Medical Hernia Mesh - A Health Disaster

  • Each year hundreds of thousands of hernia surgeries are performed in the United States and many years ago, a product came out to the market called the “Kugel Mesh Patch.”
    That hernia patch was a horrific product that was made of a plastic chemical polymer and had a ring around the patch that would break and dislodge in a patient’s skin, abdomen, or intestines. America’s Lawyer Mike Papantonio talks about medical device companies that continue to produce experimental medical devices.

    This is what happens when our government deregulates everything. FDA, EPA, MDA etc.. Expect more of these problems in the future if we fail to change this.

    thats one example why we (europeans) dont want a trade agreement like TTIP with the US.
    here everyone has to prove his product does no harm *prior* to selling it, in the US a product is produced and used and - lets see what happens.
    and if the product is harmfull, there is just a calculation if its still cost effetive to sell and use it anyways instead of taking it from the market. nah, thanks. keep that practice to yourselfs.

    I had a hernia in my chest, my food gets stuck going down and it actually is very painful when eating! The mesh is causing tremendous pain, even stretching to turn my light off hurts a very sharp and discomforting pain. I sometimes just cant eat unless my food is broken down to pretty much baby food. I have had 2 ultrasounds the first was inaccurate, the findings were that I have a healthy gallbladder! Well my gallbladder was removed over a decade ago. The second confirmed that it is the mesh from my hernia surgery that is causing all this pain. The mesh has been proven defective what can I do? I can't handle the pain, and would really live to enjoy a large dinner with everything I LOVE TO EAT! I also NEED this MESH REMOVED from my body and fixed properly! To all you guys feeling like this I feel your pain and wish you the best!!!

    I am in the UK and I had a hernia operation. I was told that, as part of the procedure, the doctors had to put in a plastic disc, just below my belly button, in order to keep the abdominal wall together. Now, more than a year later, I am in more pain than I was in before the operation! I had my stomach looked at under ultrasound but the doctor said there was definitely no problem there. The doctor performing the ultrasound seemed oddly unconcerned in my condition, she didn't even seem to be looking at the screen as she gave me the ultrasound, as if I was somebody obviously there to waste her time. Afterwards, my local GP gave me four packets of Fybogel, despite telling him I already had plenty of fibre in my diet and wasn't suffering from constipation at all but he just fobbed me off and doesn't want to know about my pain. I am now worried that I had this mesh device put into me, maybe that is what the disc actually was about, I really hope not!

    This topic would be better covered if you included citations to longitudinal studies, evidence-based outcomes, etc. There is a general air of danger being projected, but for those of us who want to see specifics, this video comes up a bit short. I know several people who've gone through hernia surgery and had complications as well as returning hernias.
    Again, it would be helpful to separate the science from the politics for clarity's sake. There are indeed some legitimate cases where medical devices are not being properly tested, or tested with subpar controls and test designs. TYT has covered it before and with much better depth than in this video. And there are also many other reasons for why a surgery failure could occur.

      I got most of mine removed. I too have cognitive decline and fuzzy brain. I also have a metal hip which could contribute as well but the most is a for certain when it comes to foreign body reaction. Your body is rejecting it via having an autoimmune response. Your immune system will fatigue over time while it continues to reject it and I believe this is where the mental decline problems begin.

    A young lady that this one knew from age 9 to her death in her early 30s.
    she was a meth bady, born with no lining that separates Bay heart lung muscle area cavity from the intestinal organ cavity.
    was told by medical people at a young age not to have children. she did. That lead to a decades-long battle of 37 surgeries.
    the meth epidemic that hit in the 90's and previous users giving birth to children. brought a Cascade of people who need to have this kind of experimental crisis Intervention.
    all different kinds of mesh and pig skin were used.

  • @IngetKant
    @IngetKant 7 лет назад +3

    For fucks sake, please link to sources when you are going to make claims like this. You can't simply state that there were studies or stories and expect us to believe it. It shouldn't be that hard to include a link to the study, ruling, or story you are referring to. It doesn't help that the one link you do have is to your personal legal website, which makes this strongly reeks of ambulance chasing.
    The sad thing is that even if you are right about these medical meshes, you come off incredibly shady when you don't link your sources, and when the only thing you do link is your own business, which profits from lawsuits against medical companies.

    • @daemonblackfyre3238

      IngetKant They were showing the sources in the video xD Did you actually watch it then go research it yourself? Most of us did.

    • @IngetKant
      @IngetKant 7 лет назад +1

      Showing a source is not the same as citing/linking a source. I realize they "showed" the the document referenced onscreen, but my objection is that they didn't actually cite them. Showing a single paragraph from a document does not provide the viewer with the full context in which it was made. To actually look at what he's talking about I have to go through the effort of trying to track them down myself.
      It's not that unreasonable to ask someone to put a link to a source if they use it in their video. It saves everyone a little time and adds credibility to what is being discussed.
