You do an excellent job explaining the whys of what you're doing as you work. It's hugely helpful for those of us with less experience under their belts. Thank you for that.
Glad to see that you did the wiring channel cut before you glued the top to the back. So many videos I have watched where some one was building a guitar that has a top and back that they just glue them together. Then when it comes to making the wiring channel they risk drilling either through the top or back to make the channel when it would be safer and quicker to just rout it before the two pieces are glued together.
Love the way it is coming along. I have an idea for a future build if possible, follow me if you can. take like 6 to 8 different kinds of wood and make a laminated body similar to what you did here but the pieces would be thinner and more like a laminated neck fliped sideways. Make a V and bevel the points to reveal most of the layers. Maybe like 5 layers, flame maple top, walnut, purple heart, paduka, and maybe walnut or maple for the back. I'm a huge fan of bevels and laminated wood like a lot of bass neck throughs are made. Don't see many sculpted Vs. Love the PRS inspired idea, some of the most beautiful mass produced guitars have PRS on the headstock.
Well made video and a good glue up.
Thank you. I do need to get more creative in my video editing though.

Many thanks. No expert by any means but it is nice to put something out there that will help some one avoid the mistakes I have made!

Agreed! So much easier to do it first. I keep a checklist at hand to make sure I don't get in a hurry and miss a step.
I agree, great work! And love the PRS design. Cheers Bill, all of your guitars look very professionally built and finished.
Many thanks :)
Starting to take shape, and I can't wait to see it come together!
Thanks BK. Can't wait to see what the wood reveals as it is carved!
nice work Bill.
can't wait to see you carve that down.
Many thanks. The best part is seeing what the wood grain does as it is carved.
Nice work Bill, super clean glue up 👍
Thanks Gio, Looking forward to seeing what you do this year.
