@@ClaytonMorris While I'm mostly on the same opinion you have on the Redacted, the way it is presented and packaged to me feels too much as a news channel going after the next headline. This channel however feels so genuine, especially as I have also started rediscovering the games of my my child/youth-hood just a few years ago.
I've already watched a good handful of these "gifts for gamers" in the past week and this is by far and away the best variety and quality of gifts I have come across so far. Excellent list.
Currently having the time of my life revisiting my childhood by playing my favorite Sega games like the Shining Force series. Old school turn based tactical games has always been my comfort games.
Wow I've been looking for a classic video game magazine to subscribe to, definitely will be asking for a retro gamer subscription this year. Definitely grateful for your videos, Happy Thanksgiving.
I only yesterday realized you were a gamer yourself and had a dedicated channel for it, Clayton. I'm an old dog myself but playin since the NES. *Thank you* and your wife for the amazing Redacted programming and this here cool channel to explore! Cheers from Heidelberg, Germany
Dude we were obviously separated at birth. Evercade - LOVE it, have a complete set, the MegaMan Alpha is in a box downstairs but I’m not allowed to open it until Christmas. Bitmap books - got the C64 and the Amiga ones, have the CRPG one inbound. Retro Gamer - get it every month on Kindle. Excellent video sir, keep ‘em coming.
Retro Gamer, while not cheap, is definitely a good read and worth the money. I usually pick up a copy when I'm near a Barnes & Nobles. My Xmas has more Wii and Wii U games on it than anything else.
That TMNT arcade game was one of the great arcade beat em ups for me. Another one, if you remember Michael the Simpsons srcade game, also from Konami, same concept. CRIMINALLY underrated game. Would love a souped up version to come out again.
Have to second the Retro Gamer magazine recommendation! Pricey, but worth every penny as it's a very high quality piece of work every single month. Not sure how the dudes in England are able to keep churning it out but I'm glad they do! 👍
My Xmas gaming gifts, Black Myth Wukong for modern game, Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection for retro (hurry to finally punish people online on X-Men vs Street Fighter, the source of all crossovers😁) We also have in France a magazine called Retro Gamer, i buy each one every two months (almost 45 years of gaming behind, Game & Watch Donkey Kong was my very 1st game in my life) Thanks Clayton for this guide👍
I didn’t know you like to play video games. They were quite fun and keep you out of trouble when you don’t have anything to do like I do because I’m disabled and can’t go anywhere. I can’t afford any games either. I wish I could get some of these retro games in a console Back from the super Nintendo NES and Sega Genesis game days too. I’d like to play these games on watch the old cartoons before I have to leave this world, but who am I kidding? I have a short attention span and my hands and arms hurt like crazy. Nothing is joyful anymore.
Turiky? Presents? None of those are happening here. But I did just get my Buffalo Hide which will be needed when we have to move into a tent.70 &72 years olds tend to need more warmth. We won't be having Christmas this year all our daughters are left leaning and or woke........I can't even stand their emails let alone spend time with them in person.

I think you will love it. I've been subscribing to them for years now and it's really a wonderful creation!
Can’t agree more on this recommendation. Been an avid reader and fan of RGM for many many years. Nothing like it.
I gifted myself Dragon Quest XI and Dragon Quest III remake for Switch.
Great video! Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving

I love that Bitmap included Killer Instinct

Fantastic list. I have the Evercade Alpha Mega Man Bartop on my list! The Anbernic RG35XXSP will be a perfect stocking stuffer.

Ordered a SN30 Pro for myself ! Didn’t know such a thing existed, thanks!
Those Grid Studio pieces are awesome!
Great gift guide. Very thoughtful and unique! Looks like I’ll buy myself a couple of your suggestions. 😂
Were there any Black Friday deals you just couldn’t resist?
Clayton is awesome. Thanks for the list 👍
Awesome video. I can tell you put a lot of thought into it. I’m gifting a few emulation devices to friends myself. The SP is a great choice for sure!
Thanks so much. Yeah this video took me a few weeks to compile. Appreciate your kindness.

Was that the first glimpse of the new gaming room? I miss the circular attic room!
No not yet. We won't be moving in there until about March.
Love the books!
loved this video. You should make it a recurrent format.
Great video! If you had to pick just one gaming book to pick up, which one would you suggest?
I'm looking forward to the new Bitmap Books Gameboy Advance book that comes out this week. But I guess it really depends on your console preference.
Really enjoyed this video

@@bosumrall4235 send me an email: clayton@joyofgamimg.org I have a question for you.
Will you be playing any games over Thanksgiving? Think I'll be playing some Earthbound
Oh nice choice! I'll be finishing up Dragon Quest 3.
Clayton, do you allow your friends to play your games lolol😂
picked up a RG40XX, myself. Made in China, though
I would choose Street Fighter II. Maybe it’s common, but I’ll still play it until my eyes bleed 🩸
Mega Man only shoots horizontally, so he's not very mega.
