I really appreciate this guide. Playing the game again except on PS4. This saves me a lot of time and effort trying to track these down. Unlike other videos, you also show the locations around where you need to go in case people haven't found the exact spot yet.
For those who are playing the game currently, the key you loot from the solitude fletcher doesnt work anymore. You have to talk to Falk Firebeard in the blue palace, he'll tell you to clear out wolfskull cave, then you have to do a mini quest for jarl elisif were you take king torygg's horn to the shrine of talos. Then finally you become Thane lf solitude and you can buy proudspire manor from Falk Firebeard
The irony of this quest is that, by the time you have completed it, you're most likely so stupidly rich anyway that the additional gold the perk will make you is irrelevant. Who cares if you have a couple hundred thousand gold. You're never gonna spend it all anyway, since there's nothing TO spend it on. Money is only an issue in the early stages of the game and this quest is so long and takes you all over the place that it's impossible to do it and not be at a decent level with a large stash of valuables waiting to be sold already at your disposal. Unless you ignore loot on purpose, but you shouldn't have to handicap yourself just so you could make use of one perk.
Yes, that gold and an extra two million from all the flawless diamonds I get every other urn I find. NOT WORTH IT DONT DO IT! JK this is amazing the piece of shit above me is just a... piece of shit.
Kyle Zaruba Yes, congratulations. You now have millions of gold and nothing to spend it on, because the most expensive items that you can buy en masse will set you back a few thousand gold. You spent hours collecting gems on a journey that took you all over Skyrim. During those journeys, you found countless other goodies that made you even more money such that by the time you complete the crown and receive the perk, the trouble you went through of completing the crown will already have left you so rich, you can literally buy anything you ever need. But no, you need to become even richer so you can... not spend that gold because again... what are you possibly going to spend it on? Unless, as I already mentioned, you specifically ignore all other loot while hunting for the crown pieces, but doing that is either for completionists or idiots. There is such a thing as being too rich. Who cares if you have 3 million gold. You can never hope to spend that much on stuff you'll actually use/want. At this point, you're just throwing money away for the sake of decadence and showing off. Once you go over a certain amount of cash in most games, it literally becomes useless and you just resort to spending it on stuff you don't really need or want, but you buy it anyway, just because you can and you have nothing better to do with it. There's no actual usefulness to it, anymore.
+Xylarxcode I didn't need the money either (I was around 100,000 when I finally finished this quest), but the rare gems make it super easy to level up your smithing. Use transmute ore to get a bunch of gold ore, then combine it with all the gems you get to make jewelry. The exp you make from smithing is based off the value of the item, so gold jewelry is the fasted way to level it.
Perhaps the money can be used as a leveling perk after you've done this on adept? Then u go legendary and just buy 100 in all slots from trainers* eh?EH!!??
Xylarxcode The Prowlers Profit is an unbelievably useful perk, you can get speech 1-100 from buying and selling the same expensive loot to merchants over and over using all them jewels as currency. You can make Gold necklaces at a forge to get smithing up to 100 in no time once you have a stack of Iron ore and transmute..... you just never utilized the potential for this perk.

Their easy to come by when you're not trying to get them, but I made a new a new character and just avoided them till I killed Needed, completed vanilla and all DLC and now lvl 46
I have 23/24 and I've been over the list. I'm sure I've grabbed all of them. So I've somehow missed one and now I need to just search every location. Fml
This quest is absolutely worth it in the long run if you're trying to build a strong coffer. Completing it8 significantly raises the amount of jewels you find everywhere. Very cool
Want a supremely easier version of this guide, ready? Ok, go to the first easy to get locations that don't require a quest line or joining a faction shown in this guide, then when you find a stone, go into sneak mode, hover the cursor/cross-hairs over the stone then click/press the button to take/steal as fast as you can. If you can squeeze off 3 taps/clicks per second, the game will reward you with 2-3 additional stones. You should be able to finish the quest much faster and it won't glitch the quest. Have fun, play responsibly. :p

