Okay, can't tell whether this is Fan Podcasting or a parody of Fan Podcasting, or both, or neither -- but, whatever, because it's still some funny schtick....
i'm so crazy about lord huron lore and seeing someone else out there who feels the same is just so cool!!!!!! i don't have friends who are as obsessed as me or who even know the band so i can't talk to anyone about the tangled mess of lore theory floating around in my otherwise empty brain so this is just. superb!! and i'm going to their concert in a few days so the obsession is truly reaching an all time high!!! ANYWAYS!!! THANKS FOR YOUR WORK!!!
came two years laye but i fuckibg love your interpretation of johnnie. he's been my favorite since i watch the Vide Noir movie and basically hes my babygirl. I need more of him in my life
I crawled off to de-tox after a bad reaction to Vide Noir, but Long Lost seems to be a-calling me back for another fix. I can only stay away One Day At A Time.
Interacting because they genuinely are the greatest band, massively underrated, and have been the catalyst to some of the best breakdowns of my life. More LH content! Tbh you could even do specific song analyses and I think ppl would tune in. There’s just so. Damn. Good. Also yesss dead mans hand.
I’m so deeply comforted to know I’m not the only one who’s this obsessed with Lord Huron. It’s been a decade and I’m still so in love with all of their songs, with their sound, with the themes and story…. There’s no other band like Lord Huron. Not one.
Was talking with a friend about Lord Huron once, and I was like, "yeah, it gives me old west pulp fiction from the 1950's vibes", and then he was like "ready to have your mind blown?" And I've never recovered from the lore rabbit hole that that sent me down.
I feel like it should’ve just been a buck song because as I said, there are WAY too many characters in strange trails, and it seems fair to assume that the events within it applied to Buck too
Your concept is way different from mine. I took it that Huron actually DID succeed at being The Man Who Lives Forever and lived in through history to become Buck. The reason Buck/Huron then gets tied up in all this edge of life and death shit for two albums is of course that he’s immortal, but he’s not like some Doctor Who wise immortal he’s still a perpetual dumbass pining endlessly for random girls, he just, like, can’t die. If it wasn’t all about the immortal Lord Huron then why’s the band called that? Checkmate atheists. I mean in Vide Noir he’s like “To die for good it must be earned the ways of death can never be learned I learned that lesson lives ago” sounds pretty damn immortal to me.
Hey y'all, saying it so the air is clear but ya I'm just not gunna continue this series. It's not what I wanna make my channel about when I pick it up. As much as I love it, a lot of LH's lore is cleary made up as it goes before each album. *It's not bad*, dgmw, but it's not worth turning into the next matpat over. Will I make other videos about Lord Huron eventually? Yes, absoluetly. Will it be the focus of my channel? No way. Also, so so sorry to all the fans I promised years ago that I'd make another installment. Y'all's support is so appreciated and I hope you guys love whatever comes next! =]
They’re the only thing that keeps me going. Received my signed copy of Long Lost today and it is my most prized possession. Lay me with it down in that hole and bury me with all my memories.
Oh my god, I’ve been looking for a video like this for so long. I love your interpretation of Lonesome Dreams. It’s hella different from mine, which is one of the things I love so much about Lord Huron’s music
Some mistakes in the video: 9:02 Yaaaaaaaaa, I may need more than a week Song at 8:04 is 'Sweet Magic' by Junkie ft. Kagamine Rin There's some things that were confirmed to be false that I mentioned but I'll get to it in the next part I made like a bunch of screw ups on the character cards That's what you get for not paying attention while editing -__-
is there somewhere to get started with all this bc i gotta be honest all of this is going over my head… do y’all (as in the fandom lol) have like… an intro video to the band in general? or a blog or smth?
ik some fans made the "way out there wiki" which imo is rly good. it mainly compiles info whilst listing popular theories and has an ACTUAL timeline listing confirmed events. MY only gripe is that some things the wiki confirms as canon go against my theories but they're ones I haven't mentioned (but will when I wrap up this series)

oh fuck. honestly, I never touched the EPs lore-wise, as I could never find anything to suggest an overarching story. Tho I'll probably run through any thoughts I have on them and make a couple of theories on them ;]
I love that you're crazy enough to nail down the lore! But I feel a big part of their music is that it's not supposed to be explain or at least in detail, like it's supposed to be vague. Also what do you think of the new vibe they're going for?
For lonesome dreams the GRJ website tells you the order of songs. It’s Lonesome Dreams" (1966) "She Lit a Fire" (1968) "Time to Run" (1969) "Ends of the Earth" (1971) "The Man Who Lives Forever (1974) "In the Wind" (1977) "Brother (Last Ride)" (1979) "I Will Be Back One Day" (1983) "Lullaby" (1985) "The Ghost on the Shore" (1987) "Setting Sun" (unfinished) for the book’s publication
I have watched your video in its entirety and have a few thoughts of my own I'd like to share: FIRST AND FOREMOST: For the sake of morality, hope in humanity, and respect for values that all humans hold dear in their inmost being (whether they live like it or not), LET US ASSUME HURON IS NOT INFIDELITIOUS. It is best to assume he is the most loyal cowboy/wrangler of the west/what have you as I would think cowboys are. Although there may be some speculation that he was disloyal, for his benefit (and for ours) I do not think there is enough to believe he is a two-timin' fool. I agree that Blaquefut's favorite song is probably something by Sabbaton. ALSO, LILY'S BOYFRIEND LOOKS LIKE JIM CROCE? HAVE YOU LISTENED TO JIM CROCE BRO? HE'S GREAT. (you get a point for mentioning him.) I think your theories are interesting. I am having a slightly difficult time following the characters, but I'm sure if I watched the music videos maybe I'd understand more. And lastly, what is the little clip of music you used at the end called?
The songs used should be mentioned in the credits, but for the end of this specific video, it's the instrumental of Dead Man's Hand (it's not official, had to extract it with SpleeterAI)
I used spleeter. U can find tutorials to download on here. Once you have it, you can just drop an mp3 in it and it’ll make an vocals and Instrumental only each

This band was the only good thing about my life from ages 14-17, you cannot imagine how excited I am to find out this community exists
ghost and pals' music being used in a video about lord huron is giving me mental whiplash.
