Congrats on almost hitting the 5 year mark and completing your masters (out of curiosity, what did your do your masters in?) My 5 year mark is in March and just like you said it’s hard to celebrate the victory when chronic side effects have had a daily impact on your life. Best of luck on your biopsy it’s great that your taking your health in your own hands to avoid it being misdiagnosed. I’m getting my bachelors in nursing right now and patient advocating for themselves is something that is super important.
I just want to thank you for posting these videos. Even though our diagnosis weren’t the same I really resonate with how cancer has impacted your life. I’m remember watching your older videos during chemo and the things you were saying were as if you were reading my mind lol. You’ve encouraged me to start my own little blog that helps me journal and just get things off my chest.
    Take care

Hey Taaha. Thanks so much for commenting and sharing your experience. I did my Masters in Clinical Psychology and I'm working as a psychologist and researcher at the moment. Fantastic work studying nursing - we need more empathic nurses who get it. I still vividly remember the nurses who brought warmth to their work versus those who didn't. It really affects you as a patient. You're right - it is hard to celebrate these victories with our chronic side effects. Do you also struggle with fatigue or other side effects? Please share your blog in the comment so I can check it out when I have time.
Knowing my videos brought you comfort in a time of great suffering warms my heart, Taaha. Thank you for letting me know.

At this point of my journey I deal with fatigue and tinnitus. The fatigue isn’t as bad as it used to be upon completion of chemo. I find that taking breaks throughout the day help significantly. There’s not much that I do about the tinnitus. It comes and goes. Here’s the link to my blog www.thebellhas2sides.com

Thank you for speaking out about the side effects of cancer and its treatment. I do not know many vloggers who do that, and it is important to know. Please don't feel like a burden. Your loved ones are lucky to have someone so insightful and lovely around them. I personally love listening to your reflections.

Fibrocysric breasts - I was diagnosed with same; Dr. prescribed Vitamin E (450mg), daily, and recommended no caffeine, or slow down on caffeine (that didn't happen!), but I couldn't believe that pain (felt like bad bruise) in my breast was gone in less than a week just from taking the Vitamin E! Continue to take it, and have had no more problems. So happy you've remained cancer free! 💖

Congrats on the new relationship. Seems like you're doing well. If things don't work out you could try being single for a while too. I used to be a serial monogamist and finally after 2 years of being alone I've realised how much baggage I used to take from relationship to relationship because I was scared to be alone and never gave myself time to heal. I guess you're in a different situation because the cancer gave you a different perspective on time.
Anyway, take it easy and good to see you're healthy and happy.

Hey Brent. Thanks for commenting and sharing a bit of your story. I have realised that I am a big caretaker and this is something I want to be more mindful of in my new relationship. Easier said than done!
Mmm yeah cancer did give me a new perspective on time... but at the same time I have learned how draining and exhausting relationships can be. How they can drain us in one way or another and ultimately take away from our lives rather than nourish us. Mmm tricky business... Thankfully I am not scared to be single, but I am scared to miss out on the right person - if that makes sense? Anyway, thanks for sharing and I hope you are healthy and happy too.