For the Proudspire manor just complete the 2 quest to be able to buy the Proudspire manor and when you go to buy it and he ask if you want it for 25k say ill take it and as soon as you do that exit out of the conversation and put your gold in the cupboard that is by him and hell give you the key and you wont lose money
I just discovered that you can skip all that collecting. You just go to the final cave, clip through the rocks, grab the crown, clip again to get out and then go to Vex. She will take the crown and the quest will be completed. You gain the prowler's profit and the crown will apear in the guild with all the gems
Thank You for this video, excellent job. It was easy to follow because You didn't get side tracked. I had 23 of them and I couldn't find the last one. I thought I had been to every location, because I have played other characters through this Quest before. I had forgotten that I hadn't taken a nap yet. I'm glad that your tutorial had The Brotherhood quest at the semi-beginning of the video instead of being the last one to wrap it up. Thanks Again!!
Any excitement I felt about discovering the first few of those tiny boxed bastards disappeared when I realized that 1) they didnt stack properly, and 2) they were weighing me down and couldn't be removed from my inventory for storage. If I'd found this video sooner, it would've saved me a lot of constipation! Also: thank god for mods.
This vid is pretty old, but for anyone seeing this, if you can click or tap fast enough you can get 2 or even 3 stones from 1. It doesn't glitch the quest either ( i just learned that this glitch doesn't not on xbox 360 or ps3, sorry)
Diamond Rocks 22 they could have done so much with it because say u had to wear it to have prowlers profit on u but it also had a light armor rating and a bonus to sneak or something of the sort because idk about u but after a while I never want to see another gem again lol
Volkun Jun the effect is still active it just does not show up because after the quest I got way more gems than before and then stacked on top of the treasure hunter perk means that gems are pretty much everywhere.
Anyone wondering about the stealth; You don't even need max sneak level and you break combat every time you crouch when you're wearing a combination of Daedra Artifact Ebony Mail (preferably a Light Armor to tie in with Light Armor Set Bonus), Dark Brotherhood Gloves, Thieves/Nightingale/Predator's Grace Boots. You don't need the Ebony-Mail Chest Piece, you can use something with another enchant other than Muffle if you have boots with Muffle, and you can use Diadem of the Savant circlet to improve armor rating and scaling, or Aetherial Crown in order to take on 2 Standing Stone abilites, ie. mixtures of Steed Stone & Warrior Stone & Thief Stone and Lover Stone, or damage reducing Stones such as Atronarch Stone and Lord Stone.

A fun guide to get your sneak skill max like this is go to the throat of the mountain (Where the grey beards live) and just start knifing them behind they're back or they will attack and make sure to use your skill point to where it starts to deal 15 to 30x the original damage as more damage equals better leveling up faster.
You have no idea how much this has helped! I've had 23/24 for two years! But I finally found the last one thanks to your video. The one I didn't have was next to a dragon word wall and I assumed I got it haha. :)
Ethan Wimer if I had to guess I'd say you might have been arrested or something and they confiscated it as stolen so I'd look in the contraband chests in all the holds I hope that helps

14:30 - For anyone who wants to avoid combat, bring 3 or 4 invisibility potions, take the path off to the east, and go north until you're can see the back of the house. There will be a single guard there, guarding a door. Wait until the guard walks over to the guard tower. Then either take a potion or hope he doesn't come back too soon, sneak up to the door, pick the lock, then down a(nother) potion, then make your way to the bedroom. There will be a single guard there, so wait until he gets up to patrol, then snatch the gem, take another potion and GTFO.
For those who are wondering why the solitude Fletcher key won't work for proudspire manor look at the description. There is a way to get the house for free though
Also, failed pickpocketing that guy, ended up sneaking and killing him only to find out that I have to buy the Proudspire Manor because that key doesn't work😂
I never got all 24 so I decided to watch this video because I was curious about the reward. So... I get more gems from chests? really? That is so useless and boring for such a hard quest.
Arthur Mortari almost every urn and sack contains flawless gems worth thousands. Buy gold and silver to make infinite jewelry and sell it for more. Infinite money and smithing skill is what it did for me.
I literally only picked these things up once...That’s right ONCE... completed the entire quest for one reason. To get these damn stones out of my inventory!!! 😂🤣😂
Tyler Frazier I went threw 3 Nordic ruins and looted everything dead dragur chests and urns and even with the theibes guild restored meaning roughly 7500 in the flagon with tonelia and the other shops and a dramora merchant from the black books in the dragonborn dlc including an additional 2000 so 9500 in total it took me a month and a half in game to sell it all waiting 2 days to every sale to get their gold back so I wanna say it hot about 110k or so just with gems so if u were to do it with a low level character (which in theory u could do thos at level 1) u would never want for money u would just not want to see anymore gems lol
@@volkunjun9850 get the transmute spell and the gem perk and it helps your smithing alot the gold doesn't hurt either you get and the selling jewelry works great aswell

