- Hey Guys,
I went back to Natchitoches to visit my godmom. This was my Hubby's 1st time in Louisiana so I definitely wanted to show him a good time. We visited and toured the Home that was in the film Steel Magnolias, we went to The Melrose Plantation, but didn't get to fully walk the grounds unfortunately, then drove around the city and and looked at some gorgeous homes!
We also visited a Historic church that was really beautiful!
My Godmom has deep roots in the city so it was amazing to hear all of the history and to be able to share the moment with her.
She made us a great homecooked meal and got us some homemade Natchitcohes Meat pies! Whew I am still recooperating!
We had a great time, and the city is always so welcoming and has all the good vibes.
Have you ever visited? Do you have roots there?

I’m glad you liked it. You know I’m boring 🤣They started charging after the panini…She said she refused to pay for something her ancestors built which is totally understandable.
Exactly!!! Lol that's what I was thinking.. it should be free AND feed me while I'm there since my ancestors were slaves on that land!!
