC route 👍🏻

Hey Jay, yes I believe this is possible although I haven't done it that way. However the reverse is not true, I don't think you can sell on "Individual" plan with a company
