Yes, if a parent fails in his/her duty of care it could be held as negligence. In some cases it could even be a criminal offence especially if it involves the provision of necessaries.

Paa Kwesi, thanks for the observation. The Everyday Law series is intended for the ordinary Ghanaian,who is just interested in the practical use of the law. that is why we dont input cases.
however, for deeper appreciation of the law ie for exams and academic insights,the course-based videos are designed for that.
