Fast way to clear out enemies from above: Spam area with C-788 cannon (fits size 4 mounts), which has area of effect explosions, so you don't need direct hits and can kill enemies who are behind cover.

Alternatively, if you have a ship with a lot of missiles, fit as many Taskforce I's or Pioneer I's as you can and practice dumbfiring with them. Those size 1 missiles have a 14+ meter explosion radius.

A way I did this was with the redeemer. Keep the base
Loadout and just nail the place with those c788 rounds. The ship has a massive shield pool and is pretty damn tanky when only considering hull hp.
It definitely works on Hurston and MicroTech. I've been taking friends on exploration missions to help them get rare loot. It's a lot of fun to see how excited they get.
Cool, thanks for the confirmation. So, since Hurston is much bigger then Daymar, I need to see how long you need to travel to Derelict Outposts since they don't have a quantum markers. This is why I love to use my Drake Herald...it is sooo fast in atmosphere...it really saves time on those travels.
I'd been ignoring these missions as the money offered was so small but the loot and locations make them look worth a visit!
Exactly, and if you take a heavy armor with biggest backpack you can earn additional 10-15k only from gems inside each box specially on bigger derelict outposts.

@@LaPiraguaAsesina You can sell them on Mining Area 141 or Shubin Mining Facility on Daymar and you should be able to sell them on any Admin terminal in space stations like Seraphim station.
hunting medals and artefact is one of my fav pass time activity in SC !!!
U can kill them from Ship, and after u can detroy the cuttless. I´ll make these missions with my Redemeer or Andromedar. Don´t forgot to activate "A call to Arms" to get +500bugs per kill :D
Yeah, good idea, although, I kinda like the fps action, specially when server is fresh and npc' actually return fire 🙂

One suggestion: you can put Suppressors on Energy weapons as well. So if you put a Size 2 Suppressor on your Gallant Rifle, you will have less chance of detection by NPC's
Yes, usually I use my Demeco for this kind of missions, size 2 attachments are hard to find around Crusader, just went to Hurston space station and bought like 20 size 2 attachments :). @@LORDV4DERONP1LLS- Demeco for me as well, two headshots will bring nearly every NPC down and with big mags, you should never run out of ammo :)

[ Left Shift ] + [ Left Mouse Button ] instead. Much quicker!

Thank you. Herald is one of my favorite ships for this kind of missions where you need to get to the places which doesn't have a quantum markers. It is soo fast in atmosphere! Love it!

Maybe not as fun as shooting things.. but if you run between Gallete Family Farms and Bountiful Harvest on Daymar and Cellin, no missions needed, you'll have all the tool variants and a TON of other crap fast! I go to one location, server hop it, move to other location, server hop, rinse and repeat. In a couple of hours of doing this, you'll have pages and pages of guns, armor, tools... you can also store the stuff at the location's local inventory and come pick up at your leisure. o7

If your ship gets destroyed and the pirate cutlass has landed just go over and take out the 4 guys in the back, relieve the pilot of his duty and fly that home. It will usually have the ramp open, but can be blasted open if not. I've also ran past the 4 guys sitting in the back and not had them react to me if they are all still sitting. And can always run a few bounties with it before ditching it and make use of the NPC turret gunner. I've heard that players have problems with landing zones having the pirate gunner in the turret. But I have landed at space stations and New Babbage with the NPC pirate gunner no problem.
Yeah, I've tried just that in the mission where live player destroyed my ship. NPC Cutlass landed and I had a plan of killing them, take their ship and leave the place after looting. The ramp was open and I tried to shoot one of the guards sitting inside...big mistake...bullets don't go through ships shields :D...they stood up and start firing on me, but then...live player comes back and destroys the NPC Cutlass :D. I think problem was that this specific Derelict Outpost was near Brio Breaker Yard, and someone saw my ship and npc Cutlass on their radar and decide to take them out :D Brio Brakers Yard can be dangerous place sometimes. Anyway, thank you for your comment and suggestions. Will try that next time for sure.
@@LORDV4DERONP1LLS Yeah that is a detail I forgot. Gotta just run in past them and then take them out from the other room. They never seem to react in time. Two will drop right there and two will teleport to the turret tunnel and not be lootable. And I'm realizing I've gotten my ship blown up and had to do this to get home way too many times doing these missions..... LOL
I just want to run past the 4 guys, kill the pilot, set the self destruct and run back out again, that too me just sounds like a hilarious bit of fun…I can even hear their conversation…hey bob, you know that guy, Nah must be a newbie or something, look there he goes again, he just ran outta the ship, yeah bob, these new kids don’t like…..boooom !! Hehe
Thanks for this cool guide! I also like such missions with a mixture of different activities. As for this one, there is also a tip: if your own ship got destroyed by Cutlas... Well, you can hijack the Cutlass to at least get back to station) Or, this mission by itself can be a reliable mean to obtain this ship in early-game for what-ever purposes.
Hey, thank you. I am really glad you like the video. Yeah I tried to hijack the Cutlass but same guy that destroyed my ship, also destroyed Cutlass too. Problem was that this derelict location was too close to Brio Breaker Yard which sometimes can be under the pirate control.
I was unaware of these missions! Gotta go, love collecting stuff like these in games. Also the FPS combat is fun! Encountered a Cutty Backup ship during a normal 'retrieve black box' mission and found it rather cool that I could engage in FPS while clearing the wreck then randomly encounter further enemies.

