Best British film in last 10 years. Loved working on it and loved watching it. Genuine fun, family atmosphere on set and lead characters were all approachable and conversational. I played about 6 different characters but not all made it to the final cut. Best job of my life!
Ahh that's amazing! Which characters did you play that made the cut? I wasn't there but I agree the atmosphere would have been a family one bc at that point the '6 idiots' - as people lovingly call them - had been best friends and working together for about 5 years (since 2009). They've now been besties/working together for 14 years, and it shows. They're all amazingly lovely. It shows; I met Ben & Larry (King Phillip & Francis Walsingham) after a livs podcast event where 400 people turned out to see them. They didn't have to stay outside in the cold for 2 plus hours from 10pm meeting 400 people (and chatting, signing things, taking photos/videos/hugging fans - I got a hug from Ben) when they have wives & young kids to get back to, and that they chose to, and choose to after a lot of their events, says everything you need to know about them ❤ I haven't met the rest but I'm sure they're just as lovely

Apologies: it wasn't, somebody important died, so they switched it to yesterday. Actually Helen McCrory was one of the important people, and they were showing lots of her appearances as a tribute. I actually think she was pretty good in this one...still...
Only discovered this yesterday and had to hunt down the movie. Wonderful stuff as always from the HH crew, funny as hell with some lovely moments of pathos thrown in, and Matt and Martha have wonderful chemistry (but we've known that since Mr Roman and Mrs Celt) and the kiss was actually kinda swoony. Can't wait for Ghosts Season 2.

Because it is a film set in Tudor England? Spain was powerful and had previously tried to attack England so was seen as a threat. Not to mention it was Catholic which to Protestant England at the time was evil. Of course Elizabeth would send support to those rebelling against an enemy nation. Why would anyone in Tudor England not see him as a villain?

"We didn't really do... a great deal of research on King Philip"
Marvellous stuff.

I only discovered this recently. It’s fantastic!

Would that our present ''plague'' would spawn someone like ''Bill''.
It's not a plague. It's barely a pandemic. Still, we might get a Shakespeare out of it.

I LUV MAT 😍😍
"what is the score, your Majesty?"
"Juice"
Where can I watch it? I can't find it anywhere. Any help pls?
You can watch it for free on prime video
i found the whole thing on lookmovie.com !! can’t say how safe it is but i’ve been using it for a while and nothing bad has happened yet :))
Thank you 🙏
I would so love that song of Mortal Coil at the beginning on Spotify
Does anyone know where I can watch this, stream it, buy it, in English from Germany? I am not interested in a dubbed version.
if you've got a VPN you can watch it on BBC iPlayer
Is this, at all, available in a US format???!?
i am confused which Phillip is Ben playing? Elizabeth's former brother-in-law or his son? Cause Phillip II was older than Elizabeth..
Phillip II, King of Spain. No relation to Elizabeth, Queen of England
