This guy is right on. I almost became homeless. I worked all my life and a couple of bad choices and losing your job after 15 or mores on a job has devestaing effects on a person psychology. Family friends and church/ higher power are the only things that can save you.

rip Brett Saccucci once upon a time long ago, was a teenager who thought it would be a good life to join the military, which He did, he served his time on submarines, air craft carrier's, being injured from a plane clipping his head and him blacking out having a permanent scar for all his days to follow. He was stationed on the best naval beach in Virginia. He fought in no war, just served his country.
when he was discharged there was nothing out here in the civilian world for him, no benefits from the military for his injury, no house or home to live, no job waiting for him, fighting hard to obtain a job and finding a family that would love him, was all in vain he found no solace in his life, only the false lies and crazy women.
he tried to carry on with his life fought hard to get his SSDI/SSI and his military pension, he was finally getting what he deserved. I don't know what happened or when he turned to the one of the most evil drug there was, methamphetamine. "Meth" , he said he used it too lose weight, it keeps him active great nights of sex, that was the last I heard from him.
December 4th 2012 he turned 50 that day, don't know how he celebrated it, i wasn't there.
year's pass and i am doing searches on line for graves, i was floored to see his name, an obituary and a grave stone. i found this video & became emotional, tears flowed because i found out how he died. On Dec 7th he crawls into his makeshift homeless tent preparing for a cold night living on the streets of Modesto, CA, the next morning he was found in his makeshift bed on Jst. The week of December 2, 2012 through December 8, 2012 was cold all over Northern California the wind gust were about 20 mph and the minimum temp was 39 °F.
can you imagine what it felt like to go to bed & never wake up, can you see why we need to take care of our Veterans on the street. Why homelessness is a problem & the government needs to wake up.

Drugs are not expensive. Meth is the cheapest drug. Cigarettes are expensive. Alcohol is cheap. The cheapest drug and the cheapest alcohol is how the government controls the homeless. Sad to say, but why ? Think 🤔 about that for a minute.

Say no to drugs. Drug habits and smoking are expensive.

So is two to five grand a month in rent. Do the money addicted gentrifiers have a time frame for when rents will be ten to twenty grand a month?

Drug habits are not expensive. Cigarettes are expensive. Don't get fooled, the first thing a human being does is to COPE. COPING FROM TRAUMA THAT WAS NEVER RESOLVED. ADDICTION IS NOT WHAT WE HAVE BEEN TAUGHT. IT IS NOT A CHOICE ANYMORE. SCIENCE AND DOCTORS ARE JUST NOW UNDERSTANDING OUR BRAINS and how the brain 🧠 functions and coping with TRAUMATIC EVENTS. The brain will always survive. It will use any substance to function normal. When society says to stop the drug, the brain will die. How many people died and thought they were clean?
Those people didn't relapse, they actually did what society told them to do....
      Cold Turkey. Sad.
