HOW FAST are the Freewing F-16 Falcon and F-22 Raptor?

The F-16 servos control both the ailerons and elevators together, so when you pull back, the ailerons pull up on both sides, spoiling the lift and increasing the turn radius. Also it has a conventional horizontal stabilizer and elevator setup, not stabilators like the F-22. That’s why I prefer the 64mm F-22. If Freewing had added 2 elevator servos like on the old E-Flite 64mm F-16 it would be way better (not to say they can’t be added by the consumer.) Great video!

Loving RC plane week, Cap'n! I dug out my old Calypso Mini sailplane that the family got me after my folks passed away back in 2011. I had stopped flying it after the rudder broke and life got busy, but you've made me remember just how much fun an RC plane is to fly- so I've repaired the rudder and found (surprisingly) that the battery still holds a charge so I'm hoping to head out for a flight this weekend.
Now it's time to start deciding what new plane to get 🙂. Thanks as always for the best drone and RC content on the internet!

@@TheMrskydog My iX12 is very old and still works, but I upgraded earlier in the year to the ix14. The iX12, with age, had a light burnt out in the color display, so not as bright outdoors, and the operating system often crashed on me (had no effect on flying planes), just meant I had to reboot. I keep it as a backup radio in case my ix14 goes out of commission.

With the F-16, can you control the mix between aileron and elevator? Curious what an ellivon Snap Roll might look like. With no rudder, the Raptor wouldn’t be able to do a true snap roll at all. The higher dollar Futaba and Airtronics controllers from the 90’s and 00’s had a dedicated snap roll momentary switch. Haven’t seen one of those in a while. Great video!!

so elevators a tualy push the rear of the plane down to lift the nose so you get downforce from the ailerons when you pull up wich isnt ideal for takeoff, thats why the f16 takes longer to lift off, its also why i personaly prefer a plane with separate ailerons or a delta wing that doesnt push you entire plane down when you want to go up

I have the 90mm 8s with the 1950 motor. I shaved 700g of weight off the aircraft all around(it’s difficult, do not attempt), and I but giant 2x4s 7200 80C batteries along with a 3rd party 15 blade fan that was more expensive than that 64mm f22, and I’m going to be super excited to see 150mph. I must admit that not all the parts are here, but they will be this summer, and if my math is correct that’s my theoretical top speed in zero wind. I get 7 minutes off those batteries, but only 4 minutes if I’m showing off. Mind you that during testing I drained 50% of my 2x4s3000 test batteries in less than 30 seconds, and absolutely cooked them. I’ve spent more than $1500 on this monster.

In the year 2020 the word “DRONE” referred to anything unmanned and remotely piloted (drones, helicopters, planes), so I taught myself how to fly all of them & the channel mainly focuses on those products. Hence CAPTAIN DRONE means I fly anything the world calls a drone (plane, helicopter, drone), What viewers find amazing is that as a true FPV DRONE pilot, I quickly learned how to fly RC planes & Helicopters within weeks & fly them well. Now I can tell you are new to my channel because I only repeated the DRONE PILOT statement for a month or two and never again.
