As im watching more of this Im liking it more and more. I think the game does have a lot of potential and I cant wait for a few months from now when it comes out on console!
Opposite for me. The fact that you never lose your lures and you can just cut your line whenever you want as he did in the beginning of the video, the splashing animation of the line in the water as you reel in, how incredible easy it seems to catch fish, even trophy fish..the fish looks like animatronics in the water, Sometimes the jump animation can be cool, other times it looks stupid as hell, and the fact the fish just suddenly hovers with half its body out of the water.. Idk man it just feels very very arcadey to me
@@ZuNk Don't forget the zombies that don't blink holding the caught fish for the camera shot. Graphics for the most part look like crap too, especially the water.. so bland looking.
@@ZuNk it’s supposed to be kinda arcadey like call of the wild is.. so it doesn’t seem slow or ever hard/boring ? so i dont see a problem with that. because iv watched fishing planet streams before and that game seems very quiet and boring 🥴 js

My main problem with game is the endless winding once you flick the lure out I'd like too see the come in an recast Great fight
Have you figured out if water temperature has any impact in this game ? I notice the catch summary screen specifically shows the water temperature as if it's important to know.

I was going for a diamond pike at the first location using a size 3 swim bait and ended up reeling in a diamond musky lol 😂

The swimbait pike looks like a size 1 and the spinner pike I can't tell from the color. I'm guessing he likes size 1 for pike

where is your location on the map?
2 things i really dislike,
1 The floats sits still in running rivers
2 The clutch system just doesn't work properly, almost impossible to know what the rod/reel/fish is doing, sometimes i see the fish running and im in the grey, it turns around and runs towards me and it goes into the red ?,
Ive also had a 2kg rod/ 2kg reel/ 2kg line, yet at 50% clutch im breaking lines ?, i should be able to go to 95% regardless of the fish,
And the worst is when the line is in grey, yet it wont reel in ?

You should do a challenge with other content creators to see who could catch the biggest fish on the lightest tackle

Distance is way off. That pike was near 40 meters out but that entire pond looked like it was about 20-25 meters end to end. Makes no sense.

It doesn't work for me..Pc/offline...Max. silver pike... I don't know the size of the lures used, it's missing in the video. But only small or nothing
I like to use a #3 swim bait and I have caught 3 diamond tiger muskie there one being 28lbs

I feel like you should be able to go into the game, and choose what tackle you want to catch what certain fish you want. which is what theyre trying to do, but it seems like from watching other videos, that any fish can and will bite any bait. no matter the size. which is unlikely
Yeah it's kinda cringy watching this as a irl fisherman. I've seen some RUclipsrs catching golden trout with bait and I just go "those fish don't eat bait." Golden trout are not habituated to bait, at least not where they are found natively in the Sierra Nevada in California. They will eat either a fly or spinner, and they definitely won't go after spinnerbaits or paddle tail soft baits.
This game is a bit rough around the edges, but its a good start. They should change it so you need to use the right lure or bait for the fish you are after. This alone, despite the arcade-y mechanics some people call it, would go a long way into making the fishing better even if EW doesn't make it more "sim-like" or whatever.

My biggest diamond pike was around 38lb 😊
First and foremost I dont fish in real life. But holy moly have I been enjoying the game. Its really friendly for newbs and is also quite educational.
One thing I notice that turns ppl away this game is the starter gear. It sucks. You can barely catch anything with it. So you need to get stronger gear asap to bring more fish.
A few things my fishing friends would like to see.
Losing a line should lose your bait.
Possible chance of breaking your rod.
Rod and gear durability
More fish characteristics in the water and on line.
More gear, vehicle, boat upgrades.
Monster fish!
Stamina bar for fish and player
More vendors. AI Fisherman.
Can be lonely out there.
Cant wait to see what more the devs bring.

they should add the ultimate fishing lodge where you get fish and automatically goes in the lodge even if you release them

it's kind of funny to me to see a diamond northern pike in this game is 20+lb and then look up my states record (KY) northern pike is 10.53lb lol

I feel like this game was released too quickly maybe to take the wind out of WOTH sails don’t know. It has potential it needs some work. I’m probably not gonna buy it yet till they give it a little more love
To me, the game so far looks like an average arcade game with mobile phone mechanics and lots of bugs. Could also be an early alpha version, only it's being sold at full price. When I buy a game at full price, I don't want to have to rely on all the bugs and mechanics, etc still being reworked.
