Ended up getting Warhawk, Jumping Flash! 2 and MegaMan 8 as my first three games over the next two months or so. Never was one for RPGs, so I don't have the others, but I did actually pick up the original Suikoden on clearance for 1/2 off at Babbages as the only one I owned on the system. That’s so awesome, I was mainly a Nintendo fanboy growing up as well! I never really veered away from Nintendo until the PS2 came out. Then it went PS2, Xbox 360, ps4, Nintendo switch/ps5
Our first console was the Magnavox Odyssey 2. My parents got it before I was born, though the first console I remember was the NES. My older brother got an SNES and then systems like the Genesis and TG16 and then sold both to get the Turbo Duo. I ended up sticking with older systems and eventually got a Master System (Model 2) and Turbo Grafx-16 when they were being clearanced out in the mid 90s. Got a PS1 in 1997 and then the Model 3 Genesis for $22 in 1998 when Caldors (regional store chain) was closing down in the local mall. After that, I kind of fell out with "modern" gaming and didn't buy another system until 2003, when I got digital cable and discovered X-Play on TechTV and G4. Within 6 months, I bought a GBA SP, Gamecube and a PS2... and haven't stopped since! BTW... I found this video (and channel) from a Facebook post about this PS1 video. Megaman legends was always my faveourite game and I sold it when young, I found out how much its worth and felt the need to buy it again along with the second
The first game isn't terribly expensive. You can get a copy for around $70 or so, give or take depending on if you get the black label or green label. The second game is kind of pricey but not absolutely outrageous. You can get a complete copy for around $130 give or take. As far as Tron Bonne goes...yeah... do you have any family members whom you could sell off as a slave?
so I have been wanting The Misadventures Of Tron Bonne for almost 15 years. I kept being petty and didn't want to pay for the complete edition with the demo disc but then I kept seeing it go up in price, year after year... finally, years back...I broke down and told myself that if I don't get it now, I never will... $450 dollars, my most expensive game I own. I have seen it sell complete for close to a $1000 now..
Bought The Misadventures of Tron Bonne back in 2000, brand new in the store for $40. As a young kid, I didn’t have any clue what it was about, I bought it because I thought the cover looked cool. I didn’t enjoy the game and I misplaced it, no clue what happened to it. I recently found the mega man 2 legends demo disk that came with it at my parents, so maybe the game is still around too.
It’s funny how when we were younger and didn’t have computers in our pockets the cover art was the main way we would choose what games we would rent or buy!
