This is the best recipe yet! It's so tasty. My mom and I made this when we were snowed in. I'm eating the last piece today for lunch. Can't wait to make more. Thanks!
I just bought this same machine a couple of weeks ago and so far I love it. Right now I have a loaf of pumpkin bread baking in it and the house smells wonderful! I too, just started using the dough cycle instead of baking my yeast breads in the machine. The texture seems to be moister and less crumbly.
Robyn Windsor When I make a regular loaf of either whole wheat or oatmeal/white bread, I pull the dough out of the machine after the cycle is finished, I then roll the dough out on my floured counter top into a rectangle. Then I tightly roll it up into a log, pinch the edge closed, tuck under the ends and place it into a greased 9"x 5" loaf pan, cover with a moist towel and let rise for 30 minutes. I then bake it in a 375F degree oven for 40 minutes. When it's done baking, remove the loaf from the pan right away and place on a cooling rack. If you let it cool in the pan, it will "sweat", forming condensation and the sides and bottom of the loaf will become soggy. Hope this helps.
LeighsHome05 You're welcome! I use recipes from the Better Homes & Gardens Bread Machine cookbook for 1-1/2 and 2 lb loaves. It's out of print but there are many used copies for sale on amazon. I found my copy at Half Price Books for $4.00. It's very accurate and foolproof! Lots of recipes for baking in the machine and in the oven.
I tried your recipe today. It came out delicious. Only thing is the at the light color setting it is too soft for my liking. I’ll try a darker setting next time.
Oh my this Cheddar Bread looks amazing I think i need to get out my bread machine and make some new friend and subscriber here have a good day my friend
This works well. I have searched the web for recipes ruclips.net/user/postUgkxEf52Yn9PpTLKua_uvi5Ams4pIDINER52 There are a few in the pamphlet, but I am ready to explore. NOTE: Once you hit start, don’t mess with it or the dough will not rise. Learned that the hard way.
My little variant of this recipe: replaced milk with wheat beer (Hefe-Weizen), 80% wheat flour, 20% rye flour (this mix is actually "bread flour", I believe), around 3/4 cup of grated mild cheddar and 3/4 cup on Gouda cubes. Everything else is the same :) Looks good so far - it's still hot :D
i made this loaf and also added 1 fresh tomato and herbs and it lasted 1 day it was sooooo yummy deff going to make it again might even throw some garlic in just for good measure lol thanks / you didnt say how long you cooked it for but i cooked mine for 1 hour
I don’t know what I did wrong other than set the machine on a 2 pound loaf but it fell.! It was so tasty though. Thought maybe I added too MUCH cheese if that’s possible. Any ideas?
Ive never heard of that before now but thanks, ive just got ma self a bread maker too, defo need try this thank you from Scotland Fife am really cant wait to make this
I think I put too much cheese, it was very cheesy. Also as mine was cooling, one side of the top collapsed. My husband loves it. Today at lunch, he slathered a nice thick piece with mustard, put some low sodium deli ham on it, and topped with some of the extra shredded cheeded and toasted it in the oven. He asked that I make another loaf tomorrow because he's taking another chunk to work tomorrow for him and his friend Jake. Thank you!
Hmm...I don't know why it collapsed, maybe someone who sees this comment will let us know. I'm glad your husband liked it! Check out my other bread videos too! :)
hi not sure if that an issue anymore since that comment is quite old but because everybodys ingredientbrands and environment is different (dryer, more humid, cooler, more warm, etc) collapsing might be due to imbalance of ingredients. it can be caused by too much moisture for instance. its good to check how bouncy your dough is in the kneading cycle but dont try adjust too early though let it come together first and the gluten also needs a bit to activate. (also making sure to have the same meassurement systems though that shouldnt make TOO much of a difference usually.) Since you mentioned that you added maybe too much cheese you should be careful since that might influence your breadrise too.
thanks for sharing🌹 it looks pretty good.I am gonna try.😊 since I don't have bread flour at home. can I use all purposes flour instead of bread flour? thank you! have a good day!
This should’ve been obvious to me but it wasn’t lol today was the first time I thought this because of your comment and someone else’s😆 I’ve made like 8 loafs and let it in there every time like a dummy! Definitely won’t going forward!
I am anxious to try this! Would substituting Fleishmann's bread machine yeast work? It's an instant rise. And I am definitely going to add some Herbs de Provence!
I made it yesterday. I have to add two more spoons of milk as the dough was a bit dry but that is due to the flour. Every flour is different even the same brands are different from batch to batch. The bread was absolutely delicious. I didn't have parmesan, so I used pecorino with cheddar. Thank you so much for the recipe
There is a link in the description that takes you to the recipe. Cheddar Cheese Bread in the Bread Machine Recipe 1 1/4 cups warm milk 1 tablespoon butter, softened 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 1 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons sugar 3 cups bread flour 2 1/4 teaspoons (or 1 packet) yeast 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese (room temperature) 1/3 cup shredded parmesan cheese (room temperature White setting 1.5 pound loaf Light color
I want to try this but I don’t have any parmesan. Any thoughts on if it will still turn out ok? I really don’t want to go to the grocery store if I don’t have to 😷
What is the difference between letting it cook in the machine versus in the oven? Does it change the taste and/or texture? Thanks, I’m looking to buy a bread machine soon 😊
In the oven you can make different shapes of bread where as in the maker it comes out looking like a loaf . Also , the crust may get “ crunchier” but over all it taste the same :)
It's best to add the cheese or anything towards the end. Your bread machine would beep to let you know when to add things to it. Packaged cheese should be washed prior and drained, and dried with a paper towel as they add a powder to it as to why it doesnt melt at room temp and leaves a drier texture to bread. When it's about to rise in the machine drizzle a little more oil, I like to use avacado oil or grape seed oil. This is good for straight bread machine baking or taking it out to make dinner rolls.

