How do you get a agent or manager? Do you just find a company and send in a headshot? What's the process of finding your "team?"

What is your best tip for reading scripts? I have good emotion when reading a script but I can hardly string two lines together. Any tips?
For your case I’d suggest using physical emotions (if you can) too create Fluent flow between each line

Hi, I’m not an actor but from what I’ve learned from the internet usually you start without an agent/manager unless you know people in the industry that can help you. If not there are sometimes meeting with casting directors or agents through acting classes, or if you can find an acting job you can ask people there if they could recommend someone. It’s not easy in general if you don’t have connections in this business, but everything comes with time and experience

What if ur agent gets u in a show but u don’t want them anymore do u have to leave them when ur finessed the show cause they need to get there cut or do u leave them and lose the show

You can’t choose what you want your agent to give u auditions for it’s just whatever comes up but you can say what type of shows

I live in a small town in Maryland and I wanna be an actor so bad, but there’s barely any local theatres here, workshops, or agencies. The agencies are in a different city here and my parents don’t even want me to be an actor, so I don’t know how they would take me there. How can I find an agency I can trust and that is near me? i live in a small town in ontario i used to live in toronto where there is plenty of agents and mangers but then i moved more north and i was extremely confused just like you what i did is i just got an agent that was in toronto if you have a big city near you (they usually say within 3 or less hours drive away especially for interviews or auditions) you can usually go in to a meeting and talk to them about distances and stuff like that

Wait when filming a show or movie does the actor or actress have to pay the company people???
Nope. The actor is the one that gets paid. If someone ever asks you to pay them for you to be in their show/movie, it's a scam. Run as fast as you can lol. But no seriously, if they tell you to pay them it's not legit.
Do you have to live in L.A in order to get with an L.A agency?
I don't think so, I live in a small town in Canada but I'm looking for agencies in Toronto, Ottawa, etc. Try finding one near you or you can go somewhere else. Good luck :)

1. A phone/shared computer is fine!!
2. Yes, many child/teen actors are in a real school! You just would have an on set tutor whenever you were filming

Agent is better in my opinion because you can find easier contracts. Managers are good to but mostly they encourage you. Good luck:)

Hey I want to start being films what casting site you suggest I'm only 12
Be very careful, I advise you find an agent near you and when you sort it out you can get auditions from Disney, Netflix, ABC, Hulu, etc. Also take acting classes near you! I suggest Backstage (money) or Casting Taylor (US) but most of the shows are commercials, student films, short films, etc. Good luck :)

1. If you have little or no experience find a theater/drama school 2. Find a agent/manager or they will recommended one to you, 3 Keep gaining more experience, You probably won't get with Disney or Netflix or Nickelodeon but being in an ad is a good start! Good luck :)
