Way to follow through with the mission... be well and stay encouraged!!!
Alex, you’ve been printing much longer than me and I defer to your superior knowledge and expertise in all things…
I print much less than you do, my printer is idle much more frequently, and I’m in the north where the weather is colder/dryer. I battle serious nozzle clogs everyday.
My life was miserable until I started doing manual flushing (syringe on manifold). I was doing constant soakings / clean cycles / load ink cycles and none of those really move the needle much.
In my experience, the dtf community is very apprehensive to manually flush their i3200s. As long as you 1. Don’t push too hard(1ML per sec pressure for water is a good pace) 2. Don’t get liquid on your ribbon cables….it will be fine.
I do have a short and long version videos of me doing these flushes on my Chanel. The largest benefit seems to be when you add distilled water into the print head, and then pull UP on the manifold before flushing it again. This will clear all the larger particulate through the manifold holes instead of trying to push them down through the screens.
I also recommend manually priming ink with a syringe on the manifolds / ink colors you are having trouble with. This also moves the needle in a big way and illuminates the possibility your problem is a damper / lack of ink problem
Yay!!
Where did you get the Clog Buster? I didn't see it in the maintenance kit?
Have you tried Purple Hammer?
What type of computers do you run?
Hi guys, How much ink and film is wasted when testing the printer per week or per month you guys reckon?
Let me give you some suggestions. First of all - get the smoke out of the shakers through ventilation, which I see you have made for screen printing. Those smoke filters you have on each shaker are not a good idea. They bring all the heat back into the room, and they don't filter well enough.
Second, put the humidifiers closer to the printers themselves. Your room is large and these home humidifiers are not up to the job at all. Think about something bigger. You already have 4 shakers.
Last but not least - Keep the workroom clean. There is a lot to be desired in this regard. The printers also need to be cleaned better - I have no idea how they work in this condition.
Right now you don't have that much clogging, but you have crooked nozzles. They spray crookedly. And this is a serious problem, even if all the nozzles appear, but they print crookedly. Turn off the heating of the vacuum platform, if you haven't done so. To fix it quickly, let the capping solution work for a while, or overnight. Another thing you can do is swap the color head with the white one, if the white one is in good condition. The white head is likely to fix this problem faster, in our experience.
