Too bad - no deer hunting in the video.
My guess is that deer should not be hunted with a small elm bow and simple arrows... What do you think?
I love this game. But 1 issue I would liked changed. Say you are out hunting deer and all of a sudden you are jumped by bandits. There is no easy way to just switch from bow to shield. Why you are switching they are beating the hell out of you and by the time you finally get it equipped your dead.
So there needs to be hot keys for outfits.

@@GamingwithKristi thank you. Oh and the deer. 9 times out of 10 the deer see you long before you see them. And they take off. Only 1 time have I gotten within 10 feet of a deer. The deer just stood there. But I was too busy running from 3 wolves and 5 boars that were all chasing me. I think that deer was actually laughing at me
Love the game even in EA. However cannot find garlic !!!!!
Garlic is found just north of the lake where the fisherman Paul Fishburn is, under a little crop of trees off the side of the road.
is the game to new for wiki? discord? opr steam the only place right now?
It is too new for a Wiki. I'm working on a spreadsheet of recipes. Might have my community help with that actually! They do have a discord.

Straps! Lmao you can't make them until tier 2 of the village but need them to make the main building in tier 2.
On a bandit genocide trying to get straps
This is the way. Lol! There are also some vendors out in the world that sell them. ;)
South of Hernadean, in a big open field, he will sell you straps. They are about 75g a piece. However, as you progress you can set up a Sign post next to the road where he is in the open field, and then make Simple Cords, you can sell him 13 Simple Cords at 10g per Cod per day (130g), making up the net loss gold if you are trying to buy Straps, so essentially it is Flax for Straps in a way.
Garlic locations please!
Easiest to find is south of Hearnean and east of Padstow. Going on road toward padstow, there's a lake on the left with some fisher vendors. There's a little patch of trees between the road and the lake. It's there. =)
@@GamingwithKristi thanks! I find when winter hits I run out of food that same day and spend the remaining time hunting for meat. Food spoilage seems ridiculously fast. Any tips to make it through winter better?

I'm so hooked on this game. I'm already more than 100 days in, and I've got some tier 2 buildings already. I just set up a small iron settlement at a medium-sized former bandit camp. I had to kill 10 bandits with a whole squad of villagers, but I haven't been able to mine iron yet. I think I need the upgraded mining building and pickaxes. The first town is in rebellion, but my whole point is that I've never had a deer drop an antler. 😂😅 I haven't been able to kill many. Garlic is too easy to find, guys. It's very close to where most of us set up our first settlement. I also hope you can set up trade routes from settlement to settlement since I have to bring a lot of plants and materials myself since they don't grow everywhere. For example, flax and river reed don't grow where I want to mine iron.
Love it! So much fun, right? You can set up trade routes! Make a place it's own outpost. You can look under deliveries tab in settlement management and schedule deliveries between stockpiles. Eventually they will be physically transferred but for now they magically teleport at midnight. =)
@GamingwithKristi Yes, I love the game. I hope they keep supporting it and releasing new content. I reported some bugs and made a few suggestions on their page. I hope it helps. Damn, I know you can make a place your own settlement, but I overlooked the deliveries tab. I will look for it when I start up the game again. Thanks a lot!

There's currently no fishing pole yet. You can buy fish from merchants.
