Thank you for this video, the end result looks divine. What a great idea to add Boursin cheese to the mashed potatoes, I think I will do this myself when I have guests for dinner. Blade cut at times seems to be a good price. I have only bought smaller size pieces of this cut such as you made from the larger one, and mostly cooked it in my slow cooker and then make a "meat soup" with it. I like it very much. My grandmother always used white pepper as it is not irritating to the stomach. It seems to taste the same and I can tolerate the white pepper, but not the black pepper.
I am glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you so much for watching and your wonderful comments. I greatly appreciate it 🙏 hope you have a wonderful weekend 🤗
Oddly enough this year I discovered how much I love a BBQ blade steak…it reminds me of a poor man’s prime rib .I don’t have a Costco membership sadly but maybe I should….(I’m a pro shopper so find everything I need on sale elsewhere usually plus I’m the only meat eater in my house)
Great dishes. I don’t see that cut where I live in the states so I’ll go with chuck roast. Also I just realized I follow 2 RUclipsrs from the same town 🇨🇦. The other creates drone video content. That area is obviously loaded with talented creators 😊.
Wondering❓could we seat the roast, cool in fridge and then freeze for later cooking. I live alone so only use 1/2 roast per prep. It would be nice to defrost and do the rest in the crockpot or oven and have that step out of the way🤷🏻♀️thoughts or knowledge greatly appreciated
I don’t see why not. I would sear it first, then let it cool down in the fridge and freeze it. Thank you for watching 🙏 I hope you have a wonderful week 🤗
Where are you located? I am in Connecticut, and I've never seen that cut of meat in Costco. Could chuck be substituted? Celery root is also not readily available.
I’m from Canada. Yes, chuck will work great for this recipe. Both chuck and blade are from the same shoulder area. Both cuts best suited for slow cooking. You can substitute celery root with parsnips, but I would reduce the amount to one cup. Thank you for watching and I hope you have a great week🤗

Thanks so very much for answering 😊.
it's a shit cut but for ~5.xx / lb (in USD), I may do it
It’s very flavourful cut, perfect for braising (slowly cooking). Thanks watching 😊