This was super helpful to help me get all my multitools, haven't had a single armor or weapon box sadly but overall im so happy. Also careful of players who go around these places just to pk because many times they are lawless areas.
Thank you for your thoughts and comments, yeah there is one derelict outpost on Daymar near Brio Breaker Yard...that is a dangerous one(in the video my Herald was destroyed there) because live players on Brio Breaker Yard waits for those who are coming to sell cargo. Not sure if anyone said this already, but a quick way to transfer your loot is shift + left click. 😊 Nice vid btw.
Thank you :). Yeah, I am trying to utilize that for a two days now...just today started to finally use that "left shift" option...every time I automatically start to transfer with with my mouse. Need to get used to that left shift + click :D

Is there a way to quickly check what loot is rare?
Hi there, thank you for your comments and thoughts. Regarding a rare loot I am not sure that there is a way where you can quickly check what is rare in game. Usually you will get the feeling about what is rare after you spend some time in Star Citizen Universe. For example, Citadel heavy armor is removed from game stores and can be found only in loot boxes which makes it super rare. UEE Badge is also a unique and super rare, last time I was able to find is was 3.17 patch...after that no trace to that badge anymore.
I always avoid these missions ... but now I think I may try them out.
Honestly, I like to play them from time to time. Love the Reclaimer interior in these missions!
I play this mission on MT, but I use my Harbinger to strafe the site. No need for FPS...(then I sit there in the turret of the Harbi with Neutron Repeaters and kill the AI ship)

Thanks for your comment. For now these medals and artifacts are just a stuff that you can sell(for a small amount of money) or display it inside of your ships. Soon we should have a persistent hangars and that is where I will display all my artifacts and medals in future.
Man that’s so cool however dying randomly to something unexpected or a glitch and your body goes through the map just kills the collection of stuff for me :/
Hi, thanks for your comment. I personally can't say that I have problems with dying by the bugs or glitches on the derelict outposts but yeah...when your own dead body fall through the planet is really annoying! Hope they will fix this soon.
I use a sniper rifle at derelict outposts to take out the NPCs, and a rail gun to take out the NPC Cutlass. I have found as much as 17,000 worth of gems at an outpost, making the total job worth more than 20k.
Nice way to do the mission. I need to get myself a rail gun? Is rail gun now a loot item or can still be purchased in stores? Sniper rifle makes it too easy for me so I rather take some risk with standard rifle(so that people who love medic gamplay have something to do while saving my ass) 😉. But yeah, I need to try this with a rail gun. Thanks for the idea 😉
@@LORDV4DERONP1LLS I found the rail guns doing bunker missions, or they can be found at Bountiful Harvest. It's a rare find. I bought a Cutty just so I can clone them.
@@AlBTross11 Bountiful Harvest on Daymar? Need to check that. I dont remember I've ever found a weapon in loot boxes anywhere except in bunkers. Maybe I am mistaken. Will try this today. Problem is that boxes in bunkers are already looted when I come to clear the bunkers.
If you equip a suppressor to your weapons, you will not take as much fire from the NPC's / Players (if there).

For this I put a Tumbril Transport with a large container in the back in my 400i. You mentioned you sell loot to other players. How do you do that?
Good idea with large container inside of a Tumbril Transport...When you have rare stuff which players like to buy, you offer your rare things in game chat. When someone wants to buy for example a rare rail gun, you tell them the price and when someone transfer the money to your wallet, you just give them the gun or anything else you want to sell. Of course you both need to be close to each other so that you can physically give someone stuff you want to sell.

