In Muay Thai, kicking the arm is very important to wear down the heavy boxing fighters(Muay Maat, มวยหมัด).
I have boxed for 6 years and just started to practice kickboxing. Kicking takes so much energy 😅😅
Keep it up! Kicking for me now is as easy as punching. No secret, keep practicing!
Cos you aren't used to it like punching
Kicks are worth it! They create distance and do soooo much damage.
This video blew my mind 🤯
Some concepts seem so obvious but nobody ever showed it so clearly to me.
Please come out with a Rant series, these are strangely super helpful.
I really appreciate the nuance and level of detail you go into. Some of this stuff is impossible to intuit by yourself.
Dude ... This is so cool, when you said find angles like with the hands that really put it into perspective for me. Thanks Joe!!!!
Always a pleasure watching and learning from your videos
This is some real tricky stuff. Learned a good amount!
Excellent Class. When would you like to throw which kick? Make up a song with different words for each kick Breaking it down when you sing the word kick the liver next lyric different trigger word equals a different attack. Sing yourself into a Super Ninja then you can just say the proper kick or body part, kind of like writing a screenplay for the fighters..
If you can add a strong rear roundhouse with great timing such a invaluable weapon
“Longest weapon…” ~ Bruce Lee. Gold as always 🙏🏻
Thanks so much!Reaaly helpfull.
Thanks you si much i like your vidéo because i learn thé smaull détails before i couldn t balance naow it's OK 😀❤️
Great video. Learned alot. Thanks.
What about TKD kicks using the instep? Also do you think ITF TKD kicks with the 'ball-of-the-foot' are efficacious?
Another great video
PETCHHHH! This was GREAT
Great video, thanks💪🏾😎
Nice.
Cro cop em
Letss goo !!
because body kicks are easily checked and grabbed
Not unless you set them up properly.
My go to striking channel but
Body kicks are useless. Either someone will catch your leg for a takedown or they can elbow the shi out your leg. Its simply not worth the risk Imo
You aren't setting the kick up right. Did you see Brandon Moreno tko Kai-Kara France with a liver kick last year? They are worth the risk.
Sorry but I'd let them elbow my leg all day if they're willing to eat a full power roundhouse kick to the body lmao
Awesome guide! But poor girl with bruised thighs, I can tell she's sparring a lot. :)
First?
1. Kicking takes a lot of energy. (High kicks)
2. Damages your movement. (Low kicks)
3. Easier to be taken down. (Body kicks)
Stephen Thompson, Yair Rodriguez, Anthony Pettis, Edsom Barboza, etc. All those years spent kicking to a higher degree and all ya need to do is close the distance and grapple. The results don't justify the time spent.
Again, this is from an MMA perspective.
Kicks are overrated. There's a reason why the spectacular KO lists contain a lot of kicks...because they are rare.
I got it,your a boxer.Theres no need to justify your craft or whathever in a essay
@@obilivexus9660 I specialize in BJJ.
There's a reason why the Wrestler/Boxer dominates. It's numbers. Next.
@@GalryZ lol right now most UFC champion are not necessarily boxer and wrestlers. A lot of champions were good kicker but it's obvious that kicking in MMA need more setting up. A lot of "G.O.A.T" where kicking a lot actually like Jon Jones, Anderson Silva and GSP... Also, when you're good at kicking it barely take energy. I'm an average joe and I can kick a lot by round because I've been doing it for a fairly long time. Kick are not overated, you're just not good at them.
@@frederickdoyon Got it.
Where can I see your MMA fights?
@@GalryZ hey, good argument! Really thought out. The fact I have no MMA fight doesn't change that the 3 guys I mentioned were good kicker right?
