Update.. Just got it! Thank you very much! For me at that time it was closer to the dock where you get a boat in this area, with #2 swimbait at x2 speed about 2pm ingame time.
Still a "hotspot' after all this time :)

It takes time. I have days where I get two or three, and days where I get zero. Diamonds are difficult. #2 Swimbait, Constant technique, 3x speed. Just keep at it and you'll get one, if you haven't already.

Actually, I have upwards to 20 Diamond Pike at this exact location, including in 2024 after the spawn refresh. Try harder?
