I grew up near the Great Barrier Reef, when we went fishing we all knew that a Tiger Shark was never far away from the boat. I once saw an enormous black marlin in a game boat. Unusual, as they were invariably tagged and released. This fish had been attacked by a Tiger Shark, boat side, when the crew tried to remove the hook. The bite marks had removed 50 pounds of flesh each.
This is a REALLY interesting video. Sharks have been noted to eat smaller sharks by marine biologists, but it's also been noted that when multiple sharks of roughly the same size and species are all trying to eat the same thing and one gets another in it's mouth by accident, the shark will open its mouth even wider to avoid harming it's friend. They also essentially raise each other as pups, because their parents leave them in shallow mangroves to avoid eating them. The most common instance of sharks biting each other is mating, because the females mate with whatever male bites them the hardest. This clearly isn't mating because of the size difference, it's not a paternal/maternal relationship because sharks don't have that, it's not a "friendship" because of the likely difference in age, and it's not predatory because of the lack of blood and the fact that the smaller shark swims free. The fact that some people have noted that the smaller shark looks like it's being used as bait makes it even more interesting.

I had a nosebleed for a few minutes while scuba diving. A tiger shark showed up about 30 minutes later... full grown- a big boy. I was so glad to be with a group of divers. He could have killed us all, but most animals will leave you alone if you are in a pack. Solo, I'd have been a tasty treat. I love nurse sharks but anything else, no thanks.
