Hey, have a proc build request-
could you see if a procazon based on fire spells would work - i was thinking using 2 trang-oul(belt and helm) items for the +18 to fireball for synergies. and then dragon armor for the hydra proc, phoenix bow for -fire res and firestorm proc, hellmouths fore firestorm and meteor proc.
I’m using faith right now, but I recently discovered how fun the strafe build is! Slaughterhouse
18:42 when you respecced her, the life orb showed 1, but the chararacter sheet showed 31,940, so there was some sort of integer overflow at play.
I just think it's funny I still was barely ever in danger though with the amount of CC she pumps out
Yeah, if you search for maximum Life Barb build on YT you can see 'someone' made a Barb with like 35k Life which doesn't show like that, you have like 32.5k 'stashed' and 'only' 2.5k are showing, but when you get to zero, your Life orb refills itself back up to max of 2^15. Or something like that. It's the hard coded visual max Blizzard thought nobody will ever try to break. :)
Awesome video! Was my good luck charm. I went into The Pits and on my first run I got an Ethereal Cryptic Sword. Will make a Bow Amazon today and take that bad boy over to Larzuk to put slots into it.
really interesting build. i can't touch the gear req's, but it is certainly something to keep in mind.
yesterday i finally got my amazon to level 65, and made the brand bow. and i didnt even have a matriarchal bow, but the slower one.
that's ALL i did from this build and the power increase over my previous bow was just incredible.....
i dont even have a delirium yet....and i rushed through act 4 in nightmare. once my other characters get to act 5 in nightmare i will continue with the amazon.
13:41 for me the only thing this nosferatu belt needs to be perfect is mana leech to be a dual leech, very good easy to find belt.
For sure i gonna try this build! Its looks fun 😀

Looking in to optimizing for higher player counts:
Does the wisp projector add more damage than sheet suggests? Or is it more for theme and aesthetic? Not sure if a BK might improve TTK.
In planner, I flipped out some of the gear for more crushing blow (goblin toe, blood gloves, guillaume) and added atmas for amp on strike. I think also using metamorphosis now might be better than hustle (albeit more expensive). Not sure where else to take it for like p5/p7.
they cast far more often than you would think, or it seems even is displayed.
With 10 shots from strafe and a ridiculous fire rate + 100% pierce you get an insane number of proc chances.
So it's not so much about the ability doing a relatively low damage amount. But more so how many times am I proccing it?
if it does 100 damage but I proc it 10 times quickly thats 1000 damage total. It travels in a line as well which means it hits more than one target so that 100 goes to 1000 casted 10 times, and then piercing 10 monsters goes to 10,000 damage.
It all adds up very fast which is the whole design of the build. Tons of small damage numbers stacking insanely through fast proccing.
Elemental Damage charms help too of course it's all a numbers game.

May I request videos about "steps to improve your character" instead of one showing just the endgame gear?
I have a Sorc I beat Hell with, level 87 now, and my Frozen Orb still only deals about 500 damages.
I'm stuck between not getting the Runes I need for major upgrades and using a Spirit Crystal Sword... I think a series showing possible items to use for upgrades would be cool, even if you show them from a website database.
I mean, I literally have a guided playthrough of a frozen orb/firewall sorc.

Did you improve your sorc? I don't know about d2r but the truth is sorc is not really meant to do the endgame since everything is so resistant to elements, unless going a very expensive build like a bear fire sorc build. She's great at farming and collecting keys for ubers but the ubers themselves are done by most people by a character like a Smiter Paladin. Which the sorc is great for finding gear for your next chars.
@@Cloud.Strife I started an offline Sorc and went Hydra-Blizzard, it's much better.

Yes I like to have at least one poison charm to add poison into the build.

personally i would skip highlords and go with Angelic ring/amu combo and use 45-120 helmet

@@GGMentor 14% life stollen per hit, 60% increased attack speed, +30 all attributes... I haven't tried Brand. Is that much better? How about Phoenix?
This entire build is about proccing effects to deal damage, so no I would never choose a bow that doesn't proc effects on a build centered around proccing effects.
Im trying to get through hell with my strafezon on ladder currently. Im currently stuck on duriel as my gear is super shit. So many physical immunes that I cant just run past in the tombs. Interesting build though
Try putting points into magic arrow.
Try Magic Arrow (skill), or Wrath (bow), or Witchwild String (bow), or Atma's Scarab (amulet)... on Act2 Merc: The Reaper's Toll (polearm), or Act5 Merc: Lawbringer (sword)

why would you multiply strafe targets by 60 when max targets is 10 ?

Tbh I am not really sure where the confusion is. But let me try to explain it.
One strafe is 10 shots, you can pierce up to 5 times, you can hit an additional 6th time.
10 arrows piercing 5 times each = 50 total hits. These arrows can hit one additional time but are destroyed on the 6th time.
So one strafe = 10 arrows that can hit a potential of 60 times max.
Vs 1 target strafe hits 10 times max
Vs 6 targets standing in a line it hits 60 times max.
This is the pierce minigame of finding the optimal shot trajectory to hit the most # of times per strafe.
Or to be really mean about it, if you go hurr durr hold down button go fire yes. You're likely to get a bare minimum of successful hits even on a large group of monsters.
If you tactically position your Amazon so that the arrows can potentially travel in a straight line through multiple monsters you can very easily multiply your damage output by 6x that of the Hurr Durr Zon.
@@GGMentor i see now, just a potential... If there are like 5-10 mobs it won't be the same... its really really edge case. My personal/subject opinion is that damage output should be calculated closer to real situations instead of super unique 1 in a lifetime. Anyway, interesting build, gratz.

Gonna be perfectly honest the 60 hits happens all the time with proper mini game play.
@@GGMentor Ah i see. You were talking about he maxium amount of hits per strafe combined. For a moment there i was like what 10k B spear damage to one enemy per strafe :D
Snowclash(belt) procs blizzard but at 5% its a rare occurence

Haven't had any issues with anything yet lol.
The Crowd Control spam makes everything doable.
I would play a bowazon since day 1 - many many years ago BUT we think buying arrows adds to the game.
There actually is a belt with a chance to cast (CtC) - Tgod's Vigor, need to do better research my friend.

That belt is CtC when struck not CtC on striking.
Which means to use it you have to get hit, and that's not conducive to this build at all.

None of the procs do much damage by themselves. It's the literal spam of them that allows any real damage output.

Why not explain the abbreviation at the beginning of the video so people don't have to search for the meaning? Also, the abbreviation for programmed random occurrence should be PRO. Not PROC. If you're using only the first letter of two of the words, you shouldn't change that on the third word.

Also as for Terminology, I didn't create the term Proc, it was determined ages ago by other diablo players. It can be found on multiple Wikipedias and used throughout the community.
Proc is also referred to as CtCoS (Chance to Cast on striking)
Or CtCoA (Chance to Cast on Attack) not to be confused with striking
Or CtCwS (Chance To Cast When Struck)
As you can see Proccing Effects or "Procs" for short is easier than CtCoS or CtCoA ect
its kind of like calling a sorceress a "sork" with the shortening "sorc" if we're talking about the word sorceress then shortening it to sorc would sound like "source" which just makes way more sense and sounds way better. sork sounds like you have down syndrome and never learned how to read.