How often have you found Citadel armor in the boxes, I think it's easily one of the cooler looking armors in game and I'd like to collect it.
Very rarely found in loot boxes...I've managed to find chest piece and arms once...you will have much more chance with drugs related bunker missions! Just watch my latest video on how to aquire Citadel armor 😉

No, just be around Crusader when you take Retrieve OP mission. Daymar have really cool derelict outposts. I didn't try Hurston and Microtech outposts but Daymar has great one. Just take several mission in a row and you will eventually get to the big ones too. As soon asn you loot everything, deliver the box and imediately take another mission.
How to get the retrieval ops mission to show up in your missions list?
It should appear by default. You just need to wait for a while, or try to change server if you can't see the mission. I usually have one or two Retrieval missions under delivery contracts. One is for 8000auec and second is 12000auec. I think best planet for these missions is Crusader, so try to be around Crusader if possible.

if your not the best shot, try bringing a snipe rifle with enough ammo, the npc's can't look very far.
Sniper makes it too easy for me 🙂

Tried those retrieval missions and they were a huge disappointment. Tried them on all planets, the majority of outposts only have a few boxes with food and multi tools. Very rarely you can find boxes with armor, and of dozen such boxes I have seen rare helmet only once.
It seems that by doing usual FPS bunkers you can get much more armor from red loot boxes.
I have more luck on derelict outposts then in bunkers to be honest. Lately almost every bunker I run into is already completely looted so every red box I run into can't be opened because it is already looted. I got way more armor pieces from outposts, just need to take several missions in a row...there are bigger and smaller outpost out there. I think Daymar are the best one.

"As you can see, these NPC's are quite good" -> all NPC's standing still even tho teammates are dying just in front of them. Try shooting them this exposed with the new AI with a server fps of +25, you will not survive guaranteed.
I agree...testing this in current 3.22 ptu patch and yeah, AI is a lot better and faster then before. Still there is place for improvement but this will probably come later.

LOL more like yeah you CAN loose things in SC but it's so easy to get it's literally nothing to lose a kit. The risk/rewards makes it not matter in the least. Now lose a slick/m4 kit in Tarkov and feel the pain. They really need to adjust that risk/award away from elite dangerous private mode to Rust or Tarkov levels.
Yeah, only if they wipe. If there is no wipe, all your stuff stays in your inventory. I know things are not perfect in SC, but I like to give myself tasks and stuff to accomplish nevertheless.

As a new player this was incredibly helpful. I get more out of the guide in this format that I would in a 2 minute video. Also just appreciate this video likely took 3-4 hours to create.

Ok jasonteohjto, I appreciate everyone's opinion. You have right to have one but to be honest, I don't like your expression of a "trashy clickbait video". Sorry mate, I need around 5-8 hours to create a video like this one, plus thumbnail, music choice and stuff, titles, etc. I create this videos and title in a way that I ask myself..."would you click and watch this if you see it on RUclips". What is important is that my content supports the title. It is not a misleading title which has nothing to do with video content. I promised a cool mission for rare loot and I delivered that information through the video. Could I've done it in 2 minutes? Sure...but why I have created additional gameplay, well...because I myself would watch video like this. I am watching videos like this one. Why? Because I am interested in a way other people solve the problems, I love to see what ships they are flying, what guns they are using...you know? How they play certain things in Star Citizen. I am interested in all that stuff and that is why I am creating videos in this way. Of course that everyone can watch a minute or two until they get the info they want. I believe that new players will watch more then experienced ones. That is on them and I am totally fine with that. Main thing is that they need to get that info. And that is something I will always provide in my videos. I don't have anything against a good critique and suggestions, just don't get to personal by insulting me or my work in any way. What can you the alien stuff for and the collor stuff?
For now they are just an artefacts which dont have any special purpose, but it is cool to have them 😀.
Why people would purchase anything in this game for real money is beyond me.. When a game is in "alpha" for over ten years, when the devs refuse to address any problems, when the techs refuse to assist or help players in any way form or fashion, supporting this game or its creators only empowers them to continue to treat its player base like crap. You are the ones to blame. You are the ones who allow them to feel as if people will continue to play and pay for their bullshit.
I suggest that you find a game that you love and enjoy to play. Don't bother with what other people love and spend their money on. You have absolutely no right to tell me or anyone else what I need to do in my life, or how to support something I believe in. If you really think all that you said about Star Citizen, then don't waste your energy on trying to figure why other people have different opinion then yours. Every time you make a comment like this you wasted your time and changed absolutely nothing. Crazy speed in atmosphere really helps save some time on travels to a places which don't have a quantum markers like derelict outposts or sand caves for example. Btw thank you for confirmation.