If you don’t have enough money for the house, use the glitch where you use the time slow shout while buying it. But make sure to be next to a chest or something so you can quickly put your gold in there. Also you better save the game before doing it
Thought I would add this on my 6th play through of the game.. I started this round today in getting the stones before anything else. Yes there was some play though to get them all, but I did the minimum. What I really wanted to share was that when I went to vex, I had only 23 stones and she’s still sent me on the mission for the crown. The stone missing was the proudspire manor stone. I got the crown and went back to vex, then the quest was complete and I was given the prowler profit perk. The crown sits at the guild and I am reaping gems. After seeing this I am wondering if I could get away with 22 gems, or 21 gems. The proudspire gem is the only one you need to pay for really, I wonder if Bethesda made it an optional stone on purpose..
I've never understood what is the point of this quest... We get 24 gems scattered all around the continent and when all of them are collected the reward is a buff that give additional gems from containers and mobs. The stupid thing about it is the only way to get it legitly without cheating with walkthrough using is to just look in all houses in all cities and then clear every dungeon you see so at the point you get all the gems you have became so wickedly rich that money does not matter anymore. If you didn't managed to get so rich you will be so high leveled already that one enchanted item from a dungeon will take all the money of a merchant when you sell it so gems are completely unimportant.
Yay! I have tried to complete the no stone unturned quest for so long! I must have missed the pines watch one even though I've already cleared it! I've had 23/24 for so long and this video helped me to finally beat it. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Yea, but that'll work only for the 20% of the Skyrim players on PC. The large majority of the players, the 80% dont have mods on Xbox360 and Ps3 (about 50% of all sold Skyrim copies are on Xbox360, 30% on Ps3).

Anyone wondering about the stealth; You don't even need max sneak level and you break combat every time you crouch when you're wearing a combination of Daedra Artifact Ebony Mail (preferably a Light Armor to tie in with Light Armor Set Bonus), Dark Brotherhood Gloves, Thieves/Nightingale/Predator's Grace Boots. You don't need the Ebony-Mail Chest Piece, you can use something with another enchant other than Muffle if you have boots with Muffle, and you can use Diadem of the Savant circlet to improve armor rating and scaling, or Aetherial Crown in order to take on 2 Standing Stone abilites, ie. mixtures of Steed Stone & Warrior Stone & Thief Stone and Lover Stone, or damage reducing Stones such as Atronarch Stone and Lord Stone.

A fun guide to get your sneak skill max like this is go to the throat of the mountain (Where the grey beards live) and just start knifing them behind they're back or they will attack and make sure to use your skill point to where it starts to deal 15 to 30x the original damage as more damage equals better leveling up faster.

Ethan Wimer if I had to guess I'd say you might have been arrested or something and they confiscated it as stolen so I'd look in the contraband chests in all the holds I hope that helps

14:30 - For anyone who wants to avoid combat, bring 3 or 4 invisibility potions, take the path off to the east, and go north until you're can see the back of the house. There will be a single guard there, guarding a door.
Wait until the guard walks over to the guard tower. Then either take a potion or hope he doesn't come back too soon, sneak up to the door, pick the lock, then down a(nother) potion, then make your way to the bedroom.

For those who are wondering why the solitude Fletcher key won't work for proudspire manor look at the description. There is a way to get the house for free though
Also, failed pickpocketing that guy, ended up sneaking and killing him only to find out that I have to buy the Proudspire Manor because that key doesn't work😂

Arthur Mortari almost every urn and sack contains flawless gems worth thousands. Buy gold and silver to make infinite jewelry and sell it for more. Infinite money and smithing skill is what it did for me.

Tyler Frazier I went threw 3 Nordic ruins and looted everything dead dragur chests and urns and even with the theibes guild restored meaning roughly 7500 in the flagon with tonelia and the other shops and a dramora merchant from the black books in the dragonborn dlc including an additional 2000 so 9500 in total it took me a month and a half in game to sell it all waiting 2 days to every sale to get their gold back so I wanna say it hot about 110k or so just with gems so if u were to do it with a low level character (which in theory u could do thos at level 1) u would never want for money u would just not want to see anymore gems lol
@@volkunjun9850 get the transmute spell and the gem perk and it helps your smithing alot the gold doesn't hurt either you get and the selling jewelry works great aswell

If you don’t have enough money for the house, use the glitch where you use the time slow shout while buying it. But make sure to be next to a chest or something so you can quickly put your gold in there.

Thought I would add this on my 6th play through of the game.. I started this round today in getting the stones before anything else. Yes there was some play though to get them all, but I did the minimum. What I really wanted to share was that when I went to vex, I had only 23 stones and she’s still sent me on the mission for the crown. The stone missing was the proudspire manor stone. I got the crown and went back to vex, then the quest was complete and I was given the prowler profit perk. The crown sits at the guild and I am reaping gems. After seeing this I am wondering if I could get away with 22 gems, or 21 gems. The proudspire gem is the only one you need to pay for really, I wonder if Bethesda made it an optional stone on purpose..

I've never understood what is the point of this quest...
We get 24 gems scattered all around the continent and when all of them are collected the reward is a buff that give additional gems from containers and mobs. The stupid thing about it is the only way to get it legitly without cheating with walkthrough using is to just look in all houses in all cities and then clear every dungeon you see so at the point you get all the gems you have became so wickedly rich that money does not matter anymore. If you didn't managed to get so rich you will be so high leveled already that one enchanted item from a dungeon will take all the money of a merchant when you sell it so gems are completely unimportant.
Yep. I did that now with over 195000 gold and at lvl 61 plus hundreds of gems that I just squirell away for the bullshit of it. Friggin sucks
