I have went to Brevard for the last 3 years in the summer and it is probably the most relaxing place ever. I love the mountain views and all of the waterfalls. If I could move there I would.
I'm headed there late next month. Won't do any shopping this time because I'll be sticking to out-of-the-way camping because of the pandemic, but I am still really, really looking forward to my three weeks in the Appalachians, some of which will be here.
my 7th Great Uncle is Ephraim Joseph Brevard Beauverd, later Beauvert is beautiful 🟢 from Languedoc🇫🇷 the Surname became Brevard or Bevard in 🇮🇪 / Maryland I have Bravard Cousins from MD to IN and Brevard Cousins other places and NC and SC my 6th Great Grandfather Alexander is where my Great Grandfather and 2nd Great Grandfathers get their names from and my Mother is named after Harriet Brevard lovely town it is! been a number of times! going this weekend! Beautiful green area like Languedoc! (never been to 🇫🇷) Love the accent and family love to all relations!
Love Brevard and it does have a lot to offer and very pretty. But though there are mountains around it, it's definitely not a mountain town. Pretty low elevation, around 2k I believe. Plus it rains. Alot! I've though about moving there for quite awhile but can't decide between Brevard, Waynesville or Banner Elk.
@@skorpyo331 I spent a couple of days in Fairview a couple of weeks ago for a birthday celebration and fell in love with the place. I'm from Florida and I've been thinking of moving to NC ever since I got back. Been looking and researching other nearby towns such as Black Mountain and Hendersonville.
@@Disciple_Jon I lived in Brevard for 8 years. I was a substance abuse counselor there, so I saw parts of the county that the tourism industry tries to hide. I was amazed at the number of murders that happen here and are brushed aside as suicides - keeps those crime statistics low.
@@Disciple_Jon Do not listen to this fool. I've lived here for 15 years. There's been like 1-2 murders in the past couple of years. There is no high crime.
@@Disciple_Jon I've lived in brevard my whole life and there's not very much crime at all but there is a good bit of unemployment overall it's a pretty nice small town
It is place that, for maybe 50 of my 67years, was a wonderful place to live, but now has been ruined by the nonstop and deadly influx of transplants, especially those from "up north." They are generally the most obnoxious and ill-mannered people that I've ever had the displeasure of being around. I now no longer recognize my once friendly hometown, and it both angers me and breaks my heart. 😡😤/😥💔
Don't move here 😅 were full! And I appreciate all the Cali and Michigan people moving in and ruining our small town! Locals can't afford to live now that it's a little asheville. Oh well I guess it was only a matter of time!

Well...... perhaps that's why crime is so much lower in these small mountain towns. Perhaps that's why these small mountain towns are so beautiful. Posts like yours offer proof that all races have their RACISTS. As a matter of fact.... truth be known..... minority races are more RACIST than other races. DemocRATS and their fake talking points always harp on accusing whites of being racist, but we know it's DemocRATS and their brainwashed cult ( whites and blacks) who can't break free from their party cult of slave plantation owners telling them how to think, how to vote, what to say, what to do, etc. that keep them in line. Don't you think it would be in the best interest of all true Patriotic Americans to decide for themselves what is best for them..... ? Keep priorities straight.... GOD, Family, and Country . I am a Brevard native. Thank you for showing the beauty of Brevard.
I agree, I love it here!!!! :). Thank you for sharing!
I went to summer camp close to Brevard 20 years ago. Never forgot how beautiful that area is.
Very informative. My wife and I are going to Asheville/Brevard this October to look at houses.
Don’t forget Hendersonville and Flat Rock.
Great video, informative, helps you get your bearings in that part of the state.
Very informative and beautiful scenery. Just subscribed 👍

Has it ever flooded there?
Thanks for the video! Looking into western NC for an eventual move
Don’t do it. This video belies the real Transylvania County - high crime, high unemployment, a fractured infrastructure, poor access to medical care.

Nice town but restaurants weren't great. Found much more and better in tiny Saluda. Step it up Brevard, we want to come back !

Where are the Black people?
Detroit
In Chicago who’s fault is that
Philadelphia
Harlem and you can go there and ask where are the white people.
Or better go to Bernie Sanders town, or how about Obama's neighborhood 🤔
Transylvania? Any vampires?
What I have noticed about nc
Most black people don't populate mountain areas also nice expensive towns rich white people live there

Are you perhaps saying that Marthas Vineyard in Massachusetts is mostly black ? or that Malibu, Calif. is 90 % minority races ?
Brevatd has alot of blacks, a whole lot. There's been a black community in brevard since its inception. Its plenty big too.
