  • Watch as I sew an everday jacket with flat felled seams. No need for a lining or your serger! 🎉 This is the West End Jacket, a free pattern available via Peppermint Magazine (link below).
    I'll show you how I've constructed this jacket from start to finish -- from the patch pockets to the flat felled seams.
    This design is made for woven fabrics. I have used a medium weight cotton.

    Wonderful video. I really like that you get right to the point of sewing. You demonstrate all the steps and don't waste the viewer's time with endless chatter. Thank you for all the great videos you bring to us.

    Thank you so much for the tutorial! Now I have the confidence to start my own. However, I would like to round the bottom of the patch pockets to match the collar.

    Thank you for this video. It definitely is giving me the confidence to give this piece a try. Just curious, what type of fabric did you use and what other fabrics do you recommend for this jacket?

      @Sew-Happy  Месяц назад

      @@MelDeNicola definitely give it a try! 💕 I used a heavier weight cotton/linen blend. I would recommend linen, flannel, broadcloth or even a stable knit like ponte or French terry.

    Really love this video. I had been planning on making what I would call a shacket. I recently purchased one from Orvis that is wonderful, but expensive, made with a wide wale corduroy. I think this is the pattern I'll use to try to make one at home. Thank you again for your videos.

      Yes, no need to buy one with so many great patterns to choose from. 😉 this one would be very easy to line as well -- I'm thinking a lush and fuzzy fur lining. ❤️
      Have fun sewing your lovely new creation. 🪡

    Thank you for the video! Your work is amazing. Do you have a way to send you a gift? I would love to support your work and I noticed from your video that you’re in need of some new sharp pins.
