In a nutshell, I ‘m an avid dumpster diver, scrapper, picker, treasure hunter and underwater connoisseur. I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. Mike makes me happy. I wish more people had his attitude. He is a funny, mostly happy, and upbeat person. I enjoy the finds and treasures and at first, I was really upset at humanity for the greed and waste but, Mike and ALL the other DD'ers out there make me feel better. Balance eh? lol

That Tuttnauer is a pressurized steam autoclave/sterilizer. Might sell for parts on eBay, but at least should have stainless steel parts! They aren’t cheap that’s for sure!

hey Mike: So aside from all the dumpster drool (gross) you have to deal with, it is GREAT to see that the dumpster Gods are being more generous with you lately! Keep on keepin' on. in friendship, Mary Lou.
If you want to test that head unit out, just get a 12 volt battery and hook the yellow and red wires up to the positive terminal and the black wire up to the negative terminal. You could just open up your hood and test it with your car battery real quick.

Those lawn mower guys have no idea that they are viewing the great Mike The Scavenger at work. The greatest scavenger that ever lived, with over 205 thousand subscribers. Good call on the bird houses. I'll bet their well over a 100 years old. My brother-in-law makes them.

The LED lights need a power supply which sold separately.
You can test them with the right volts and apms.
See the box or any stickers for electrical information if found.
That Tuttnauer machine is a sterilizer (like a pressure cooker) that gets super hot and steamy. Commonly used in health care clinics.
I paid over 3 grand for that same oscilloscope back in the 80s .nice find ,I definetly want to come to your next yard sale

If they are 120 volts you don't need a power supply. Just take a old drop cord and cut the end off of it and strip it back. Hook black wires together and the white wires together and plug in in a outlet. Love your videos!!!

Those LED lights are 120 volt. They are for cans. that are in the ceiling. there is a socket that can go in were the bulb is. or you can get cans that have that plug on them already. I have both.
Whoever threw the LED lights away probably just wrote "Bad" on the box in hopes nobody would take them. Good find! Mike.

Sending prayers that you stay safe if hurricane hits where you are.
If you want to check if its working, you can easily find a diagram online. Though aftermarket radios are often color coded. Like yellow is for +12v, red is for ignition +12v, black is ground, green, purple, white and grey are the speakers.
And use one of the power supplies to power it.

Like I said Mike the birdhouses can be fixed with automobile Bondo make a little hardener spread it on to the shape wafer to get harder sand it down and just repaint it FYI

Those LED insert are about $10.00- $15.00 a piece. If you have can lights at home change them out , they are white light.

Wow! Awesome haul! Lotz of resale value... even the birdhouses can be redone and sold for good money. Like someone said below that furnace can be fixed and you can make scrappy scrap stuuuf. Your vid making me want to go back out even now that I live far away from good dumpsters.

very simple to check the deck if it’s working plug that little harness in the back of the deck connect a yellow and red wire together which is accessory and battery go to your car battery touch the yellow and red wire that’s connected together to the positive and the black wire to the negative the head unit will turn on Bingo Bango that turns on it works if it doesn’t turn on its no good very easy way to test any car stereo head unit

It would be great if you started some of your videos with an update on things you've found that you got working or not and what you did with them.
seeing that O-scope in the trash breaks my heart.
All of that stuff out of that dumpster is worth a pretty penny to the right person... my guess is that some poor bastard’s bitter ex-wife cleaned out his hobby shed after she changed the locks on him when he took off with his pals for a weekend hunting trip.

So you found a couple of variable bench power supplies and a whole lot of LED Lights (12V probably) seems you may have the where withall to be able to test both out.....
Mike use the headboards to make benches. You can get the lumber needed on your future scrap runs.
You can test the pioneer head unit with some of the power supplies you found, see if there is a manual or a sticker on the car stereo explaining how to wire it, test it on 12 volts.. could save you some time and some bucks
Cut the rotted bottom off and replace it with some 1x4 or 1x2 on the bird houses using a pocket hole joint. They are freeking awesome!!!!

The car radio is a walmart specail prolly worth 60 to 90 bucks if its blown you can contact pioneer and talk to the tech there to see how to get it replaced tell them it was a gift ...it sorta was just do say from what lol..I'm a Walmart auto associate.....

The Dumpster gods were generous with you that round!! Watch for platinum wire/thermocouples in some of that scientific & industrial equipment....anything dealing with high temperatures may have a platinum thermocouple in it. VERY good money in scrap platinum.
