I recently updated to iOS 15.6 and it screwed up my Wi-Fi connection. Certain apps wouldn't load and some mentioned "no internet connection". I also was no longer able to connect to Apple CarPlay...bummer. My Wi-Fi icon also did not display on the home screen even though in settings, it showed that I was connected. I figured out that the phone somehow ended up with a VPN (I didn't download that) and it was restricting my access. I went to settings, pulled down the search bar and typed in VPN--> VPN & Device Management-->if there is a VPN available, delete it. Solved my problem, my phone is now working with zero issues. I hope this helps! Now I can cancel my appointment with Geek Squad, yay! XD

If this is always a temporary fix then let me share the workaround: make sure that auto-join wifi is turned on. Then simply go to wifi and turn it off then on. It will automatically reconnect. Wifi is active again. That simple and quick but this is just a band-aid solution. Apple needs to get this bug fixed once and for all. Even in IOS 16 it still happens.
If anyone is having issues still, after you reset all your settings... turn on airplane mode, turn off focus mode, turn on wifi, and TURN OFF VPN settings. After this it worked for me.
I had the same issue, had to downgrade to 14.7 beta 4. nothing works from this video. Maybe the issue is with esim or VPN. i'll try again after disabling these two.

CJLucas bro, As a last ditch effort, you can give your iPhone a hard reset by putting it into recovery mode, it will fix any and all software glitch from iPhone and can fix the issue.😊

this works but my parents just keep blocking it so every time i reset it, i get wifi for maybe 1-5 min and then it happens again over and over. is there any way i can hide my ip or prevent it from getting blocked?
You don't need to reset it all you have to do is if none works the last you just go to setting/ general/ time and date/ automatic....... then return to your app and it works

All, if any of this did not work you may have a VPN that is interfering and causing your wifi to connect but not showing the icon. Go into Settings on Iphone, tap VPN and select the (i) icon next to it. Then tap the red forget VPN or delete VPN and it will autoconnect to digial secure and your wifi should show back up and youll start getting signal.

I had this problem with my ipad. It was because of vpn. It didnt help even I turned vpn off from my settings. I needed to go my vpn app and disable the app trying to connect vpn all the time.
I still have this problem on iOS 16 every time I forget network and renter my wifi password my internet works again I know it not my internet that’s the problem because my other devices don’t have this issue.

Go onto your iPad and click on your “settings” app. After that scroll down to “general” click general and scroll down until you see “Transfer or Reset iphone” after that click on “Reset” then press “Reset Network Settings.” Once you click that your iPads screen should go black as it loads, once your screen comes back on go to your settings again and go to your WiFi like usual put in the password for your WiFi again, and it should work.

If anyone is having issues still, after you reset all your settings... turn on airplane mode, turn off focus mode, turn on wifi, and TURN OFF VPN settings. After this it worked for me.