I really prefer to bake the bread in the oven, but that doesn't always happen. :) Thanks for watching!
+LeighsHome05 How long would you bake in the oven and at what temperature? and what kind of pan?

Trying this today! I added some granulated garlic powder one tsp I hope that’s not too much and just enough. It smells great so far.
How did it turn out?
How was it then?😉

Oh it was excellent. Made it again using three different kinds of cheese and milk/yoghurt 1:1. My favorite recipe, thanks for the video!
What is your suggestion on oven temperature and bake time if you bake it in the oven?
Maybe you said and I just didn't hear but how long does it take to bake ?

Did you skin the tomato? Reduce the liquid? Your additions sound yummy!!!
Thanks!
Looks so so yummy..thanks ❤
I don’t know what I did wrong other than set the machine on a 2 pound loaf but it fell.! It was so tasty though. Thought maybe I added too MUCH cheese if that’s possible. Any ideas?

I am on a quest for the sharpest, cheesiest bread machine loaf possible. This brings me a step closer!
I have bought two now at restores, things are starting to open now!
Add jalapeños and it's perfect!
What brand and model is that bread machine? Thanks
I think it was a Sunbeam. They don't make them anymore and it broke years ago, so I'm not sure.
Mine is in my machine as I write this. I love my bread machine! Thank you for this recipe.
+Ceme612 You're welcome! I hope you liked it!

this is awesome
thanks for sharing🌹
it looks pretty good.I am gonna try.😊
since I don't have bread flour at home. can I use all purposes flour instead of bread flour?
thank you!
have a good day!
Yes, you can use all-purpose. The dough might me a little wetter.
thanks for the reply.🌹🌹🌹
I 'd definitely give it a try.
Take the pan out before adding ingredients less mess in your machine
Good advice 💯😃
This should’ve been obvious to me but it wasn’t lol today was the first time I thought this because of your comment and someone else’s😆 I’ve made like 8 loafs and let it in there every time like a dummy! Definitely won’t going forward!
looks good..will retrieve after dough cycle and oven bake..
Hope you enjoy
I am anxious to try this! Would substituting Fleishmann's bread machine yeast work? It's an instant rise. And I am definitely going to add some Herbs de Provence!
It should work fine. I'm not an expert though. :)
LeighsHome thanks!
Looks good can you taste the cheese?
A little. You might want to use larger chunks of cheese if you really want to taste it. :)
Im going to do this, but mix with some herb seasoning from subway (parmesan and oregano, bit of basil), and I will update this comment.
imma try this tyty
omgomgomg. sooo soo goood!! yes!! tyyty
It will be really useful to have the actual recipe on the descriptions. the link does not work
It works now.

Do you have the recipe by itself to follow
There is a link in the description that takes you to the recipe.
Cheddar Cheese Bread in the Bread Machine Recipe
1 1/4 cups warm milk
1 tablespoon butter, softened
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
3 cups bread flour
2 1/4 teaspoons (or 1 packet) yeast
1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese (room temperature)
1/3 cup shredded parmesan cheese (room temperature
White setting
1.5 pound loaf
Light color
So can u add the cheese and bacon before you start baking ?
You can. The bacon will get pretty broken up in the machine. You can wait until the "add ingredient" beep to add it too.
I want to try this but I don’t have any parmesan. Any thoughts on if it will still turn out ok? I really don’t want to go to the grocery store if I don’t have to 😷
I'm sure it will be delicious! Let me know if you try it.
LeighsHome I haven’t made it yet, but probably will this weekend! I’ll let you know :)
I just brought myself a bread maker.. can u add chopped bacon with the chopped cheese together to make a cheese and bacon bread ?
Yes and that sounds DELICIOUS! If you try it, let me know how it turns out.
So does the milk work better than water in this recipe .?
Trying today we will see thanks
What is the difference between letting it cook in the machine versus in the oven? Does it change the taste and/or texture? Thanks, I’m looking to buy a bread machine soon 😊
In the oven you can make different shapes of bread where as in the maker it comes out looking like a loaf . Also , the crust may get “ crunchier” but over all it taste the same :)
Can you add meats to the bread machine? I'm thinking of adding pepperoni and making pizza bread 😍
Probably. I might try it out to see.
Bake for how long?
The bread machine has its own internal timer, but when I make bread it takes about 4 hours start to finish.
I am curious. is it 3 cups of sifted or packed bread flower?
It's not sifted. I just used the 1 cup measuring cup to scoop the flour out of the canister. Thanks for watching!
Thank you Ma'am!
Hi, thank you for the interesting video! can I use this recipe on bread machine Panasonic SD-P104?
I'm sure it would be fine. Most bread machines work the same. Let me know if you try it! Thanks for watching! 😀
I will find time to try out! Thank you:)
Can i use on aztech apm 750 bread machine? What menu number i shall choose? Thanks
keep posting
Thanks!
What about yeast
She said 1 pack of instant yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
It's best to add the cheese or anything towards the end. Your bread machine would beep to let you know when to add things to it.
Packaged cheese should be washed prior and drained, and dried with a paper towel as they add a powder to it as to why it doesnt melt at room temp and leaves a drier texture to bread.
When it's about to rise in the machine drizzle a little more oil, I like to use avacado oil or grape seed oil. This is good for straight bread machine baking or taking it out to make dinner rolls.
I've been making this recipe for over 10 years and I like it the way it is. Thanks though.
