I absolutely love kaleo. I find it unbelievable that a band from Iceland can create , understand and find that Americana blues sound more than most American bands. They deserve so much more respect.
I've been down an icelandic rabbit hole lately...I can assure you that this tiny nation of 300k has some of the best blues, pop, heavy metal, electro, island, rap, etc music....except r&b except for few songs in the 90s
Several songs off of Kaleo's A/B album were used all over the place in TV shows and advertising shortly before and after the album's release in 2016, particularly their song, "Way Down We Go" and I know the band lived in Austin for awhile between tours right after that album blew up for them. They're a very Southern Blues influenced Icelandic rock band. Most of their work would like be categorized as Rock but some songs lean closer to folk.
I’ve never heard this young man before. Really good music here. It sounds like the music is rooted in a mixture of 40s and 50s blues, rock with a updated 70s backdrop of the style of the doors, bringing it into a small space of rockabilly.making it its own unique thing. Just a thought from a great grandma.
Kaleo is one of my absolute favorites! Incredible. Just incredible. He is holding back here. Please go check out their other stuff where his grit and range and their array of sounds really punch through.
THIS! This is why when people say we no longer hear good music, I beg to disagree! True, there is not the same level of abundance of it that we had back in the day, but Kaleo is proof that it does still exist! I can easily name at least ten other bands without really having to think very hard that are on the same or better level. Thanks for this.
I don't listen to music these days because it is all shit. BUT Greta van fleet Kaleo Rival sons Dirty honey These people make me believe that real music still exists
@@barakaafrobama6519 do you understand tonality in the language English? What I meant was except these bands today's music is shit AF. Damn people like you make today's shitty music I think
Kaleo one of my wife's favorites, very clean English pronunciation for a group from Iceland. Others she likes that I've never seen reactions to are Dermot Kennedy and Amber Run (Irish and English).
The Kaleo song I recommend the album A/B would be Save Yourself, followed by the song BackBone from the album Surface Sounds. Kaleo is my favorite band of all time, and one of the few bands I can think of that doesn't have a single bad song.
Honestly, Kaleo is a great rabbit hole. Their whole first album is incredible. The live song they played on an iceberg (save yourself) is a stunning video, too. I'll try to find it for you here: ruclips.net/video/oCi0RHLrauU/видео.htmlsi=Mr_iFzwkuM8DBWKK
I've only listened to Way down we Go by this band recently listened to this version of this song and it's amazing truly i hope they're working on another album
KALEO is my absolute favorite! Kind of a combo of blues rock and some folk! Pretty ballads and some killer rock tracks! Super underrated!
10000000%
This band is one of the best in the business today.
Yes! A true rock band with a lot of soul. My favorite rock band at the moment. ❤
They are SO...unknown? Underrated? So good....just wonderful musicians and music. Period.
They make their own genre. Beautifully unique, and true musicians in their own right. One of Iceland’s best exports.

I adore Kaleo, their entire catalogue is amazing. As far as genre, bluesy rock.

Kaleo is absolutely my guilty pleasure. Especially since I'm an old school "hip hop head"

Thank you for reacting. I have been asking forever and has seen very few actually review Kaleo.. they need more support.
Reacting to this version of the song is honestly a really good call. I like Current Radio version way more than an album version, hands down
God, I have just been dying for someone I care about to do Kaleo.
A job very well done Sir
They are awesome.
Watch the TV show Longmire, and many many more have used Kaleo songs.
react to Kaleos performance of 'Way down we go,' his vocal control really shows
@corrupt9887: he already did, but it seems that he may have forgotten... ruclips.net/video/Uf4WpQVMzZU/видео.htmlsi=Jt43Xe5fZEL7KTdC

Eythor Ingi - She's Gone.... please react to it.
Dude is a vocal monster ❤
I think MRLBOYD would love ,, Jack Savoretti Breaking the rules live’’
I prefer Written in Scars personally, but either would be great!~
Strongly suggest checking out Castaway Angel's by Leprous
