If you want to know how they are in the studio, check out The Recording of Evergreen. They are like one unit. It's crazy how they well they work together and how they interact as friends. I think you'd really get a better understanding of who they are as a family. Mitch, Kirstie and Scott have known each other since they were little kids. Their transitions are sick! Lol. Check out their cover of Imagine. John Lennon would be proud.
I'd love to recommend the amazing Popspring 2016 live recording. It's recorded by MTV, so the sound is great. It includes three original PTX songs, plus a live version of this Evolution of MJ - plus you get to hear Mitch rap, lol. They have quite a bit of original music along with their amazing covers. My current favorite covers are "Gold," "Problem," and "The Prayer." Their newest cover "Prayers for This World," is also really great (and there is a live version from the Hollywood Bowl). They do a lot of evolutions. My favorites are Ariana Grande and Rihanna. Superfruit did an incredible Rihanna medley, too. Superfruit is Scott and Mitch's side former project that started with a vlog for fun, and eventually they put out a full on non-acapella EP and did a tour.
And they just released their 2022 Christmas Album last night.

The talent of Pentatonix is so extensive and spans quite a few years now.
You should find plenty of songs you can relate to.
We can recommend all kinds of songs, but their list is long and diverse.
We can all find something to love.
No worries about the filter. Reactors have a hard time with PTX. A lot of their videos get taken down. Old Home Free does too. You should have no problem with their, Home Free's newer stuff since it's their own label, and we know they love their reactors. BTW, lovers of both bands refer to themselves as Pentafries! Nothing wrong with loving both bands!! They are both so talented! 😃

All their evolution and mashup videos are this good. They can pull them all off live too. They’re really the best of this genre. They set the bar for all the other groups to follow.
It never fails how irritating it is when reactors have to tell the viewers why they're using filters or Why they pause during the videos. This is a Reaction video. I want the reactor to react/comment on the videos. I rarely watch reactors who watch the video nonstop and doesn't comment on the video until the end with "I like it." ... Uhmmm...and???? .. This is why I enjoy your videos. You comment on it.
I wake up every day with comments saying " Way to Mess up a grammy award winning video" or "watch the video right" or some nonsense and im like " you go ahead and make a reaction with no filter and upload it then tell me if its blocked" like wtf do they know about the process. some of these videos i have to take hours editing because they are blocked 3 or 4 times!

Usually PTX and Home Free fans make only loving, kind comments. There are always haters, just keep going and ignore. Responding to them gives them power. I was one of the ones that advised using filters to avoid blocking. We have watch the vids over and over so we are more looking at your reaction and hearing what you say about our HF & PTX!

Yay - another Mitch stan! His voice is unique and so beautiful. If you want to hear the ultimate Mitch slap and how he sounds live, jetlagged and on Red Bulls, watch Aha - Singapore. You will hear Avi sing so low he blows the speakers and Mitch sing crazy high in a mixed belt! It's insane! It was recorded just by a fan so the sound quality isn't great (especially after Avi blew the speakers!) but that makes it even more incredible!
Pentatonix are the masters of mash-ups. They can take 2 songs and make it seem like it was always meant to be 1.
The docu. was filmed during their 2015 tour. So interesting as you learn some background on the members.
You may like their cover of Megan Trainor's song No - it's a great one with a sassy Mitch (with a cool haircut!). It's another early one and Avi and Kevin are on fire in it as well. Yes, they are all incredibly talented - I believe what makes them stand above other very talented artists is their respect and humbleness in the group for each other. There is no 'lead' singer as you've probably noticed, as they bring in the member best suited for the part. When a song does call for one 'lead' the rest of the group are incredible in the 'background' supporting whoever is at the forefront. To hear Mitch's (and the rest of the group's) lower register, try their cover of Mad World - it's more recent and has Matt as the bass singer.
I second this choice. It's beautifully crafted and it's really an upgrade from Tears For Fears' original.
PTX are the ROYALTY of "Evolution of" and mashups! For mashups, I highly recommend La La Latch, and New Rules X Are You That Someboday. OR a wonderful Xmas mashup is their rendition of Winter Wonderland / Don't Worry Be Happy featuring Tori Kelly. It's great! (Oh and FYI, their Xmas music is AMAZING and we Pentaholics will happily watch your reactions to it at ANY time of year)! 😁

Usually the people complaining about pausing or filters on a video are the occasional watcher of reaction videos. Those of us who regularly watch reactions are very much aware of what people need to do to keep their videos from being blocked and that sme can be an issue. We also know Ptx love reactors. Unfortunately their label doesn’t.

I've seen where some folks have complained about you singing along. Personally, I love to see you get so into the song that you can't help but sing along! If I could carry a tune for more than one note (okay, not even that long), I'd sing along, too! I also love when you talk back to them during their out-takes. I do it, too.
Watch Kiara's Gold, then the far superior PTX cover...but I repeat myself.

I don’t know how you feel about Heavy Metal but Tommy Johansson, guitarist for Swedish band Sabaton and guitarist and vocals for Swedish band Majestic released a really terrific cover this morning of a Twisted Sister song.

To avoid the SME copyrights police, just copy the SME copyright info from the original video into 50 the discription on your reaction, and pause at least 1 time per 1 minute of play (IE: 50 second of play 10 second of talk.) Then they cannot claim you are violating their rights. At the least it has worked for many other reactors. Still what you are doing is fine.... but add a link to the original is good for those new to PTX to see the original without interuptions.
