If you're ever wondering about the Japanese pronunciations, just remember that each syllable has its own pronunciation, so break the word down to each syllable and you'll know how to say it. Tobimune - an English speaking person might pronounce it "Tobi-Moon", but if you break down the syllables, it should be pronounced "Toe-Bee-Moon-Eh". Just keep the emphasis the same throughout the word. An Engish speaker might pronounce it "Toe-Bee-MOON-Eh", but in Japanese, there would be no emphasis, just say each syllable the same. Hope that helps or makes sense.

Manga didn't mention this, but during the phone call that John "Yura" Hishaku made, we hear from John himself, Shiba is one of, if not the strongest sorcerer around since the Seitei War. SHIBAGENDISTS RISE UP!!!
Anyways, Kagurabachi feels like if John Wick was set in magic Japan and I'm loving every second of it. I hope we get to see more of the Buddhist Imagery around Samura since that seemed pretty important to him. I'm also just a sucker for bird themed abilities so I want to see more of Samura/Tobimune anyways.

@@dantered-nh4tb don't worry, I always believed he was at the peak, the translations were a little vague on that. Good to know he is at the peak of sorcery. Now I know that I NEED a Shiba vs. John fight to happen before this manga is over.

I actually have a pet theory that Kuguri will end up helping Chihiro by angrily correcting his form as they fight. The panel of Kuguri's inner conflicting priorities was hilarious.

I think this is an AWEOSME setup when you think about the fact that, technically, it’s possible that chihiro does not actually have a contract with enten at the moment so there is some potential for him to use an inherent sorcery of his own while learning the way of the blade. Incredible start to a training arc for chihiro, let’s goooo!

Season 1 covering up to chapter 59 would be perfect for me. Always felt like Chihiro waking up after being presumed dead would be a great cliffhanger and would tempt people to read the manga.
I think 59 chapters would be good enough for 24 episodes. For example, jjk season 1 had 24 episodes that covered up to chapter 63.

I ended up reading the rest on the same sunday i read the last arc. I just like to go through the chapter panels as you recap so i didnt watch the video till i had time to do both.
They really recapped the Aot moment with the casual bug reveal was cool.
One twist on the story, that I tend to give in these comments, is Im not sure Samura didnt mean to kill Chiriro. I think they are throwing hints to make it look like that was his move with not seeing Uhuara body and his daughters fake death. However, the ninjas were the ones who faked her death not him. I think Char is why he is still alive and Samura is gonna pop when Chiriro appears. She has been out of sight out of mind since the last arc ended.
Side story but we learned that you lose your sorcery when you make the sword contract, does that mean Chiriro has his sorcery back atm. I wonder if he did get it back could he be an outlier who may get both when he returns to being a sword bearer and get dual sorcery like Hikari.
Speaking of the mvp, i think Hikari’s puishment for going over bored is gonna be him only having storehouse for the time being and the idea that if he goes too far again he may not have anything.
Im definitely surprised left everything to the 2 rando kids and the regular protection so far. Probably the traitor making them fight with one had behind his back.
I wonder if double H and Chiriro are gonna team up to fight Samura basically saying I’ll take my chances vs the other rather than a 1v1 with Samura. Everytime i type Samura i wanna say Samurai probably cuz Hikari put that idea in my head.

This arc messed me up. HH is a little menace and I’m itching to see him in action again
I am still distraught at the Samura plot twist. Uruha got done dirty by his master. I was fully expecting Samura to die and Uruha to join the gang. So far only Chihiro has plot armor.
My only gripe is that my favorite is Hakuri and he’s probably gonna be out of the equation because his skill would make things too easy.

The only flaw in Samuras plan is that he's not the protagonist. Legit he is so much stronger then everyone else that litteraly no one can say "he cant do it" because he's just that high above. Hell Uruha agreed with the whole "we dont deserve to live" but fought back because of all the people who died trying to protect him. So Samura isnt necessarily wrong in his actions either. Its a cycle of the ignorant dying for people who dont deserve it, and he wants to put an end to that cycle. Its noble in a way, but he's no hero.
He's gonna fail, but in universe he is a god on the bloody bath of vengeance and there is very little that can hope to stop him. Other then Iori his own daughter.

I can also see that it would be questionable whether or not Samura, even with the help of the Hishaku, could take out the wielder of the Magatsumi. That sword is called the "Shinuichi" or master work of Kunishege Rokuhira. The amount of reverence and fear placed around not only the blade, but the wielder makes me think that he is likely the single strongest entity in Kagurabachi right now. I definitely think that Samura is either overestimating how strong he is in comparison to the wielder of Magatsumi, or he just doesn't care as either way, Samura wants to die.
@tmanferndo5519 I dont think anyone WANTS to give the sword master the Magatsumi. Samura probably wants to kill that Psycho the most, but if he gets his sword back no one's winning.

@@tmanferndo5519 no matter what Samuras gonna die. Whether it be the Hishaku, the Kamunabi, or himself. He just wants to make things right as he sees it.

I have a feeling that if Samura is largely successful in his mission and ends up killing most of the other sword bearers (as this would also end up making the Hishaku a bigger threat narratively), then somehow the Magatsumi wielder is going to get his hands on the blade and be a big problem. I can honestly see one of the Kamunabi members giving it to him to "preserve the legacy" or something like that.
I’ve always wondered how someone who is reading weekly feels about the Samura betrayal because I’ve heard it didn’t hit too hard for some people because we only knew him for like 8 chapters before the betrayal. I was wondering ur feeling while binge watching

Honestly it really is just getting better and better. It hasn't grabbed me like JJK but it's honestly just a fun read in it's own right. Not everything needs to be compared I suppose
