I cannot speak to the study because I have not evaluated it, but anecdotally, from my own experience, I would say it's a farse. I took creatine supplements when younger. Noticed nothing especially remarkable outside of water weight gain. I have noticed a marked increase in my sharpness and intellectual capacity since going full vegan 5 yrs ago. I was a pescatarian for about 17yrs before that and ate a strict vegan diet for many periods throughout those years. I've been tested twice. 147 when I was around 20 and 149 more recently around 40. Not much for #gains bro, but I don't think creatine is the golden ticket. I definitely don't think meat is either. But that's just my opinion.

But were you vegan when you were taking creatine?
Taking creatine when you are already eating meat should give no noticeable gain in IQ, memory or brain function cause you are not deficient in creatine.
On the contrary if you are creatine deficient because you don't eat meat you brain function could not be optimized. You'd lose IQ point and regain them when supplemented in creatine.
