The P 10 will be closure to factory size but the P12 is a nice upgrade. While the strap-on is simple, the permanent mount accessory completely replaced the stock mirror and is much cleaner and removes the bulk. The other accessory is the hardwire kit which allows parking monitor and works great. Make sure you get the wire model (red and yellow wire) so it shuts the screen down when you turn off the key but still records in the background. Finally, out of the box ADAS, BSD, LCA safety features defaults are way off so make sure you spend the time to properly calibrate. Tweaking the line setup and settings will be trial and error to dial in the perfect results. The screen is mirrored so you will get some glare. I aligned the screen below the rear mirror to resolve this so I setup the camera to display rear view all the time. This is a lot of camera for the money.
The 10 inch mirror is good and I and I ran the back up camera wire the same way you did except I ran it under the rear door gasket into The tire jack storage compartment Storage compartment and out the drain hole and under the spare tire on the rear bumper
Thanks for the video! I bought mine during Prime Day along with hard wiring so that it records even while my Jeep is off. I’m ready to install, but my biggest concern is where to put the rear camera so that I can take my top off with no issues. Any suggestions?
@@4coolking My concern was that with the smaller 10" mirror - the camera may not see around that unit for the adaptive cruise. I did confirm with Pelsee that the camera is adjustable on that unit, to slide out. So you should be okay.
Yes, but that cord for the camera would never be long enough! If you follow our sister channel (Midwest Adventure Life) , I'll be doing a review on something that would be a much better choice. ruclips.net/channel/UCggV8PejsaQ3qYIBl0F2JSQ

Great feedback! I bet 10" os the way to go.

Is that a 12” or 10” unit. For my JL thinking to get 10” unit to avoid sun visor problem. 1:52
Not sure if 10” unit will be too small to fit.
This was the 12" one. The 10" one would likely be better. I have one concern. Do you have the adaptive cruise control?
@@JeepsOnTheRun yes I do. What concern do you have?

Can it be used in a 30 class C RV?
Yes, but that cord for the camera would never be long enough!

Not an install video. Useless.
