Thank you so much for this video - it is brilliant. I had worked out how to get halfway there but was struggling to understand how to get the underlay under two designs ie image and text! Perfect!

Thank you SO MUCH for doing this video - I create quilting for my blocks and have been hand creating a background of my design and by watching your video, I see all I have to do is to select my design elements and create a patch with a fill - and create a background for my design and do them set sew hole
    - this will Save me SOOOO much time -

Hi Terry this is an update on the issues I was having. After much thought & consideration I have found a work around for setting the embroidered patch around my template design. I found the tool seemed to have an issue with the text on a curve but not with the single letter in the design, so I highlighted the design & letter set the Embroidered patch & then went into node editing to fit the patch around my text on the curve & it worked. Yeah I'm very happy, now I can take my design to the machine & hopefully the design will look good on the handtowel. Funny tho, I tried the patch tool on another template & didn't have any problems with it but then again that design was more of a closed design I think I'll play a bit more., but first to embroidery machine. Thank You for your great Videos & for taking the time to reply. cheers Sharon

Sharon Carter I am glad you figured out a solution. You might want to try a test stitchout. I test things on old towels or t shirts.

Thank you, thank you!! I wondered if we could do Knock Down stitches in PE 11. I have a child's bath towel that they want the name on hood, this will be helpful!

Thank you so much!! I just spent the last 2 nights trying to figure out how to do the knockdown stitch on the PE 11! I could hug you if it weren’t for this stinking COVID pandemic😜

First I would like to thank you for the great video, I've been trying to create the embroidered patch around one of the template designs but can't get it to work, as the button is greyed out. I can create my own net fill using the shape tool but I would prefer to create the patch around the shape of the template. Hope this makes sense.

Sharon Carter. If I understand you correctly, you have a design that you want to create as a patch. If your template (design) is greyed out, it is most likely that you have not selected it. Look at about 1.50 in my video. The selection handles have to be around a design before you can do anything to it. You can change the offset either outward or inward. At 0, the fill should be the same size of your design. To move inward, try a negative number. Most patches (like on a hat or a a name on a shirt) have a satin stitch outline. You may want to add this as well. If you are a member of the PE Design 11 group on Facebook, post a picture if you still aren’t getting the results you need. I am out of town and my computer is at home, so I may need to look at the manual to answer a question, thanks for your positive feedback.

Hi Terry Thank You for your reply. The design I'm using is from Shirts_Chest, Design no CH118. I changed the text to suit my requirements, then select all, but the Embroidered patch is still greyed out. I can get it to work if I don't include the text but that's not what I want. I've even tried the design with no changes but can't get it to work. It's got something to do with the text but I can't figure it out. I did try converting the txt to outline but it won't convert it all???? I have joined the FB group just waiting approval. Enjoy your time away from home.

Hi Terry, I'm having an issue with imported letters. It won't allow me to add the Netfill. It doesn't create the black boxes that you talk about at 2:40 to give me the option to add it.
If anyone knows why, can you please let me know what I've missed? Please amd thank you. Btw I'm very knew to PE11

I own the ninth version. How can I increase the density of stitches of ready-made roses in the program

      - - I don’t own PE Design 9. Perhaps you could tell me the design name or number so I can see if it is in my software. If the knockdown stitch is the same color as your garment or towel, that will help hide the stitches. Secondly, if you enlarge a design, hold down the control key to maintain the density of the design. I generally do not enlarge or decrease my than 10 -20% to maintain the type of stitches the digitizer plan. Lastly, you must convert the design to blocks to be able to change the sewing attributes of the built in designs. This would probably be my last step and I would definitely test the stitchout. When you convert to blocks, you can add undersewing and increase the density. Be judicious about how much you increase density because you don’t want a bullet proof design.
