- Till now, there is still no clear source of COVID-19 infection cause from coronavirus SARS-COV-2 but experts think it most likely did originate from bats. Because of this, all across the world, we are seeing cases where Bats are being harassed, blamed and exterminated out of fear that they can cause the infection. In this video, I interview a Chiropterologist - Rohit Chakravarty (a person who is researching specially on Bats) to clear all doubts regarding bats. Answering questions like Can Bats spread Coronavirus? Do you have to be scared of them? How dangerous are they?

His conversation with Rohit and his lone explaining part of the video are two different videos that he joined together by editing.
Look his background for both parts of the video.
He has done it to make clear the points given by Rohit to his audience.

Few weeks ago, a bat had entered my house at night and we all came to know about it the next morning. It also entered my brother's room when he was asleep and surprisingly it didn't harm him. In the morning we tried to get rid of him and we closed the gates of our hall and opened the windows so that it could leave through the windows and after sometime we couldn't find it anywhere and we thought it had left. In the evening the same bat suddenly came out of nowhere and it was flying all over in my hall. We discovered that it was under the bed during the whole afternoon. After that my father somehow managed to open the main gate and the bat left finally. I would like to conclude by saying that a bat was there in my house for almost 20 hours and it didn't even touch any member of my house. People shouldn't kill bats as they are very important to us and more importantly they are also living beings. Thanks to Dhruv for talking about this topic.

This is really helpful. A week ago there was a baby bat sleeping on my window. We simply closed the window and it went away later.
But next day we saw 10-15 bats on a tree near our house. We were worried and did not know what to do. We could only keep our doors and windows closed. Now that the concept is cleared, we are relieved
