  • Watch as I sew a great flannel jacket with plenty of pockets. I have chosen to serge and topstitch my seams in this video, but if you would like to create flat-felled seams, reference this video:

    This is such a well done tutorial. You are a wonderful teacher. The way you first describe what you will be doing then show how you did it…makes it so clear. Thank you. I have already downloaded this pattern. ❤

    I found the lower pockets to narrow. They looked weird for my larger size. I took them off but it's not much better
    However, your video gave me the idea to try again with the fabric on the bias. Might just do the trick.

    Sheesh! Another damn good video! Just wow. Say, you know how to do an FBA? I've yet to read an article or watch a tutorial that has made that make sense to me. I think my sewing sucks so bad because I can't get the dang garments to fit over the knockers. It's way too tight when I size using my high bust. And it's all sloppy looking when I use my regular bust. 😭

      Thank you so much for the nice comment. Glad you like the video.
      I have never done an FBA myself, but I have referred people to this article --

      Also, don't know if you are familiar with Cashmerette Patterns? Their patterns are lovely and cater primarily to sewists with bigger boobs. :)

      @@Sew-Happy - Thanks for the Ellie & Mac link. I'll step through it; hopefully, it will be my light bulb moment. Fingers crossed. Thanks for the Cashmerette suggestion too; I hadn't heard of them.

    I'm suprised the neck edge wasn't stay stitched to stop it from going out of shape. Most patterns call for that

    • @Sew-Happy
      @Sew-Happy  6 месяцев назад +1

      You are correct. I always skip stay stitching 🤭

    Thank you so much for this i plan on making it later today im a guy and would it be possible to place the buttons on the opposite side? And what sizing would be good for a male medium ? Im guessing a female large ?

    • @Sew-Happy
      @Sew-Happy  5 месяцев назад

      Awesome -- yes, definitely you can switch the buttons and buttonholes. For sizing, you can check out their size chart and use your chest measurement as bust measurement. :)
